Hi, I am streaming to twitch and YouTube through restream, all of the notifications for twitch work with my alert box, but nothing comes through for YouTube. I am aware of people having privacy settings on in YouTube but I have tried it also with my partners YouTube account and it still doesn’t work. Can anyone help with this?

If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have SE.Live installed, please follow these steps:

Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of SE.Live
Exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
Delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
Start SE.Live
Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Connect

Loyalty system was not implemented into YouTube for some technical reasons, so this is likely not happening anytime soon.

And the approval for the tip alerts if used with moderation settings - this is done on the site, can be done by mods. Streamdeck or other tools do not have this option yet.

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

This is also not possible. There is a manual way to turn off the timers while a premiere is active and then turn them back on.

The timers have the "offline" setting which should prevent the timer from being posted when the stream is not live - but i'm not 100% sure how that would work with Premieres

Currently there is a known issue with going Live with SE.Live. Devs are aware of the issue.
The workaround for this is, to click on the "Live Video Settings" button in the chat dock and use the 2nd option from the pop up "Use these settings" to go live

Hello, I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I could not find an answer. I checked the pinned messages as well. I linked my YouTube channel to StreamElements. But my streamelements shows that everything is "zero". Such as, zero subscribers, etc. I'm confident that not all of my subscribers have their subscription on private. Thank you for the reply. Actually, I linked my YouTube to StreamElements about 1 month ago and it still does not show anything. When I click my StreamElements page, it doesn't even show any of my YouTube channel items. Also, I noticed that it doesn't even have my YouTube's email address on it. for youtube the profile page is only visible when you're live but you should already be seeing some data so lets try this

Make sure your stream is public. The bot cannot join a private/unlisted stream.
Your stream must be live for the bot to join the chat.
Go to https://studio.youtube.com/, click on Settings > Community and add https://youtube.com/c/streamelements or https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjerlCIbLPQwSnYlClkjDXg as a Moderator.
When live, be sure to look at Live chat instead of Top chat, as Top chat will hide the bot messages.

After the outage, the chat and activity feeds in OBS aren't logged in/live. Recommended fix? EDIT: Fixed. Found a logout option, logged out and back in and all is good!

Are you trying to add a browser source for your scene or add a browser source for your dock? If you're doing it for your Dock, SE.Live gives you a built in dock option for your activity feed.

Sorry, I am trying to add it as a dock. I can't actually use S.E Live as the current build freezes/crashes my computer. This is why I'm trying to add the activity feed manually

SE.Live doesn't really interfere with program features like that, but we can try and troubleshoot. Is Hardware Acceleration enabled?

Please note that the deletion process is not automatic, but instead submits a request to the developers to delete the account on your behalf. Mercury dynamic thumbnail isn't working. First it deleted my thumbnail, now it's just not adding the dynamic text, and it's been over an hour. Tried going in and setting again, repositioning for it to notice there's a new thumbnail, but it's just not working....

Hey everyone! Not sure who exactly to @ about this or if I'm even in the right channel, but I tried setting up SE bot for my YT streams, added it as a moderator and tried using commands during streams that were publicly listed and none of the timers nor commands work. I'm trying to figure out if maybe i missed a step somewhere or see if maybe the bot just isnt compatible with Youtube streams.

Hello guys, new here!

I got one problem: YouTube Alerts . . . . so I did a 3 hour+ live stream on YouTube yesterday and I went from 47 to 49 subs, but the most recent two didn't get picked up for some reason. I was checking a few videos online and I saw some people who had more control over there alert box widget because it had a whole dashboard, but my alertbox is integrated into the other scene dashboards itself. It's not a whole separate panel like some overlays are setup.

I don't get the notification for new subs and also stream elements is not showing any stream activity on the dashboard when I just streamed last night/morning, is there a delay in the time it takes to show up? Color me curious just thunking, using the Blue Flare Super Theme.

Hey guys! I got a bit of a pickle, if you can help. I stream on Youtube a lot and use StreamElements overlays. I'm running a pretty minimal custom one that only pops up to play animations for donations/member join alerts. About a month or so ago, everything was fine. However recently, the animations have been choppy, or not even playing at all. However, the text from each alert is just fine (enter/outro animations for text, all that). So a lot of the time I'll get just the text, or text and maybe like 5 frames of the animations, and they'll get stuck until the alert is over. I've shaved down the video files to less than 2MB for each. The real kicker is when I run example animations in the Overlay editor, they play just fine in OBS. They only seem to run down when I'm streaming. And even then, the degree to how much they lag out seems to change with each one. Any ideas or advice?

