Asking for the 3rd time,
Custom bot name stopped working all of sudden working this week, tried to fix it for the past 2 days but still doesn't work.
Still tells me I have to sign in and connect to my bot account on Twitch every single time, have also tried disconnecting and connecting on bot twitch account but nothing.
Are there any fixes for this issue? or is this just a discord server where everyone lists their issues but nothing gets answered properly

Thus really isn't an issue with Twitch or the Twitch side itself but there is no just "StreamElements" section. I used to get emails after my streams that gave me a brief synopsis of the stream, estimate revenue from that stream, amount of viewers, etc. However as of late I have not seen any of these emails, was this something I accidentally disabled or was this feature removed?

Good day/evening to all, I wonder if someone could steer me in the right direction for something I have been trying to sort for some time now?>

problem is A= people using !sr feature only works randomly 1 minute it works then it dosen't?
At times there request isn't showing in que list either?..
B= There request gets automatically skipped and reverts me back onto my back up playlist which is very weird.

I have everything set up correctly as the set up guide shows and just really frustrated as constantly having to explain/apologise to viewers in return which can be a headache I am sure you will understand... any help would be fantastic to route out the problems I am experiencing thank you kindly!!..

In your OBS, go to the stream tab, and under "twitch chat add-ons" select "BetterTTV and "FrankerFaceZ".
After this, go to your twitch channel and select the settings cog in your chat. In your preferences, you should see a "FrakerFaceZ Control Center" option and select it, you should be able to find a "7TV Emotes" add-on, and enable it. From there, you should just need to refresh your OBS! Sorry, I misunderstood the first time 🙂

Hello!

Pardon me if I am not in the correct channel.

I have been recording green screens of fortnite models performing emotes that I would like to use as my twitch alerts. Yesterday, I tried for hours to make one of my ideas come to life, but I then realized that because of the format constraint (webm or GIF) and the file size constraint (30MB) in the alerts -> video options, it was not going to work first try.

My idea was to have a full screen alert video with multiple models crossing the screen in the span of about 6 seconds, either with no background or with a green background (I can output both).

I tried to work around these limitations but without success, because compressing the video would never be enough to go under 30MB without ruining the quality, and background-less versions are even heavier.

Thus I am wondering: could I call the video files in OBS using Streamelements and the alerts as a trigger? Or, can I use a link as an alert video source instead of uploading it to Streamelements? Or, anything else you can think of?

If my problem is not clear, I will be happy to provide answers, as I realize this might be a bit confusing.

Steps:

  1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
  2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
  3. Click on Enable Custom Font
  4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

I don't think you can block names from donating, however there are settings to help protect and moderate your donations. In your Tipping Settings you can setup moderation, and under the "SE.Pay" section, there are some additional tools for advanced protection. SE does use a list of users known for chargebacks to help protect you as well., so you don't have to worry about wrongful or malicious chargebacks - which this list permanently bans users from dono'ing. 🙂

if there isn't away to do so currently can I suggest for future updates that there is away to ban usernames from donating similar to the filtered words where you could just type there username in and they wouldn't be able to send a donation to streamers to avoid stalkers and the likes from being able to donate even with a tip approval.

I noticed in the setting of the Vid on Command widget that you can choose who can start the video. Streamer, Mods, and Vips are available. Underneath is a section for "additional users". Am I able to say something like "Subscribers" or is it asking for user names individually?

I have a question about modifying command permissions through twitch chat. I know how to add, edit, remove, and make them moderator only, but is there a way to make them not visible to people when they type !commands in the streamer's chat, or is that just an option on the dashboard? There was something on reddit that I saw that said something about !cmd view, but it didn't say how to use it.

If your custom alert images and sounds aren't showing when you emulate alerts in the overlay editor, check the variations for those alerts. If those aren't changed, they will play the default images and sounds over your custom ones.

A= people using !sr feature only works randomly.. 1 minute it works then it dosen't?
At times there request isn't even showing in que list either?..

B= There request gets automatically skipped and reverts me back onto my back up playlist which is very weird.

