We did have an issue with our YouTube channel getting erroneously suspended, which might have messed with things. Logging out and back in to StreamElements should ensure the connection is refreshed.

Consoles don't have the functionality to support overlays on their own. You must use a capture card or remote play and stream from your PC.

Because on top of your specs and the game you're playing and your game's graphics settings you also have to contend with background programs you have running, browser consumption if you've got a browser running, which changes based on extensions installed, there's too much to consider to just throw a recommendation when someone says only their CPU and graphics card.

You said "done" after the bot for adding the Overlay with Alerts to your OBS.

As when you go Live & stream & if someone subscribes to you: The alert will show on stream.

The bot will join your channel just after you got live and will stay in your channel while you are live. So when you are offline, the commands don't give a feedback.

YouTube and twitch have different service, encoding and platform designs.

Settings for twitch can give you clear quality,
Those same setting on YouTube can have a blurry or out of focus look.

Twitch is built for streaming while YouTube is built for videos

@heavy condor Make sure the bot is added via the daboard to your chat and it is modded. After you went publicly live it might take a few minutes to detect that you are live and the bot will join your channel.

Thanks. I've been streaming with regular OBS for a while now and recently installed the OBS Live plug-in. I noticed the three new windows that pop up in the OBS screen, the Activity Feed, Chat and Media Request windows...but they're automatically linked to my Twitch and I no longer stream to Twitch and only stream to YouTube. The default resolution for StreamElements overlays (theme and custom) is 1920x1080. Please add them in OBS at their full resolution and use CTRL+F to fit to screen if necessary. You can then downscale your stream in OBS settings > Video if you'd like https://i.imgur.com/6bWXxjR.png

Bot should join your stream few minutes after you start stream. YouTube limitations and their live notifications are the factor behind that delay. Sometimes bot (along with viewers) get notification highly delayed.

So on YouTube I have not changed my name. But the name of my Google Account. Whether that has any influence on it I do not know. I created the StreamElement account after the name change.

That shouldn't matter, as it uses your YouTube username (not just what you had when you signed up to us), so if YouTube considers your username to be something else, that will be why it's saying invalid

You basically need to enter what else it could be for that account, such as an older name you used for it

Hey guys. I just duplicated Twitch alerts over to my YouTube and FB channels. When I go to the YouTube side and attempt to edit the alert, it's showing me the FB options instead of the YouTube ones. Is this normal?

Cause normally the merging of accounts does not make you share overlays between these accounts, as they are still separate accounts. Best to recreate the alert box.

console does not support overlay. you can have the bot in your yt channel but would need something like a phone/pc/laptop to control it
