I'm having trouble with the audio portion of my overlay alerts in obslive. The visual portion of the overlay works fine when a follow/sub/etc happens but there is no audio queue given to viewers and I have the volume in the alerts sections turned up to 100%.

Sounds like you're not properly capturing your desktop audio. Check Settings>Audio in OBS and make sure it's listening to the correct device.

So why is it when I ran the auto config for fb before it set the video bitrate to 4000 but with twitch it set it at 6000.
I watched a video suggesting I put it at 2500 to 3000 but i noticed i was getting literally 1 frame a min on the stream itself if I watched through my phone. But obs showed 3000 green no dropped frames
I pay for 1 gigabit internet speed fyi

Also I was lead to believe hardware was better than software encoder wise but the same source said different

twitch has premium media encoders that are reserved for Partners then Affiliates, if there are any open premium encoders left regular streamers might possibly get access. Without premium encoder uploading at 6000 means nothing to Twitch. OBS only picks up dropped frames when packets get returned or dropped while sending to Twitch ingest server. In most cases using your gpu to encode in OBS is the best choice over the built in x264(CPU)

I am having some issues setting up OBSLive. I was able to successfully set up on my laptop, but didn't have the power to do the job. I set obslive up on a secondary desktop, and all I get is a black screen. I've been beating my head against the desk for 2 weeks.

I am having an issue using an animated overlay. While on the scene it will lag and look choppy for about 10 seconds, smooth out for about 5 seconds, then lag again. I have it at a custom framerate of 60 and checked Shutdown source when not visible. Anyone know how to fix this?

In stream Elements, when you do an audio output, it gives the option of default, speaker/headphone etc. Problem is, is when I use this, it broadcasts ALL audio on my laptop so I have my game audio being broadcast, media requests being broadcast, and any audio in open webpages like other stream or even my own steam broadcast. Is there a way to separate all this audio so some of it does not broadcast? For example if I want media requests and game audio to broadcast but not webpages to broadcast, is there a way to do that??

How can I test the Top Tip for a Session? I.e., I have the Top Tip text and below that the Top Tip set to Text = {name} - {currency}{amount} and the No data text set to Top Tip: No data ... the problem is that Latest Tip works updating from say 1st Tip of $10 and second Tip of $50 but the Top Tip: No data text never changes I.e., doesn't pick up 1st $10 Tip as the Top Tip nor the 2nd $50 Tip - how can I fix this to test or is this normal behaviour that can only be tested in a live environment?

I use my el gato hd60s to use my camera as a webcam. I also use a mic connected directly to the camera. The setup worked fine, SE captured my camera's video and audio. Until recently it stopped picking up my mic audio, but video is fine. No settings has changed. Any suggestions?

The docks should be locked in place if you keep logging in with your same account, if you updated your obs or logged in for the first time, it could be so that they got reset because of new settings

you can disconnect the paypal account at will, if you want to change paypal accounts down the road its best to login to StreamElements with a private browser so when you connect the new paypal account it wont auto login to your default paypal | side note double verify the email you enter when connecting paypal account

Hey, I just started using the media request today, and could use some help. I put a bunch of songs into my backup Playlist, but they are not shuffling, they are playing in order. Any reason why if I have the shuffle slider checked it would not shuffle?
Also does it or should it autoplay when I start streaming? Or is there a command to start the backup Playlist?

Sorry for jumping in @wary dew but i am wondering if @unique copper has a lappy with dual graphics I.e., NVidia AND Intel - i personally have had major issues with OBS and my Alienware 17R2 ... OBS doesn't like playing ball with NVidia and therefore I have to open the NVidia Control Panel -> select program settings -> ensure that OBS is using intergrated grphics I.e., Intel HD 4600 ... just another idea in the mix

Hello, I'm having issues with my Stream Elements wanting to connect to my Twitch which i never use, and won't connect to my FB live. Yeah the GoXLR doesn't make it easier at all. One thing I don't understand is that you have disabled desktop audio but there's a meter for it in your mixer

Question, is there any news on the OBS.live update front. Normally you guys are out, rocking an update almost the second OBS drops a new version but for 24.0.2 and now 24.0.3 it's been a no-show on the OBS.Live update, why? Can we expect some thing soon so we can use the new audio feature? For me, I've had to move away from OBS.Live on my encoder rig and have it running on an OBS instance on my gamer rig, not ideal as i can't control music and a few other things from my streamdeck. But for people not having this kind of setup they have to choose between audio routing feature or OBS.Live, or did i miss some work around on that front? If so let me know π

I am not sure what all I can say, but there are much more complex issues in the OBS 24.X update that have to be worked through in tandem on both sides. that's why it's taking longer than usual!