As far as I can tell, there is no way to test the chat box on youtube when the stream is unlisted is this correct? Meaning, I won't be able to see what my chat box actually looks like until I have a public stream? (if possible I would prefer not to be testing the overlay on a public stream)

Do you or perhaps does anyone else know what size I should make the window in OBS and in Stremelements? The actual size of the browser source for the chat box in my OBS scene is quite small, but I have seen videos that say to start at fullscreen in SE (1080p in this case) and just resize the browser source in the OBS scene. That's really my only concern before I go live with that overlay is the scaling/size

No. What I mean is that the data on my overlay only shows my Twitch stats. Youtube account actually has the activity/stats. It's just not showing on the overlay if that makes sense.

Okay, that's what I was wondering as we were talking this through. Next question and I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is there a way to have Youtube data AND Twitch data on the same overlay? For example, latest follower and latest Youtube subscriber?

You would need one browser source with your alertbox/overlay from twitch and another with your alerbox/overaly from YouTube

Right, which I do have. But, for example in the overlay in the screenshot, it says subscribers, but those are Twitch subs. I don't have Twitch subs(not an affiliate) so I would like this box to show the latest Youtube sub. Would I be able to do that with another browser source added?

Okay so it starts to get really complicated from here.

Essentially, you'll be trying to display two overlays at once. You would have to choose which potion of the overlay is being displayed (holding Alt and adjusting the red outline until it shows what you want.) It isn't ideal and limits what is available to be displayed (basically carving out the area). it's not impossible but if there is a will there is a way

That's basically what I got. Kind of sucks tho because a lot of that info doesn't need to be repeated twice, but it sounds like it would have to be otherwise I would have an overlay with almost nothing on it, but what I wanted that isn't already displayed. Hi, so I've been a complete fool and didn't realise that just logging into SE with my Youtube would count as a different "Account" to my Twitch-logged "one" (the actual way to link them having being tucked inside a profile menu on the "main" account, I didn't know about said menu)

Did some forum digging and apparently the way to fix that is to hit up SE on here, but I didn't want to bother them with an out of the blue DM or something - can anyone advise the way one's supposed to go about getting their attention? I don't really understand Discord like, at all.

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and fill out the form here: https://streamelements.com/contact with each token correctly labelled

Well, 2 weeks later and my YouTube subscriber counter STILL isn't working. It has been stuck on 1020 for ages! I know someone will say its just the way it is....But i dont see how that could be as VidiQ is able to get my accurate subscriber count to the second! There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Just did my first test stream now that I switch streaming to YouTube and I'm having major problems. None of my alerts, overlays (only regarding SE), and commands are working. I was able to go live via SE.Live perfectly fine. Connected my stream key and everything. I don't remember connecting the bot to my channel but it seems to be connect as the option for departing/removing it appears as well as StreamElements being a moderator on the channel (which I'm sure I didn't do manually), what do I do?

To set up the bot for your YouTube stream, please follow these steps:

Make sure your stream is public. The bot cannot join a private/unlisted stream.
Your stream must be live for the bot to join the chat.

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Quick question - I'm all setup with SE.live and OBS - but the "Start Streaming" button isn't behaving. Normally when I start a stream, it pops up with a message to select a stream config, and i select the stream that was already scheduled. Right now, it's only showing the "Start Streaming to YouTube" dialog needing me to enter in a bunch of info. I've already entered all of that info into YT - any ideas why it's not starting like normal? I've already tried logging out and back in to SE.live

Currently there is a known issue with going Live with SE.Live. Devs are aware of the issue.
The workaround for this is, to click on the "Live Video Settings" button in the chat dock and use the 2nd option from the pop up "Use these settings" to go live.

edit nevermind - a better workaround is to "go live with youtube dashboard settings", which pops up a youtube tab in your browser, then switch your stream via youtube live dashboard, then press Go Live on youtube.

