hello, im having issues with my chatbot commands not working, custom and built in modules/commands dont work even though i have them toggled, and the bot twitch account set to be a mod. even timers dont work. whats strange is that they USED to, but all ive done when it comes to "changing my commands" is when i did the RAID sponsorship, it added a !raid command, which worked fine till the end. after that, none of my commands or timers work

I'm not really sure what the issue is here. MR is showing in my OBS, all settings included, when I press Show on stream.
It shows for stream too. You can even turn video on\ off from the MR dock in OBS.Live.

Hey I've been having the same problem. I was also having trouble following those instructions, BUT I discovered that I needed to open the StreamElements specific Activity Feed, not the Twitch one. Initally, in the Twitch Acitivty Feed after I copy-pasted "store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()" and pressed enter I would get an error message. But after I repeated that in the SE Feed there was no error message and now my bot account is linked up.

Im having the same issue here. My chatbot will not work while using my channel name (not using a custom channel, just the hosting channel name). I've logged out and back in, parted and rejoined the chat bot (both from the dashboard and from within OBS), logged OBS out of and back into my channel, and nothing. Any help would be amazing.

Hey everyone! I had a question, most likely a very dumb one but I am new to streaming so be gentle haha. I started streaming a month or so ago using StreamElements/Obs live and it's been amazing. My PC ended up biting the dust and it was more beneficial for me to build a new one (it was old) than try and repair the old one. I'll still repair it but needed something more robust for streaming.
My question is... once I log into stream elements on my obs live on my new PC will it remember all my scenes and what not since they're all web connected to stream elements for my sources? If that makes any sense? or am I going to have to rebuild my scenes?

So incredibly frustrating. Still having the same issue with chat commands not working. Specifically the same issue @bold drum had brought up as well. I had already tried the "part channel" before it was mentioned in a response to them and it didn't work for myself, and it didn't work for them.
I don't understand why they worked, then some stopped working, then none of them worked. They're "turned on" in the StreamElements page. S.E. is modded in chat. No timers pop up from S.E. either. Does anyone have any other ideas as what can be done to fix it? I've done them offline AND during a stream just to see if it would work one way or another and it doesn't.

Yea I'm not really sure how to explain it but basically, the video I'm using for the stinger transition doesn't play all the way through sometimes. in addition to this the properties I assigned it don't always work either. It's like I change to one scene and it works fine but I change to a different one and it's buggy. I'm genuinely confused as to why this is happening. It's really weird. I'd love some help.

Hello - I'm uncertain if this is the right place to do this, but when ever I stream, roughly 2 hours in or so i get massive frame drop and my stream completely restarts. I don't have to hit "start streaming" again or anything but twitch recognizes that it's a new stream. I've not had this problem when using Streamlabs OBS. I do also use Stream FX. Any suggestions/advice is greatly appreciated.

I did all of what I was required to do which are:
1. Use OBS.Live
2. Connect and Mod StreamElements bot
3. Add your StreamElements Tipping Link to your Twitch Panels
but every time I click on authorize, nothing happens and the the button still says

The username never changes. If you log out and back in the alias will change, which means all the generated URLs like the tipping page and profile page etc. but the username in the user settings will stay the same.

oh snap i was dealing with the activity feed and got them both mixed up 
our chat is basically twitch chat 1:1
i'm not really sure what's the difference between ours and the native OBS one

mmmm so definitely for both issues I'd consult OBS if they know anything about setting windows 11 may have changed. I can only assume they got additional reports of that
regarding the chat thing I'm baffled.
if you want to test, uninstall OBS.Live and see if the behavior on both issues changes
if it's resolved by removing OBS.Live update me here and we'll reinstall the plugin and take the issue to developers
but if both issues still happen without the plugin, I'd suggest consulting OBS

yeah make sure to only uninstall the plugin and not the program, via add\ remove programs
and if you see anything regarding 'delete all user data' make sure to **not **choose that option
but yeah i had to reinstall it like 5 times when i had an issue i worked on

I know what the problem is and I have sort of solved it, but not quite.
What is blocking the chat enlargement is the feeding activity. When I uncheck it, I can enlarge and if I turn it on, the enlargement is blocked.
I hope this will be fixed in a future update.
For the audio, I'll try to search but I really can't see. I have a GOXLR, it's quite different.

StreamElements is in my OBS-interface, but can't use commands in chat and it seems it doesn't recognize SE at all other than that the interface is altered with the StreamElements colors on the buttons and so on... Hello all. I'm having issues with Media Requests. For some reason, Audio keeps doubling up even though I have it all routed to ONLY ONE SOURCE in OBS unless I control the overlay's audio within OBS... and even then, the audio is completely out of sync with the video.
Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this? Would be GREATLY appreciated! ❤️

Also... The audio for media request is STILL PLAYING in OBS when I leave the scene or shut down the overlay. It SHOULD stop when the scene the isn't active.