Alright, what might contribute to the frustration on the user side, at least it is for me, is when there is no updates on the subject at all. For me when it comes to updates from SE on major stuff like OBS.Live, it's either "ask og get no info". It's out of the norm not to drop an update when there is a new OBS, and SE knows this, why not post an update stating so instead of the dead silence and letting their users be in the unknown, that is what i don't get. (I still appreciate the hard work, don't get me wrong)

Suggestion for the overlay editor: Changing the TTS of a certain category for the Alert boxes should modify all the variations with it. Or maybe like, make it an option, bc it takes too much time to go in each variation and change volume and TTS voice 3 times per category, per overlay.

can you tell me where i set up the in-game overlay? i just switched over from the other team, i don't know my way around yet. the other team stopped caring about the little guys and took away our ability to change the header/profile pic on the tipping page when they launched "_______ sites" and now the only way to change ANYTHING is to pay $19/month

Then you probably have to uninstall OBS completely. There are some problems with the OBS.Live uninstaller and OBS v24. Your settings etc. won't get touched.

I believe for FPS you want b-frames at 1 because itβs the frame where it checks for updated rendering so 1 b-frame for fast paced games, 2 for hearthstone

Nope. Just double checked.
If I go back to whatever the resolution was ("default" for my craft cam, 1920x1080 for my face cam) then it shows as active both on my screen and the cameras (I have 2 C920s). But ones I change it, like moving my craft cam to 1920x1080, it deactivates on screen and the blue light goes away on the camera itself.
Was working fine yesterday, now not after whatever updates got rolled out. But it's probably OBS related and not the plugin

Hi, new to OBS.live. I have been currently using Streamlabs OBS and wanted to make the switch a little easier. Is there a way to import my scene collections from Streamlabs OBS into OBS.live so I don't have to set-up everything up from scratch again?

Hi. Iβve got a problem Iβve accidentally signed out of twitch on obs and it keeps asking me to setup two factor on twitch to log back in when itβs already set up I canβt log back in at all. Any suggestions?

If youβre having issues logging into twitch I would suggest verifying that you can authenticate your twitch in a web browser by going to https://twitch.tv/ and ensuring you are able to access your account there. If you cannot access your twitch account there, then you would need to speak with twitch since it would appear you are having an issue authenticating to Twitch.
If you are automatically signed into twitch when you visit via web browser I suggest signing out and attempting to sign back in @hexed basin

So in my overlay I have a video, webm file that is supposed to loop, it's a background to subs, cheers, tips etc. While in the browser it loops but in obslive it goes away after the length of the 3 second video and does not loop. Am I missing something?

My fix for this right now is just to import the webm file directly into obslive and that seems to work. Odd how it doesn't stay on screen, I'm using the same video in another scene and doesn't have an issue, just my in game scene with the top bar.

Whenever I start streaming, the stream itself becomes distorted and a bright green filter is applied, both of which I hadn't configured in the settings. However, the preview is unaffected. Anyone have any ideas as to what I could do to fix this?

So I won't get into the details of the situation but turn on Hardware Acceleration, see how that works, and if you experience different issues with that going, your options will be a little limited.

- All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
- Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. The stream elements store redemptions arent working. I mean the ones i have set in the past before previous updates still work but i cant add any new ones. I mean i can add new ones but when i attempt to redeem them on stream they say that the redeem doesnt exist. I tried everything deleting and replacing the widget box on my notification overlay, deleting excess gifs and sound clips i wasnt using and i even deleted handful of redemptions and none of that worked. I dont know what else to do but i am letting my viewers down cause i promised them that id make them all custom redemptions but because this error or glitch in the system, i cannot fulfill my promise. I would greatly appreciate it if you would look into this issue.

All of my old redemption's work fine, there is no specific one that's not working. I just can't make any new ones. If i do, which i have, when i redeem them, stream elements will tell me that it does not exist even though when you go to the stream store you can clearly see the redemption that i made that stream elemnts is claiming doesnt exist

so my obs live has been working fine until today. when i see my preview all it shows a pic unless i move my cursor on my main screen(two monitors) then it starts showing what i am doing but its very laggy. if i click on the game to start playing it doesnt show the feed only the last pic of what i was dong when i started. i didn't do a single thing to switch it. i tried turning off my computer and turning it back on but no luck. also the screen in the preview is a lot darker for some reason. Any ideas of what could be happening?

Some games do not work with game capture. If it is not working with game capture while running as an administrator, there is nothing you can do.