I have everything set up correctly as the set up guide shows and just really frustrated as constantly having to explain/apologise to viewers in return which can be a headache I am sure you will understand... any help would be fantastic to route out the problems I am experiencing thank you kindly!!..

Hey, can someone help answer a question for me. I just started streaming today but before I did when I connected Streamelements to Twitch it was a differen't channel name so that is what my Streamelements shows rather than my new name. Hi, I have a question about my twitch stream preview. When I have the transmission on, I am not able to run the browser because the RAM does not allow it. Usually i have OBS and some game on. Therefore, in order to have some preview of the transmission - I will try to start it on the phone, but it does not want to load. Do you know why this is happening? I typically update and add commands in the back office on StreamElements so that it doesn't show up on stream for the streamers I sword for, however, just recently I got this message pop up and my streamer has no idea why or when this started to happen. Hello. I decided to add a fee to the !transfer command, but the only option available in the website is to set a fixed amount. I wanted to be able to take a percentage of the value instead, because 50 or 100 points is gonna be too much for a person transferring a low amount, but like nothing to someone transferring thousands of points. Hey i have a problem with songrequests, the commands user level is set to everyone but when someone who is not a moderator tries to use it the response is, that it is put in the open queue. The song does not appear in the queue and that is also not the right response, cause there is already something in the queue. 2) Click on **Stream Settings** > **Custom bot name**

Hi, similarly to some of the other posts above, I too am currently having an issue with my Dislyte sponsorship. It's going really well, however my first stream has not been tracked by the campaign and I'm not sure what to do. I've 4 days remaining but this particular campaign requires me to take a 24 hour break in between; which will consume more time. Hey there, so I have been slowly setting up stream element widgets on my OBS and at first it was working fine! I had setup the alerts (follows, raids, subs) to how I wished they look and would appear on OBS when I emulated them. However when I added a follower goal, latest follower and sub, and a live chat widget they did not appear on OBS. I did save, copy link and try to enter it onto the browser source but to no avail and none of my alerts would show up anymore either. I went back to when I only had the alerts and it worked just fine so it has to be a problem with the other widgets I added. I attempted to go to advanced settings and turning off the option in the source section and restart and that did not work either. Would love some assistance.

Keep in mind none of them were popping up in the OBS studio when I first placed them either only the alerts would appear when emulated.

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

How do you swap between your main channel and your managed channels with the newer SE UI? Every tutorial video I find is outdated and shows an old UI with a channel dropdown box to easily swap between managed channels, but this is no longer at the top of the profile dashboard. Heyah, kinda wrong Channel, but dunno where else to ask.
Quite some few streamers are getting their paypal account banned.
I just created a new business one, to set up a tipping page. Before I did ANYTHING (not even have my mail verified) I connected my account two Streamelements, and got two mails:

  1. Please verify your E-Mail
  2. Your account is getting closed because of violation of the terms
    I did nothing with the account. How could I? It is not even verified. Only linked to streamelements.
    With other streamer getting banned, too... might there be a problem or connection to StreamElements?...

Generally, the default commands can't be changed and post in chat. The custom ones are the ones that will give you more control over where it's posted

Hey there, are you wanting the text to slowly slide in from the bottom and roll up and disappear at the top but give people enough time to read it as it does so? If so, I would recommend going into the settings of the Raid alert and playing around with the animation settings, specifically the duration for the "text animation settings" to allow it to slow down when coming up on screen.

So as far as I can tell, there isn't a way to pause the text in the middle, but you can up the seconds here:

This will allow the animations of the entrance and exit to slow down to allow the text to come in a bit slower to allow people time to read it. I tried 25 seconds and it seemed to work well, but will leave it up to your preference.

Hey there, so I have been slowly setting up stream element widgets on my OBS and at first it was working fine! I had setup the alerts (follows, raids, subs) to how I wished they look and would appear on OBS when I emulated them. However when I added a follower goal, latest follower and sub, and a live chat widget they did not appear on OBS. I did save, copy link and try to enter it onto the browser source but to no avail and none of my alerts would show up anymore either. I went back to when I only had the alerts and it worked just fine so it has to be a problem with the other widgets I added. I attempted to go to advanced settings and turning off the option in the source section and restart and that did not work either. Would love some assistance.

