Hey i normaly stream on Twitch but probably gonna stream some on YouTube also but my accounts on streamelements are not merged so i have one for twitch and one for YouTube. can i somehow remove the youtube streamelements account and then merge them together? if not can i somehow share my template between them even if they are different accounts?

@hallow gust Account Merging - Please note:

Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member.

Private: When a users subscriptions are set to private, no other user can see what channels they subscribe to. A user's account does not show in a channel's Subscribers List, even if they are subscribed.
Public: When users subscriptions are set to public, another user can see what channels they subscribe to. User subscriptions are listed on their channel page, and their account is listed in the Subscribers List for any channel they subscribe to.

Hello! I have merged YT account to my main Twitch profile. I wanted to unmerge this and merge another YT account... I saw "security" tab and i wanted to close this old YT acc to merge new one. And i can't because there isn't email which is requested to close account. Unfortunately i created new streamelements acc with my YT account, that i wanted to merge... And the same.... i can't unlink, because there is't email.. what can i do?

@marsh chasm There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security
WARNING: In submitting a closure request you will delete both linked accounts and loose all data from both accounts. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data(tips, subs, etc). You can still relogin with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Hi. I am trying to set up overlays for my son. He has a 2550x1440 screen and I have added that resolution when importing the overlay. But the overlay is not full screen. Buttons that should be in the buttom of the screen is located 2/3 down etc. Can anyone help me on my way?

@uneven cosmos The default resolution for StreamElements overlays (theme and custom) is 1920x1080. Please add them in OBS at their full resolution and use CTRL+F to fit to screen if necessary. You can then downscale your stream in OBS settings > Video if you'd like https://i.imgur.com/6bWXxjR.png

I allowed streamelements access to my YouTube channel I started streaming but no imformation is going to streamelements dashboard. I never got the notification of all the new subscriber nor any traffic was recorded in the dasboard. I tried taking off streamelements from google access and got it back and still did not work.

I found an Overlay Issue on the Youtube side, if you click Create and give the overlay a Name from The Super Themes in the Overlay Gallery, some scenes will be duplicated

Make sure your stream is public. The bot cannot join a private/unlisted stream.
Your stream must be live for the bot to join the chat.

When live, be sure to look at Live chat instead of Top chat, as Top chat will hide the bot messages.

Is there any known issues at the moment? For some reason Streamelements doesn't appear to be detecting that the channel we use it on is live (Have tried parting/unparting in the Dashboard, however still says the channel is offline)

Sometimes it taked 5 to 30 minutes for Youtube to notify us that you went Live. Nothing we can do about that

It is a public stream, started 75 minutes ago, maybe something is up with the Youtube API as our discord bot (Couchbot) didn't detect the live either, but is there when you view the channel.

@light swan There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security
WARNING: In submitting a closure request you will delete both linked accounts and loose all data from both accounts. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data(tips, subs, etc). You can still relogin with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member.

@crimson reef There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security
WARNING: In submitting a closure request you will delete both linked accounts and loose all data from both accounts. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data(tips, subs, etc). You can still relogin with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

In the old OBS you never had to ad an overlay, I think. I just hit capture and cursor to capture the gameplay. However, no haven't added an overlay per say.

Greetings! I'm having a little issue if I could call it one. So basicly on a livestream I've done yesterday someone seemed to have "manipulated" my subcount since Youtube only says I have got 508 subscribers but StreamElements says I have 530. Youtube didn't even update it's subcount to the one SE shows so something must be wrong.

from the overlay editor -> data on top -> goal tab -> reset progress of desired goal
from the dashboard -> activity feed on the left -> widget data on the right -> goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal
Note: Goal widgets(progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you loose followers/subs

I'm familiar with StreamElements for twitch/mixer, with the amazing chat bot, alerts/overlays, donation system, etc. I am NOT familiar with it for YouTube/YouTube Live. Are all of these features supported, or just some?

