I’m having a problem bringing overlays over into OBS.live, only part of the overlay will show up in the browser source (my social medias) and not my followers or anything else. Here is the overlay preview vs what OBS.live shows me when I put the browser source in. I’ve also turned off Hardware acceleration in hopes it would solve the problem

Hello, I need your help because I own a 4Core VPS and I have Streamelement OBS Live installed on it. I stream a web page with numbers and curves (trading). The broadcast works very well, on the other hand, when I disconnect from my VPS and I leave OBS Live running with the web page open, the live broadcast continues but the data on my web page (the figures and the curves) are not more updated. I have to stay connected to my VPS for it to work. Could someone help me correct this problem?

I use the custom chat bot so in my chat it is my name instead of streamelements and yesterday it stopped working. It reverted back to streamelements. I did change my password on twitch so would that be the reason? This is me trying to log into my account with the new password but it seems to not do anything. Is there fix for this please : D

Hello! I cannot make my custom commands activate on my stream. It works when I open the twitch interface, but not on OBS Live. It was working previous to this.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Since the 20th i've suddenly been getting a lot of events where my bitrate drops to 0KB/s then my stream goes offline and reconnects.

The 20th also happens to be the day two things happened. I reseated my capture card and sadly one of the "holding brackets" on the side of the slot had snapped off because of something stupid. But my friend told me that it should be fine anyway considering the PC doesn't move etc and it seems to be sitting properly.
I also had a heavy thunderstorm happen which i believe is when the first account of the disconnecting happened. I just quickly looked at the Twitch Inspector thing and saw this image that i have posted. What i am curious about is, can this disconnecting issue at all be because of the Capture Card thing or is it just internet related? I get new internet this Friday so i am only really worried about the card being the problem.

I can see that the configuration thing says there is an Audio/Video configuration issue? But then it just says to check the internet so i have no idea.

One other thing also. When i boot the 2nd PC lately. Essentially, the OBS on the 2nd PC is always starting with the capture card looking something akin to this https://gyazo.com/fc0bf0cc8f55e9421a7fea65b594a9fe. This image is the first time i saw it flashing but usually it's a little block of the elgato no signal while 3/4 of it are capturing my other PC. It seems to fix itself if i just restart that 2nd PC though and then it's capturing normally?? I have no idea what is going on with it.

it could be both honestly, both your framerate and bitrate go down so it could be a hardware issue as well as a network issue, you can do a quick bandwidth test to twitch servers to see how's your connection to the twitch servers, you can use this tool for that https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest

Prime Gaming (new and resub) and paid subscriptions (resub only) must be shared in chat manually by the person subscribing in order for the subscription information to be sent to StreamElements. For Prime Gaming, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. how come some high quality browser sources from streamelements editor seem to chug very hard? whereas they show fine on the website. and actual media sources in OBS dont chug at all?

i've seen an example of this in the NOVA package from @stone basinordie

@dense atlas, never post your StreamElements overlay links in public or show them on stream as they contain sensitive data. When you have a problem with your overlays and someone from Staff is asking which one specifically, they want the overlay's name.

Hello I am having issues with Elgato game audio. It wasn't showing up. Now I have no Idea what I did but, my main computer volume won't switch off of "Elgato" as the default audio. if the donation was given via your tipping link then yes, the hold has an effect here

but if nothing was ingested for you in your activity feed or revenue history - it means either the transaction failed, or the tipping link wasn't used

it could even be on hold prior to processing on the tipper's side, even though it shows as 'sent' for them

I was wondering if there would be a reason a specific overlay wouldn't import when doing the import method done by nerd or die Or the OBS live all imports at once.

everytime i try to use import built into OBS i get Failed importing Scene Collection. it's only on ONE Overlay

Well for our overlays, you don't install them. You'd copy a source URL and paste it on OBS

You would have to ask Nerd or Die the specifics. Typically their overlays come with a link that adds the overlay to your overlays in your StreamElements dashboard that you add to obs as a browser source. I believe they usually have one for each scene (depending on package) and one for alerts and events.

I use the NoD kinetic package and it’s an old one

It creates the overlays for me and all I do is add them to obs as browser sources 🙂

First of all, you can resize browser sources.
Secondly, make sure that the resolution is set correctly.