Keep in mind none of them were popping up in the OBS studio when I first placed them either only the alerts would appear when emulated. Would appreciate some support as I feel this is easily resolved.

Since the animation chosen is slide in up, it will automatically slide in and up. You'll want to try other animations that just say things like roll in for example for it to stay there until it does the subsequent exit animation. We only have the ones available in the editor, but you can always provide feedback to our ideas page here: https://strms.net/ideas for any additional options to be available in the future.

That's a Windows thing as well. They're still using systems that have been in play for at least a decade and though they finally gave us a native routing system, the audio systems Windows uses are still awful. Here's hoping for an engine overhaul at some point.

How do I switch accounts to log in. I have a twitch chat account, and my streaming one. I can't seem to log out of the chatting one. It just auto logs me in to that now.

In order for you to put overlays on their account, you would need to be an editor. They might also be able to use the overlay as a browser source if you give them the link for the overlay. Not sure if that will work though

Hello I am having a little bit of issues.
First of all my OBS settings are no more showing me the tips (which I registered though SE) after my name change. So every time I receive a donation, it won't appear in the "last activity feed". Reinstalling and re-doing the tip system didn't change the situation.
Also some data give a 404 issue and show nothing.
I was told to give this information to fix it, thank you:

I've been using StreamElements Alert Box linked by Browser Source to OBS Studio. Sometimes my alerts pop up on OBS, a lot of the time, they don't. It's not a variations issue. OBS seems to not receive the alert more than half the time. Has anyone had this issue, and how would I resolve this? Every time I Emulate in the overlay editor on the website, it displays on the website. However, both when I emulate and when live, more than half the alerts don't pop up in OBS and on stream itself. Is this an OBS issue? And how would I resolve?

In some moments the widget crash and dont make any more the animations, im using with browser source and im thinking if its not like a memory leak (because every second has a setinterval call function). please i love if someone can help me

@lament blade does that Twitch Studio discord have instructions on how to remove/reset cookies? If yes, try those.
Other than that, if you open the overlay in your own browser, do you see the blue bar on top?

hi i am a treamer and my overlay have this mesage (Remove: "Improvements are on the way. Sitewide maintenance on June 15, 12:30 - 2:30 pm UTC Click here for details") How do we remove this ugly blue bar? We'd prefer not to stream with it. It doesn't really go with anything...😒

I used the Media Request in my last stream, and I am disappointed again. 30% of the requests ended with internal server error message. What is a message, about that your app has some problem with the request. And I even do not know what was the problem with the video from Youtube was, and could just tell request something else please to the viewers.

If I clicked Media Request Next button on Streamdeck (Your app), it took the next, but then suddenly after 3 seconds it jumped over the next, and played the song after the next. So skipped one song.

My bot is set to Hungarian language, but it is mixed up with lot of English words, like visible on the picture. All the time texts are in English. And there are some others what I do not remember.

You've opened the overlay editor, not the overlay it self.

As for cookies, I would try this:

  • remove the browser source from Twitch Studio
  • restart PC
  • start Twitch studio and add the overlay again and see if the blue bar is still there

If you are using MR from both SE.Live and also the dashboard at the same time, I would suggest to turn off the browser page or SE.Live entirely right now.

The mixed language is something that can't be fixed as of right now, due to how dynamic the response can be.

Try it next time you're live, the bot is in the channel, also it will not count watch time when you're offline since...no one is watching at that time.

Twitch Studio unfortunately is very oversimplified and lacks a lot of options that OBS(which is also free to use) provides. Technically you don't need anything more then just setting your stream key(or logging into OBS with your Twitch account), setting up the browser source, game capture and camera and hitting the "Start Streaming" button.
Maybe some adjustments to bitrate and such to accomodate your PC setup, which easy to do if you simply follow these instructions here: https://stream.twitch.tv/encoding/

f.e.: Someone redeems Bonk with the Channelpoints! Which also triggers a chat command which idk counts up how often it's been used?