Unrelated, I had a SE twitch account and just also added my youtube channel, but the email field is blank when I look at my dashboard/account/channels page

Shouldn't the google/gmail account associated with the youtube channel be linked in that YT channel field in SE?

When I went to streamelements main webpage, and clicked login with youtube, I clicked my youtube channel name first, not the youtube account/gmail address first. maybe the order I did it matters?

The SE youtube setup guide from 2 years ago (by bbxh) says click the youtube account, then you'll be prompted to repeat this process and select youtube channel. So maybe I made a big mistake @tardy cloud

on my twitch profile (which I can also switch to while logged in), I can go to Tipping Settings and see my page linked to paypal is streamelements . com / myusername/tip; I just did the same setup with same paypal account on my youtube channel profile, and the page is streamelements .com / myusername-7913/tip

maybe the backend database has trouble linking the same tipping page to multiple profiles, so it randomly generated a new username with the 4 numbers..

I know this complicates things, but is there a way to completely delete the entire StreamElements history of 'me', and start from scratch with YouTube Only? and if I don't stick with StreamElements, just start from scratch again with Twitch?

My personal preference is to have clean URLs and simple view of everything, and this will trouble me forever haha. I would rather nuke it all and start from scratch, multiple times if needed.

@obsidian owl There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security
WARNING: In submitting a closure request you will delete both linked accounts and loose all data from both accounts. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data(tips, subs, etc). You can still relogin with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

My issue: I am trying to edit a block of text in the overlay editor. Say for example this is the twitter section where it has the animated twitter logo, the name 'twitter' and my twitter account itself. When I try to change the font on the text, the editor changes the font correctly. I click save, and on my OBS, it does not change at all. It remains to be a 'times new roman' looking font. I have tried typing different words onto it. The words change, but the font does not. Hope this was easy to understand.

I started my first test stream to YouTube (live) and using the "Live Video Settings" button I was able to set my video title and description before going live. However, on another device I went to check the quality of my stream within the live studio view, and noticed an option about setting whether the video was made for kids or not, and that I HAVE to answer this. I don't recall this setting within OBS/OBS.Live, so I'm a bit concerned. Do I ever need to enter YouTube Studio website to setup a stream before I go live, or can I do <EVERYTHING> within OBS with the SE plugin?

I'm sorry for the various images, but as you can see, I log in with my games page, however when the chat appears, it is with the image of my personal account.

I've been using SE with OBS.Live to stream to twitch for about a year, and I'm going to start doing some YT streams just before my twitch streams to try to get some engagement with that audience. Are there some best practices for OBS / SE to make it really easy to switch between streaming on Twitch vs YT so I have minimal downtime between streams?

you guys have good experience with the streamelements bot? I had tried it with an !uptime command (it's a default) while I was LIVE on youtube (literally watching from another device), and the !uptime command would tell myself and viewers that I was offline for X hours, instead of live for 25 minutes. Did I screw something up?

@vapid wolf ugh you still need to shutdown the stream and change stream keys at minimum so most likely there isnt an easy way in general

guys but because when registering an apersona to my youtube channel, I have already set everything up with streamelements when registering, it comes out thanks for the subscription even though I have modified it in member event. and in the dashboard of stram elements I get out like a guy subscribed to the channel but instead he signed up as I solve?

It’s upsetting that my experience with mixer and twitch with SE have been flawless and after setting up for YouTube live streaming, all of my loaded overlays for alerts and labels are showing on screen but not reflecting any events. My brother just subscribed and we didn’t see any alert trigger at all and none of the overlay labels in the browser source updated

@obsidian owl Users can choose to make the channels that they subscribe to public or private. By default, all settings are set to private.

Private: When a users subscriptions are set to private, no other user can see what channels they subscribe to. A user's account does not show in a channel's Subscribers List, even if they are subscribed.

Public: When users subscriptions are set to public, another user can see what channels they subscribe to. User subscriptions are listed on their channel page, and their account is listed in the Subscribers List for any channel they subscribe to.