Hi all. Did a recent Twitch username change and also recently switched to StreamElements. Can't get the Alerts working for the life of me, despite logging out and back in, modding the Chatbot, and deleting the imported StreamLabs Alertbox to make a whole new one fresh in StreamElements Overlays to be safe. Any ideas on how to get the Alertbox to work?

Hi, I recently changed my Twitch username and have logged out and back in to streamelements - FYI the old username was 'liberatedpelican' and the new one is 'PelicanLib' - if you need to change anything/activate anything. I've rejoined with the bot etc as per the SE.Community bot 3 part guide.

hi. there's a bug in the current obs.live version where it fails to supress the default obs studio update prompt on launch whcih lets users update to 27.1.3 which then causes crashes due to obs.live expecting the older version. the menu item "check for update" correctly is overridden and comes back "no updates available"

window capure works fine but i have the issue with all game i try now. Games i already added are working fine. I had the issue once i reinsalled both streamelements and obs. That helped but this time it does nothing.

Hey everyone, I can not get 'Set custom bot name' to work, even after logging in to the alt account and authorising it, yet it still won't appear on the list. So the crash occurred, but the settings were saved this time upon logging in. I've removed the targeting and it's displaying the custom name as desired. The crash is odd, though!

Good morning! I am trying to fix the custom bot name on the OBS.live activity feed. When I select "set custom bot name" and click "Connect Custom Bot Account" it pulls up the API auth login. I enter my information to log in the custom bot, and hit authorize. It closes the window and nothing changes. I have done the above recommended debugging but when I enter "store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration" it spits out an Uncaught referenceError. Any further ideas to fix the issue? let me know if there is additional information you need as well.

I am hoping someone can help me with an issue I am having and struggling to fix 😦 I am fairly tech savvy and have done plenty of troubleshooting and google searching and attempted fixes but still need help 😦 Some (not all) of my alerts are having their sound (not image) double up when someone Subs for example. Its difficult to diagnose and test fixes for since when I requeue an existing alert (that doubled up with sound) it sounds fine (so its only live alerts that bug out weirdly). I work in support myself and do a lot of troubleshooting. What's weird with this one is... Live - sound is double for new subs for example, but if I replay the alert - no duplication. Confirmed to be live on stream (not just my end) and I double checked things like ensuring there is only one alert layer on the overlay etc.. I feel like the bit with it only happening live for alerts is telling of what it could be maybe but I don't know what.

I switched everything over from streamlabs because you guys have more options (despite the ui and ease of setup lacking a little) but doubled up alerts are obviously a bit of a manageable pain.

The visual alert is singular (at least from what I can tell) but there is a second audio that plays slightly delayed ..

As a final check.... Ive made the browser have it's audio controlled via obs and then muted that in the mixer... And will see when I steam next (and get a sub) if it come through once or twice.

Again I'm limited in how I can test it, since replaying an alert never replicated the issue, only live actual events do when they first come in.
Also I've set this all up exactly as I had it in streamlabs and never had an issue there... That's why I feel like it's something fundamental with something steamelements does differently (or something in the overlays or something in the obslive bit)

Yes, switched everything over, first stream it happened. I'll try the log out login (after confirming if the controlling audio via obs does or doesn't work) and then come back.
I guess I'll just fiddling around and if I cant fic it I'll just have to switch back to labs. I left my stuff there but disabled just in case I ran into issues so thankfully I can revert without too much hassle just would have preferred to use elements instead.

I have 🙂 I've also logged into Twitch on my custom bot account and disconnected from StreamElements - Custom Bot, then tried reconnecting. The screenshot above is what I see after I click "Authorize", as defined in step 5.
The login API isn't broken, because it does register in Twitch that there's a connection.
But StreamElements doesn't seem to register the connection.
Within OBS.Live, that is.

Recordings for sure, not 100% sure of when live. Gotten conflicting info from my chat (go figure lol) when live, whenever someone talks, I do see my elgato spike in volume but I haven't had a chance to confirm myself while live. I just noticed it wasn't today and it seems like it hasn't for a bit now

I would look into the audio sources in OBS, make sure they are picking up on the audio coming in when your teammates speak, then go into advanced audio properties and make sure "monitor and output" is selected for the relevant sources.

This is where you make sure that your audio sources are picking up on incoming sound, and not muted. Clicking the cog to the right and "advanced audio properties" will let you make sure that different audio sources are set to "monitor and output", meaning that they play both for you and for the stream/recording.

