@shy mountain for some reason when I do the import overlays in obs.live plugin in obs studio, there's also an option to "Import Overlays". When I do that, I get an error after 100%. If I check only "Import Alerts" and "Import Tips", it becomes successful. When I go the streamelements website, I also only see Alerts and Tips to be imported from SLOBS.

Hmmm. Have you tried checking if URL is still valid? If you reset your secrets, all of your overlay URLs become invalid

From what I see, you have no sources there, just a blank canvas

Also if you have no hardware acceleration option in advanced settings, then your OBS may be outdated.

If you've copied the video source from one scene to the other, then of cource you will get the same size for every scene

BUt then again you can still manipulate the camera's source size in each scene individually

So I had the sources in the wrong order was the first thing, and the second thing is I had the camera at full screen, and I needed to shrink it down to fit the box on the overlay

Are the alerts going throught the right output? Since u use a separate mixer, somethig might have gone wrong.

However, I ran into 2 problems when working through streamelements.com to design the overlay, 1: some of the images and sounds for alerts are not being saved(they are shown in the editor, but are not used when emulating) and 2: my alert sounds continue longer then the indicated alert durations. Sorry for the spam, but my issue from last night is still not resolved, would like some help: currently making custom alerts. However, I ran into 2 problems when working through streamelements.com to design the overlay, 1: some of the images and sounds for alerts are not being saved(they are shown in the editor, but are not used when emulating) and 2: my alert sounds continue longer then the indicated alert durations. Any idea what's going on here?

Hey, I'm experiencing an issue with my audio. My webcam is currently picking up audio but isn't an audio source or registering as an input at all. It's causing a lot of static and horrible sound quality when I stream. It's definitely my webcam because it stops when I turn it off. Issue is, the webcam microphone alone is terrible, so I need to use my headset. Any idea what to do?

hello, some had recently issues with refresh rate drop while streaming with obs? i'm playing fullscreen mode, csgo. never had this issue before... in the midle of the game some drops.. fps stay stable but a refresh rate problem is there.

This is one of those weird ones. I would recommend checking the webcams settings directly, and also checking your Sound Control Settings to make sure the microphone on it is disabled if it is there. It could be "listening" to it, causing this. Other than that, I am stumped

This says that the rendering lag you are experiencing is due to your GPU being maxed out. The link above does give you some suggestions to help fix the issue

I would also recommend making sure to close down anything you are not using while streaming. It can be VERY CPU/GPU heavy. I can see you have a decent machine for it, but it is always good to be safe. I keep my task manager open so that I can monitor everything to make sure it is within reasonable numbers. I don't like it when things get up to 80% or higher regularly, as spikes will drive me into bad zones

From the hamburger menu, going into stream settings, I am trying to use my username as the custom bot name. But commands will not show up at all when I have custom bot name selected. I want to use the Toggle Mute Alerts option, but it keeps giving me the yellow danger symbol and not doing what it is supposed to do. 1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

All data is handled in the cloud in your StreamElements account on the site.

@kind garnet Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

whats up everyone... got into streaming a couple weeks back and everything was fine... i ended up getting the elgato wave mic and everything worked fine up until like a week ago everything is functioning fine except i cant seem to get my game audio from my gaming pc that i built to the stream pc (a capable ASUS laptop) it suddenly just stopped working one day. note the wave mic came with a mixer software that works pretty well especially for a beginner i cant still route music, browser sounds, voice chat, etc through the mixer i just cant hear the game audio. anybody have any suggestions? i feel like i tried everything possible

Got an issue that I need a lot of help with. My OBS Game capture will only capture some games, but not the ones I want to get. I saw one option was to go back a few updates to an older OBS, but it still does not work. For example, the OBS can grab my Madden 20 on PC but not SWTOR, and I do not know why. My friend was able to capture it using his OBS, so I do not know what is wrong. Am I missing something?

@verbal burrow 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

@shy mountain just for information i found why the log appears. Its a cheap wish capturecard i got last week. When i dont send anything trough it it gives that error in the logs. When removed it stops. However my prob with stream dying i had had since i started using Stream elements OBS 6-9months agoo. So its not related. Ill wait for next stop and try to get a cleaner log 😄

4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name

Hey there, does anybody else has a lagging issue with a Logitech Streamcam ? It feels when playing somewhat higher cpu usage games the camera just starts to lag behind. (Say i move and on obs only moves 1-2 secs later). This Streamcam runs on a logitech program and thus runs more cpu aswell. However i can run it without that program but the camera zooms much more. Any1 with knowledge enough to lend a hand ?

This is because a backup requires both a profile and a scene collection. Without a backed up profile, you can't restore. Try backing up your current profile, and then try restoring things.

Not much. There are specific exports for Profile and Scene Collection that you're meant to do for this very reason.

Hello! Been a bit, but I have an OBS issue. When I try to turn on my media request, it will show the media request on the overlay, but then take it off and say "No active widgets were detected for media request." Looking at my overlays, it shows just fine on Streamelements.
I've never had an issue with this before, so I'm a bit lost.

Nevermind, I think I got it figured out.

For Future reference, in case anyone else has this issue, I went into the Overlay setup, put a new Media Request widget on the screen, and deleted the old one. After a save, it worked fine. ❤️

@solid wadi The default resolution for StreamElements overlays (theme and custom) is 1920x1080. Please add them in OBS at their full resolution and use CTRL+F to fit to screen if necessary. You can then downscale your stream in OBS settings > Video if you'd like https://i.imgur.com/6bWXxjR.png

Overlays, loaded externally on OBS or XSplit(or any other streaming software) and then broadcasted somewhere, will not be clickable.
What you may be referring to is the Youtube VOD linking at the end of the video, which we do not have any support or plan on having support, due to Youtube just being limiting.

From what I know Youtube streaming does not have those clickable spots at all, during the broadcasts.

@royal mica sorry maybe I espresssed wrongly... we were talking overlays... so I thought you meant How many Scene overlays I have and plan for... I know I can copy OBS scenes... what I mean is the different overlay I have... I have 5 different overlays and are customized to 4 to 5 games... so they are really about 20-25 overlays

And not having to use text, but use programmatic variable is a great convenience and mistakes void-er.

Like not having to type my streamer name, but just use [streamer] is a great help and avoid any typos.

I just not don't see why we have a Streamelements profile page where we can enter all our social media addresses in on place and not have them usable in a variable mode as in [streamer_Facebook] [streamer_Twitter], [streamer_website], etc. even if not clickable would makes it so much simpler to maintain multiple overlay, create new one and not making typos mistakes... especially since the coding is already there (proven by the existing [streamer] variable)

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Good morning. So, I've been having a problem recently. Whenever I stream, my mic just stops working. It'll be fine for a few seconds to minutes, but then it will just not pick up anything. The only way I've been able to have the mic pick up something is to go to audio properties, switch it to one thing, then switch it back. I do thag but then it stops working after a few seconds. I have a video if I need to send it. Any suggestions?
