I have just installed Stream Elements OBS live with the hope of trying to use kappagen on my live facebook streaming page.
1st problem; When I click on "login with Facebook" option, a window opens, a circle spins, then it minimises and closes the window that popped up, leaving me still on the obs live login screen. is it supposed to do this? am I logged in?
2nd problem.
I am trying to work out a way of importing my scene collections from OBS (not slobs) to OBS live. is this possible?

try changing the order of your layers so the game is on the bottom layer. also, sometimes if you have alt tabbed, all that will show is a black screen on some games

@long haven Please check that OBS is allowed in your firewall or try to disable the AV completely for a test. A white screen is normally an indicator for a local problem.

ok i have set my correct persistent stream key and the correct facebook server as per protocol, (this same protocol works on standard OBS)
I have reset the stream key and I have the correct one in the right option.
I have correctly titled, tagged the game and filled in all the fields, however I am unable to connect to server after clicking "connect"

- Stop your stream/recording.

if your alerts are causing lag then there could be heavy elements in it that cant be rendered fast enough, also try turning off browser hardware acceleration off in the settings menu

@floral agate Right, so when you ☑ "OBS Studio" during the installation steps OBS 21.1.2 is downloaded and installed over your existing installation (most likely the latest version). This checkbox is unchecked by default because most people already have OBS installed and thus ONLY need to have the add-on installed/updated.
This is our fault and something we are addressing very soon. To fix this install the latest version of OBS from https://obsproject.com/download 23.2.1 and the NDI plugin should return as it was before.

Frame drops have almost nothing to do with OBS itself and everything to do with your ISP and connection and the server you are streaming to
Lots of good info in that guide on how to reduce dropped frames
There's also the SLI/Crossfire capture mode which does not fit with your system specs as far as I can tell

Both MrBoost and tadpole have explaiend that anti-viruses have false positives all the time, your screenshot doesn't prove anything other than that you've had a false positive. In which case, add obs.live to the exception list or don't use it. Either way the fact remains that the issue is not with the software so there's nothing to possibly fix

maybe find a discord for your anti-virus software... I've never had mine flag obs.live but it has flagged random games before due to the extension type of some of the files. Just means it's doing its job. It should be easy to whitelist it so that it doesn't flag it anymore. If it's not easy to whitelist it, you'd need to contact the anti-virus company.

Hey, I'm trying to implement the replay widget from the #widget-share tab. Everything is working as intented, I just wonder if and how I can give the widget a different blend in/out animation than fade (changing the enter/exit animation in the streamelements editor does nothing) plus the bigger issue I have is I'm using an image as border for the replay, but it will always show in the browser source rather than just be visible with an active replay. I have already checked the shutdown source when not visible. Any idea? Thanks

- All manual host events (0 hosts included and if filter set to 0)
- All hosts coming from an online channel. If the hosting channel has been offline, we do not show it
- All auto host events with at least 1 viewer
Note: An offline host is when you see "X channel has just hosted you" - with no viewer numbers on the back

yikes.... to be completely honest, unless you dont need a vac unless you have a complex set up.
everything goes through the desktop audio mixer and things like game volume can be controlled in game and through the windows volume mixer.
discord can be set individually for people in the program itself.
hd60 im guessing is a capture card, this can be controlled in the obs mixer.
for now you would need to wait for the friend to step in when the stream ends if you really want to use the vac.

Ended up deleting the browser source repeatedly, The browser link itself worked on various browsers, but after this OBSLive update it just refused to work properly. Cache clearing, restarting OBS, my computer, and everything else..

I'm having a hard time suddenly getting and images to upload on the streamelements overlay editor. I have only used .09% of the space, but can't seem to get past the Image Cropping screen. I can move the crop area around, but when I click the blue Upload button in the bottom right, nothing is happening. Any ideas?

It's almost like the source media has lost -30db all of the sudden
it's sounds which are baked into the overlay/alert sources within StreamElements (cloud) - not my local system
They went from perfect, to super quiet, and all I did was update .live this morning when it told me to
Levels/sounds are all fine when testing in the browser window on the website.

I've seen the cache not help some times.
and removing the source actually removes the cookie of the source as well and basically can't get any more fresh then this.

The overlay links are not identical. The middle part is the overlay ID while the last part is your account ID

@green python Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:
- All manual host events (0 hosts included and if filter set to 0)
- All hosts coming from an online channel. If the hosting channel has been offline, we do not show it
- All auto host events with at least 1 viewer
Note: An offline host is when you see "X channel has just hosted you" - with no viewer numbers on the back

Make sure to ☑ “Shutdown source when not visible” for all browser sources (all OBS scenes). I logged in previously with my YouTube account without knowing that I could link it right inside my Twitch account, and now I can't import the overlays from my Twitch account because when I try to link my YouTube channel, it says that the user was already claimed. Same in the inverse. What's this?
Also I don't find an option to completely delete the YouTube user from Streamelements

I've got a really annoying issue with OBS atm. When I select my window capture to the appropriate game, the preview will update, then immediately freeze on that frame. I can move the cursor, I can hear the audio, but the video will not update. I have reduced my bitrate and FPS down to the lowest settings and that doesn't fix the issue. I used to stream perfectly fine at 60FPS 6k bitrate so I know it's possible on this machine. OBS did prompt for an update recently, but it didn't solve the problem. Anybody have a similar issue?

i keep dropping an enormous amount of frames ive checked all my settings ive updated all software ive contacts my ISP ive checked to see if theres programs running in the background. and nothing seems to work i drop 30K frames per minute the instant that i start my stream and idk what else to do..if someone can please help me id appreciate it so much.