Thank you, first of all. Second. The only thing that is set to Monitor and Output is my elgato. I think the last update reset a ton of setting because I had to resize everything recently too (which, if the updates can not touch personal settings, that would be great). Besides the elgato what else should be Monitor and Output?

Follow these steps. It got my custom bot working!
- Right-click your OBS desktop shortcut (not the OBS.Live shortcut) and navigate to Properties
- In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)

I turned my desktop options as well to monitor and output and I just listened to the vod and there is no other voices...and trust me. I was in a post game Warzone lobby =( HEEEEEELP!!!

hey, not sure if this is the best spot for this.. but here's my issue:
I noticed this issue a few days back when my stream informed me that they can't hear alerts anymore. It's weird. I have music, alerts and some web sources and it seems that they couldn't hear any of it, even though I could hear the monitoring just fine and they were all set to either "Monitor Off" or "Monitor + Output". Here's what I tried so far:
Disabled all my Global Audio Devices in the settings and set them up again (and mistakenly deleting my mic filters... rip)
Deleted all the media sources and created them from scratch
Changed the track all the sources play in and made sure that they should be heard on stream or recording
Installed my audio drivers from scratch

Hello, My bitrate has been super unstable the past 2 weeks. It is supposed to be set at 5000 but it has been going from 0 (shutting down the stream basically) all the way to 10,000+ and still is unstable (red box) then. This only started recently and some days are worse than others but its every day. I have had dynamically change bitrate off. Sometimes when I test my internet speed its upload is only 20Mbps but other times its 40Mbps and still a 0 bitrate.
Can someone please help? I have tried the stuff different blogs mention but nothing seems to work and its making streaming impossible. I will change ISP if need be but Id like to test all my options first

Right, so I am having an incredibly confusing time trying to set up a custom name for my bot.
At first I completely borked it, then with a little guidance from an incredible buddy I managed to unbork it, to an extent. My bot now works in chat but is assigned to my main channel and not the bot one (even though I never tried that option in OBS Live at all)

I'm trying to set up a new stinger transition of doors closing twisting and then opening but I'm seeing the next scene before the stinger even starts. and at some points it just shows the scene, it plays the stinger for a single frame and then switches

having an issue with my stream overlay not playing stream alerts audio through my stream or a simple recording. I can hear it in streamlabs obs (used previously) and obs studio (using now) but it wont be heard in either of them in streams or recordings. Hi! I saw the advertisement while on streamlabs, so I filled everything in and when I went back to check it said approved and I got the raid alert put onto@my stream including a banner saying how much raids I’ve done ( which is at 0 ) 😅

posted here asking for help in regards to I can not locate media player or use my own bot name anymore since recent update.. I noticed theres a dock system under the view tab.. no bot no music player either... in the past you guys have been amazing... but not replying into an enquirey for over a week is poor... I dont like saying things the way i am .. I guess it born out of frustration

Hi! I've been having trouble with connecting my custom bot account to my OBS live since changing passwords etc after the twitch leak. I have gone through all of the steps and have attempted to connect my custom bot account/log in to my bot account several times and it never saves and never sets the account as an option for my current bot name. Any help is appreciated!

I'm having the same issue. I kept getting errors when opening OBS so I had to completely uninstall then reinstall everything including user settings. Now I've reconnected my twitch and trying to set my custom bot name again and exact same as @nocturne grail described is happening for me. Followed steps above and after step 1 I get an error saying the name specified in the target box is not valid.

it was super weird for me - step 2 WOULD NOT work for me at all and then it worked on the 6th or 7th try! the above should work after that though 🙂

Hey! I just got a new microphone 3 days ago and i noticed that in OBS i have odd stutter noises when turning off my noise suppression filters, if i listen to myself any other program (discord, windows) i cant hear it. Help please! You can hear it during the streams and id like it to be GONE 😛

I stream poker and use display capture to show the various tables.
I have not changed any settings in OBS in a long time but after the update of a poker client OR OBS (not sure), all windows from that poker software (BetOnline) are invisible in OBS. When I move the window around the white outlines of it are visible in OBS but as soon as I release the window it goes completely invisible again and I can see my desktop behind that window.
I have tried automatic, DXGI and Windows 10 as capture methods, no change with any of them.
I am not sure what to do about this and would appreciate any input.

@brisk umbra thee is a chat box for OBS.live which is intended for SE. If you’re using that, go to the top of your screen where you see File, Edit, ect… You should see StreamElements and OBS.Live Docks. You can select it from there.

You should be able to add it to the overlays by dragging it between the the other items on your screen. Note* not all locations will allow the chat bot box.

Ohhhh I miss read that then.
Yea, go into your overlays in SE and select the overlay you’re using. At the bottom left there is a + icon and in there under engagements you should see chat box

Is there a specific reason for using a stream key, you could use the connect account method, it's easier in my opinion.
