I don't believe either of those things should cause a crash of my stream... Especially not at the exact same time of being live on multiple streams on multiple days? It seems to be a bigger issue with OBS or the OBS Live plugin instead. I will go ahead and change those settings but I do not expect that will fix my issue

I doubt it’s the obs.live plug-in as more than yourself would be crashing at the exact same time every stream. As you can see from this channel there aren’t that many people whose streams are crashing like yours

No, it's not like I "end" the stream either, I still have an "end stream" button and on my end it seems the stream is still live except that my bitrate drops to 0 and I get a "disconnected" notification from OBS

I assumed the same as well, however if I click "stop streaming" and "start streaming" immediately after then it connects immediately and the stream goes live again. Also all other things I am connected to work perfectly as if there is no network interruption, I also log all network activity in my internal network and none of the traffic is dying or being lost it seems to specifically be just my stream that "disconnects" on the network. But on my end that traffic just stops coming from my PC it isn't like it is unable to reach out to twitch and such it just stops being sent at all instead

I have finally received my first Tip a few minutes ago, off-stream. It was from a friend. The thing is, I was waiting for it to update on my Dashboard to see if it went through, and unfortunately, it didn't. I checked my Tipping Settings only to notice that the PayPal email I set there was not the PayPal email I use. In fact, it was my other email. I realize my mistake was that. But my question is,

Did the tip go to an actual, unregistered PayPal account? (I know it's unregistered, since it's my email, after all)
And is there a way to maybe fix that? Or is the tip gone to the void? 😫 Thanks in advance.

@fierce hemlock if a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification. Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

So here's something that's frustrating me currently. I've spent a few hours making my overlays for OBS look great, utiliizing browser sources from OBS. Trouble is, I have multiple browser sources per scene, and the last stream ran very poorly. My CPU/bandwidth can't handle it. So I'm trying to streamline the overlays into one single browser source PER OBS scene. But I can't seem to "scale" some of my layers within streamelements. Meaning I can make the window smaller, but the element inside it remains the same size. Can anyone enlighten me on how to "scale" the element within streamlabs overlay manager?

So Intermission, In game starting soon etc. But the In game and intermission have to keep getting switched cos the launcher and in game have different overlays. Hello, I'm having difficulty with videos not playing when I switch scenes. I have two .wmv videos that I use as a BRB screen and a Stream Ending screen. Both of these videos worked earlier today, but when I loaded the program up this evening, they both wouldn't play. I am very new to using OBSLive so I could be missing something very obvious, but if you have a video set as a source within a scene, when you switch to that scene, the video should play if you have "Restart playback when source becomes active" ticked, correct?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

So this error I'm having relates to media request, I'm a twitch streamer also.

I've had several back up playlists for the last few months, but none of them seem to get around this issue.

The issue: So, my current playlist has over 130 songs in it, sometimes at the beginning of the playlist, or middle, or when I have it set to shuffle playlist, there are moments when once the playing song ends, it does NOT go to the next song in the queue, regardless if the next song is a requested song or from the current back up playlist.

I've had this happen in the web browser version, the ground control application, and through the OBS live extension. The skip button also just grays itself out as well if I click it. Thankfully the OBS live version has a simple refresh button that will play the next song in queue once the dock is refreshed. Sometimes, I also get the "Stream elements it's better" ad within my media request, and this happens a lot

Any thoughts? I tried to plot as much information as possible. I'd like to note that when I'm using the OBS live version, I'm logged out of the streamelements site from my browsers, and from the ground control applications I've got setup on my gaming and streaming pc(s)

Yeah it won’t matter @small siren. That 21:9 ratio isn’t supported by twitch because majority of viewers are on 16:9 or 4:3 (god forbid) monitors so they don’t really let ultrawide streams display correctly. The smoosh them into a 1080 window

Hello - I just bought and installed an ElGato 4k60 PRO. When I add it as a source in OBS, I get the desktop and toolbar from my gaming PC but that's it. The game I see on my gaming monitor is not coming through to the new capture card it appears. Any suggestions?

@kindred fox fixed it...all I had to do was set my video capture to the game, then play the game in 16:9 then change my video output to 1280x720 and transform all my overlays to stretch to fit

Now I can play the game, monitor twitch, change scenes all on one screen.

I have a problem. I do have my overlay setup using stream elements. However, my chat wont appear during my stream. I stream on Facebook by the way. All alerts, notifications, tips, stars, etc are working fine. the chat was gone by the way. I tried adding a stream chat using the stream tools in the overlay editor and tried again. still no chat appeared.

For the record, when I started using streamelements i really loved it cause everything is appearing. Just last week it was gone

I previously used Nvec to encode my streams, but now since I switched to amd I now have to use their encoder.

• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

does anyone have the same issue:
I edit my Stream Settings in the activity feed and press save at the bottom. When i press the backwards arrow it says, i have unsaved changes and if i want to save it. So i need to double confirm the change. This is a little bit annoying ....

do you use the Auto Config from OBS for your Stream Settings? or would you recommend it? 😄 Because usually the Auto Config in many apps is not that great...

and why should you use the Media Request from StreamElements? Because DMCA is gonna hit you hard with all those youtube videos available to be played...

there is 0 relation between Media Request and DMCA

you can play endless NCS songs via Media Request

up to the user to be updated with copyrights issues, it is not related to MR nor should it be perceived we are responsible for what users play on their stream
