Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

I am trying to configure the bot for moderation. Right now it is timing out the user that posted a link, but is not giving them the reason. It also deletes all their previous messages. Is there a way to configure it to delete just the message with the link? Thank you!

@timber depot it should only timeout for 1 sec on first offense then 500 secs timeout for the next offense. when a user is timed out it deletes all messages in chat from that user

deleting all messages on timeout is a twitch thing.

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live
2. exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
3. delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
4. start OBS.Live
5. Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

Whatever works best for you but the beauty of StreamElements is that it can all be one browser source. However, it really should not be playing four times.

I am unfortunately not familiar with this issue, but there are two things I would try before going too far.

1. Run it with SLOBS open.
2. Run it with SLOBS closed.

If still erroring, close both, run OBS as admin and try again. Even a computer restart can help sometimes

and I would recommend using the static variant

Hello, I have a problem uploading a video as a notification alert. When I upload it, it is not lagged, but as soon as I make adjustments and change the site its starts to lag a lot in the OBS but not on the Streamelements website. 🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hi, I need help if possible with working something out. I just become a affiliate so decided to buy a pc to be able to put overlays on top of the stream.
I have got most things working I think, but when I copy my overlay url (from streamelements) into my obs, I add a browser source to my scene, paste the url, click on shutdown when not visible, and set dimensions to 1920 1080.
And for some reason when I click accept, I doesn't show anything on screen, just the box outline, no overlay, alert sound or anything.
Could someone possibly help me find out what I'm doing wrong, and what I can do to fix it ASAP, as I had my very first subscriber last stream, and missed him even doing it for the first 10 mins because I had no notification to the stream atall, not even a chat bot

Congrats on the affiliate! ... i am not great with OBS, but what you have said so far is correct. Are you using the 'Alert Box'? and when you go to the overlay editor you should see a 'show love on stream' option in the emulate menu. Can you post a screen shot of what you see in OBS; i'll grab one of my newb setup

Using the Stream Elements Editor. I'm trying to put text over an image but I do not see that option anywhere. The order of layers in the edit section on the left is set to have the text on top of the layer I'm placing it in front of. However, no matter what I do it hides behind the image. Any thoughts?

I have been using browser source hardware acceleration, but now the browser source is only showing a black screen. Audio is fine. Turning off HW acceleration in OBS fixes it, but makes the source stutter (which is why I had enabled it). The only thing I can think of is I recently updated my Nvidia drivers and Chrome. WARNING: In submitting a closure request you will delete both linked accounts and loose all data from both accounts. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data(tips, subs, etc). You can still relogin with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

@ebon rapids Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card and a PC with OBS in order to have Overlays over your console gameplay.

minimum 8GB ram

Preferably a dedicated GPU (nvidia, because Nvenc)

@distant breach well some how i logged in originally with youtube and then went back and loggedin with youtube adding my fb and twitch to the one with fb and now cant get the youtube i need on the one with the others