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If when you click the icon in the top right and it shows your twitch account and your youtube you're all set. All you need to do is click the three dots on the overlay you wish to copy. Click Duplicate and transfer it over to the account

I'm not too sure if this is normal YouTube issue, an SE.Live issue, or a vanilla OBS issue. I have no clue so I hope this is the right channel.
In my most previous livestream on YouTube, a pretty sizable (about 10 minutes or so) worth of content was removed from the VOD. During the stream itself no issues arise from the YouTube stream dashboard, from the SE.Live status thingy at the bottom, and my internet never went out let alone went down any bars. I have no idea how this fix and was wondering if you guys had any tips or experienced this. Pretty big issue considering my intro and me getting into the game is all gone. The VOD on my channel literally starts off with me talking mid-sentence like a crazy person mid-game.

To reset goals:

from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Hello. My youtube channels keep getting terminated. Is it possible (and permitted) to set up a youtube channel, get 100 subs, sign up to streamelements and then collect donations while streaming on Odysee (with the donation alert appearing)?

Luckily this time I knew to withdraw my funds immediately after I got my channel terminated. The first time my YT channel got terminated I had no idea that the Streamelements account just automatically disappears as well within 24 hours (along with any funds you had) and you can no longer log into it.

Hello, i have problem with my streamelements alerts. I stream trough OBS studio on Youtube. I created my overlays using streamelements but only one think work when i am live and it is chat. Alerts doesnt work, subscriber count doesnt work. Everithing else looks ok, when a emulate some alert it shows in OBS normally, but when i am live, nothing show when someone subscribe. Only chat works fine. Is there some solution for me? Thank you very much

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and fill out the form here: https://streamelements.com/contact with each token correctly labelled

To set up the bot for your YouTube stream, please follow these steps:

Make sure your stream is public. The bot cannot join a private/unlisted stream.
Your stream must be live for the bot to join the chat.
Go to https://studio.youtube.com/, click on Settings > Community and add https://youtube.com/c/streamelements or https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjerlCIbLPQwSnYlClkjDXg as a Moderator.
When live, be sure to look at Live chat instead of Top chat, as Top chat will hide the bot messages.

From the looks of it, the widget is out of bounds. Make sure that you add the browser source in OBS set to the same resolution you set for the overlay.

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

Your stream must be live for the bot to join the chat.
Go to https://studio.youtube.com/, click on Settings > Community and add https://youtube.com/c/streamelements or https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjerlCIbLPQwSnYlClkjDXg as a Moderator.
When live, be sure to look at Live chat instead of Top chat, as Top chat will hide the bot messages.

I've been streaming on YT for a while using OBS and have all but given up. Anyone know a fix for my alerts to work on YT. I can manually trigger them on the dashboard I can replay them and they work off the activity feed (once it loads the new subscriber even that can take over a day to happen) but I've given up streaming with alerts. thank you in advance.

I'm gonna try this again. THE URL is wrong it's the original URL when I first made the channel but now it's changed to yt/dorwulf1 but there's NO WAY to modify even if I meet the qualifications it says I don't because the URL says the wrong channel now.

Hello! I stream on YouTube with OBS.live and I always have a stream delay of about 15 seconds even in ultra-low latency and even if I choose the low-latency option in OBS quality setting (I don't use this, but I tested with it and noticed zero change in my delay). Can anyone give me any tips on lowering stream latency? I'm seeing other streamers with around 4 seconds of latency and I can't figure it out lol

I accidentally linked my youtube account to a seperate streamelements account, not realising you could link both twitch and youtube on the same account

is there a way to merge the accounts so i can have my youtube linkd to the my aleady existing one i use for twitch

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and fill out the form here: https://streamelements.com/contact with each token correctly labelled

Is there a "Viewer Count" widget for youtube when streaming? Either don't see it or there isn't one. Any plans on adding one? All I see is a "Sub Counter" widget.

There is no viewer counter for YT live. Not as a widget and not even in SE.Live in the activity feed (while Twitch has one for example). You need to check the YT livestream dashboard for the accurate viewer counter.

There might be a custom widget that can display it, but i have not encountered one yet. YT custom widgets are less popular than Twitch so the selection is limited.

Click on Show Secrets - that reveals the token. Copy and paste it into the form, do not post it in public - this is an access token.

Well YouTube is limited in a few ways compared to Twitch so certain common features do not exist or do not work as you expect them to work. Tried a stream on YT myself yesterday.. Let's say i wanted to punch my monitor NotLikeDuck

Once you learn to live with the limitations of YouTube it could be fine, the platform itself is OK. Just a few things make you want to jump out the window because they are designed backwards.
