Just to make sure, login to the SE Dashboard.
Then, on OBS.Live, click on "Streamelements" tab on the menu on top, click "Logout", close OBS.Live, open it as admin, login again. This should fix teh reconnect thing.

I don't have a c920 on hand, but open properties of the cam source, and then click on "Configure Video" or somewhere you can control its resolution.
From the video I posted - adjust these 2 settings
So when you find the perfect resolution settings, you can fit the cam in the overlay box, by dragging the cam around

How come when I record my games form obs live, it does not save them in a file I can open up a video? It’s saves it in like a .flv file that opens up a video-to-photo app on my computer and won’t play through a video player. Since that happens, I cannot upload videos or make clips from then

But I wouldn't record directly to MP4, MOV etc.
FLV or MKV is the way to go. If you record to MP4 and the recording is interrupted, the file will be corrupted and unrecoverable.

Then try to reload the cache of the browser source. Double alerts should not happen. Did you by any chance add a second alertbox somewhere and clicked the eye button in the overlay editor to hide it? Because sounds will not be muted by that.

SLOBS is a hard fork of OBS Studio with support from SL
We on the other hand only provide OBS.Live as a plugin for OBS Studio
And SL is our competitor and vise versa 😃
in short - You can't add OBS.Live plugin on top of SLOBS.

OBS is still open, and because its open source we just made a plugin for it, while SL made their own fork.

Had a friend come by and ask for stream setup help. I had to stumble around in his SL-OBS (didn't know he was using that) to find what i needed. Had it been regular OBS Studio, would have been 3 clicks for me lol.

Does anyone have a mic issues when using the OBS. Live plugin? I normally have voicemeeter banana running all my audio to keep discord muted and such but when I switched from slobs 2 OBS studio and installed the OBS live plugin my audio quality became terrible and eventually just stopped capturing. it would still show that the mic was being picked up with all of my other audio in OBS but for some reason when I recorded and played it back I had no audio in the video.

That sounds like your Audio setup in OBS is faulty, since the live plugin is just that, a plugin. It doesnt change anything in the Audio settings. Maybe your fresh install changed something.

never had that issue, never heard of that issue. Nobody has said anything like that in the comments of my video on OBSlive either. Something in your configuration got borked. Voicemeeter is incredibly fussy, so it doesn't surprise me.

SLOBS is known to block some of our widgets, but if you are only adding the chat widget from us via an overlay, make sure that overlay's resolution is set to 1920x1080.

Whenever someone follows, subs, cheers etc (all alerts) All of the alert sounds from my overlays play one after another. For example, I have a scream as an alert for when I play scary games but it still plays on my normal overlay even though I haven't added it in my sources for that specific game. It would appear that you are overloading your GPU, and that you are also using an older version of OBS Studio. I would recommend upgrading to the latest version, and as for the game lagging, your only option would be to lower ingame settings. You could also change the downscale filter from Lanczos to bicubic. You are using Nvenc for the encoding, so literally everything is being done on your GPU, and it simply cant keep up with the work load. As far as sound buzzes, you will need to provide more details on exactly what you are experiencing with that before we could think of where to start with troubleshooting that.

for now I've found temporary solution by just muting SE obs or OBS. Live and have used my browsers sound to play the sound effect since its not playing 2x and only once.

I'm not sure if SLOBS stores their scenes/sources in the same location as OBS Studio does.
You can just install OBS.Live and see if it loads your scenes+sources. If it does then you are fine. When removing SLOBS, make sure to not delete profile data. @finite wedge

OBS is not able to connect to your audio devices. First step would be to run OBS as Administrator. If that does not resolve the issue, you need to close OBS, then go into each audio device, and check what the exclusive mode is set to. If this is checked, try disabling it, applying it, then running OBS as admin again.

and you can remove the "yeti" source because your mic is already set in Settings > Audio. Never add an audio device manually in the sources list unless you know what you're doing. But note that you have to reapply your filters on the mic.
I'd bet you muted the Mic/Aux strip in the mixer because your voice echoed. Now you know why.

The plugin does not touch anything related to the connection to the Twitch server, we only use the OBS Browser to add the extra widgets

jep and OBS itself doesn't alter the connection either. So it's likely that there's something wrong with your internet or twitch. I wanna mention though that some streamers here in Germany had massive problems with Twitch today.

Media Request is the next major feature being worked on for OBS.Live, for the sound, you can make a stream store item and make it redeemable via chat, you can also make a custom command with the ${redeem} variable, so you can use stuff like keywords

I can give you an OBS guide to take a look at. If this won't help then you would have to ask your ISP since framedrops from twitchs side are very unlikely.

right. Didn't even check that. You probably have to because for some servers your speed drops to about 6k. If you should get those 30k upload then your speed is probably okay but the quality of your connections isn't.

Never experienced such a bottleneck myself. I even tested an 8k bitrate on another account. I couldn't go higher because twitch blocked it but with 8k it was running 10/10.

twitch allows you to change your username once every.. 30 days? i think. You don't lose data changing names. you just have to resync stuff such as StreamElements you would need to log out of our site and back in to detect the name change

I've managed to set up my overlays on OBS, and managed to make my overlays from StreamElements show up, but for some reason, my camera feed doesn't appear in the overlay. What am I doing wrong?

You will need to add a video capture to OBS to capture your webcam.

@warped forge the red box is just the border of the webcam source. You can move the webcam and resize it as well via those red lines.

- Go to Stream Store page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/store/items
- Add an item that has these settings on it:
- Stream Perk
- Loyalty settings to your desire
- (Next step) Add contents (image and sound you want to play)
- "Redeeming this item shows an alert
- Redemable via chat
- Skip Requirements
- Get the item name/command from the 2nd creation page
- Go to commands page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/commands/custom
- Add command with desired name and have response for command as: ${redeem item_name_here}
- Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.
- Click on "widgets" and add "Store redemptions" widget. Click save and you should be golden.
- Test your own command in chat and have OBS or editor open to hear sound
- ???
- Profit in viewer interaction and that dosh

Kia ora friends. Looking for some sound help, probably the wrong place to ask but i've watched like 400 videos on how to do it and nobody says how, just that you can. I have an external mixer, i want to people able to control separate stream sounds with said mixer. For example, one channel for my music, another for game sounds. I have it set for speakers, but i dont use those when im live. Mixert doesn't control those levels through my obs, just to my headset.

When im just using my speakers and not streaming, I can turn spotify up and down separately from my browser sounds. Super handy. But it doesn't affect anything when I'm streaming, I still have to click out of the game and change it directly in obs.