Hello, I just made the switch to streamelements, I am setting up my alert box, and when i test it, in the overlay editor, it shows up fine, but on my scene/"live screen" the gif and text are cut in half, leaving out the right side of the gif and text. ive messed with resolution a few times, and have had it work once for about 10 minutes, and now it is back to being cut in half. please help!

Like you correctly said, it's a resolution related issue

make sure that the resolution matches the overlay size and that nothing gets left out of the canvas when you emulate

However I do have a unique problem now...

streamlabs OBS has a way to log into a friend's account as an "admin" with an invite link, allowing you to act as them while you're on the website, even though I'm still logged into my account.

I imported my streamlabs OBS data (recent follows and donations) while that was still logged in, and it imported all of my friend's donations instead

How do I reset that and import only my stuff?

As of today I've started getting JavaScript errors in my overlay browser sources - all some variant of unable to access <property name> of object null. This only happens through the OBS webview, it functions through Firefox properly

It increases because it's using a chromium browser for each scene. So if each scene is active, then it is therefore using more CPU

Is there a way to group a set of custom commands under a single timer? Like for instance I have a command so you can redeem a video on stream to be played.... Let's call this Video 1.... Now if someone would to redeem Video 2, then that is on its own timer. I think you get the idea.... Hi! I have a problem with the chat in OBS. I can't see messages in the OBS chat and can't send a message myself. When I click the wheel there's "Error loading data". I also don't have any chat stats in Stream Elements dashboard. Only for my previous name. I changed my name few days ago so is that causing the problem? 6. Navigate to the Console tab
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

Hello all. I am having issues with my alerts. The emulators are all working fine on Streamelements website. My alerts are playing slow in OBS, including the image and the music. Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

it's not really an issue, it's a weak CPU, if I were you, I'd try removing some of the animated assets to see if it helps with the loading time

Also, if you've got an alertbox in every overlay, removing them in the overlay editor, and just use one box, copied and pasted accross your OBS scenes would be a lot leaner as far as system resources go

I have a 1650 super and an i5-4670k
It's ok when I play offstream but when I stream the most recent games are unstreammable (Hunt runs smooth on my pc but the streaming crash down at 10fps)
I already lowered the bitrate (between 4000 and 6000)
Tried nvenc new (maybe my gpu isn't so good with that) and played around (output is already 720p locked at 60fps both on obs and in game)
Can I suck some resources somewhere avoiding the cpu upgrade or with that i5 I can't do more than this?

I already tried turning off the stream preview, the best I had is 0.5% frame loss for rendering lag (turning down at minimum the in game graphic settings)

so the past week my streams been acting strange and, like halfway through the stream starts dropping frames like crazy. I can't, for the life of me, figure out the issue. I'm pretty sure it's a connection issue, but why is it happening now all of a sudden? pic. was a test during one of these episodes

no im just frustrated and i feel unfairly treated by coincidences and situations out of my control that it happens to me only when i really need it to work against my situation and competition with the current pandemic crisis that i sorely am questioning the purpose of my life but if you think moral high ground is the most concerning thing about all this forget i ask anything

After you click save in the editor, make sure to refresh the overlay in obs

I have streamelements set as a mod and part of my channel, I set up the tipping page and panel, I have an active overlay but it won't give me the option for the custom bot name under ground control

We recommend OBS.Live as it is up2date, Ground Control is not updated anymore and considered obsolete, so use at your own risk pretty much.

using laptop with nvidia3060+integrated graphics, OBS capture display not working, fixed by forcing the use of integrated graphics but now my stream elements browser sources for my overlays stopped working... any known fix to get both capture display and overlays working under high performance or integrated graphics?

you can setup hotkeys to show/hide specific sources in OBS

OBS settings > hotkeys and then find the mp4 source that you should already have added to your scenes and set a hotkey for show/hide

can someone help me with overlay sound? I set up Browsersource with volume over OBS. Monitoring is on. In Settings the correct monitoring audio device is set up. Stream can hear the alerts but i cant. dont know where there problem is.

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

Mid live stream, OBS decided it didnt want to pick up my mic anymore. My mic get detected in every other program except OBS. I've tried updating drivers and a lot of other things, but I have no clue what's wrong. I believe my mic got partially unplugged for a second.

OBS might be set to use your default mic, and if it got unplugged, that may have changed in windows. Might need to change it back

Well that would be a bit harder to troubleshoot, could be a few things happening there that we can't really see. My other suggestion would be to see if the mic is being picked up in device manager
