If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have SE.Live installed, please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of SE.Live
  2. Exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
  3. Delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
  4. Start SE.Live
  5. Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Connect

Hi, so I've had this problem for a few weeks now, but for some reason when I go to my Dashboard on StreamElements, it is not counting the number of followers I've gotten over the month. They don't show up in my StreamElements Activity Feed either when somebody follows. Everything else works though. The reason I want to fix it is because I was going to use my previous follower in an overlay. If anybody has any suggestions on how to fix this, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Hey... I am having a problem with a widget not updating in stream. Streamer has to manually refresh to get updated info. I know this has been a previous problem. Can someone tell me if this may be a widget issue (i.e. developer) or an S.E. problem and I need to find a different multi goal tracker from another bot?

A little late, but I think I have the solution to your question. On OBS, go to properties for the StreamElements overlay you're using, press 'Control Audio via OBS' then go to Advanced Audio Properties, and set the Audio Monitoring to 'Monitor and Output'.

I can't edit Twitch overlays. The edit page is stuck on load.
I don't have the issue when I switch to my YouTube acct.
I use google chrome. I tried going incognito, using a Microsoft browser, and Firefox. Same result.
I tried logging in/out from SE and Twitch. I tried disconnecting SE from Twitch then reconnecting. Nope.
SE dashboard/activity feed is reading new Twitch data, but when it comes to loading the editor, nothing happens. It can't communicate with OBS since it's broken.
I didn't change my account in any way to cause this. It's the end of the month, so things were about to reset for a new month. I don't see how that would break the editor.
I tested adding a new overlay and editing that. It doesn't load for anything.

since 4 days ago all streamelements overlays stopped working in my OBS. all non-streamelements browser sources are still working fine. the SE overlays work in the preview link, just not in my OBS. it produces the following error in the log (i removed the links in the error log, to prevent my post getting deleted):

Okay cool. While I was waiting to get that question answered I figured out how to use the overlay editor, lol.
I do have a few oddities to report:
Editing the Cheer Notification event seemed messed up. While you can edit all the settings like the other Notification events, the preview and test notification events show the default settings applied.
Also, the purchase alerts cannot be tested as the option to test them seems to be missing or incomplete, both item redemption and merch event don't have an arrow next to them and clicking on them does nothing.

I just noticed something which is going to force me to redo my in-house overlay background on obs. because I thought the overlay could use the entire screen to place items.
Apparently, your overlay displays 0x, 0y at near the center of the screen so putting anything near the actual left side is impossible.
I would show screenshots if I could.
Overlay size is 1080p. OBS canvas size is also 1080p.
Edit: I'm using the Browser source to display the overlay.
Is there some setting I missed that's not allowing me to have the overlay 1.1 on the screen?
Edit 2: Fixed it. Just had to set the browser source to match the output resolution, which is 720p.

I guess for further explanation while I wait, on the streamelements page, one of the requirements is "stream X for Y hours" and I completed that task. It was marked off as being done all the way up until today in the morning, where it magically unset itself. This campaign has 2 days left on it, so that's slightly why I need a response sooner rather than later. I still have the VOD to prove the stream was done, but Twitch will remove that after awhile.

Had a problem there.... Streamelements becomes unresponsive after a name change... I disconnect and let him rejoin but it doesn't work... When I click join channel it said joined successfully (bottom right) but on the dashboard page the button changed again and shows "join channel" again... and in the channel chat it doesn't say "Streamelements is running" either... what can I do to fix it...

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hi all. I am having an incredibly frustrating problem which I can't seem to find help for. Wondering if someone else has had the same issue:

When I downloaded my overlay pack for my twitch channel, it came with it's own alerts. I recently spent a lot of time making my own custom alerts in SE and deleted the old alerts from the overlay. However although the alerts play within the SE web interface when I emulate them, on stream the old alerts still pop up, and now after the old alert image pops up on stream the sound effect for that alert or some other random alert will play like 5 or 6 times. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

I have logged back out and back in, I have made sure the old alerts are hidden from all overlays not just my main one (clicking the eye icon so they don't show), and have even deleted old unused overlays. Nothing is working. If I trigger the alert by emulating it in streamelements, it shows on stream. However when I have my friend test the alert by following me while I'm streaming, the alert does not show up. Do you know what's going on here?

I was curious about what seems to be a lack of serious metric tracking for gifted subs. Even widgets available through Stream Elements, or others, don't have sufficient data (that i can find) from Twitch to provide detailed leaderboard info on users who 'gift' subs. ie, having a widget/overlay that allows us to show a MONTHLY leaderboard of gifted subs that resets on the month like other stats can. I DO see all time gift leaderboards. but nothing that has a monthly reset that i can use in conjunction with the all time. ie i can see it in the chat at the header when i'm live from twitch itself, but i cannot show another one as an overlay or anything that uses the same data but resets it monthly. the fact that twitch leaderboard can be either/or shows the data is tracked, so why can't i use 'both' of those metrics in widgets in streamelements?

Hi peeps, I've got a question.

Due to an accident a friend's quotes got messed up and would have to be re-add to their account. For quotes they use a custom API that I can unfortunately only add commands to one by one.

So my idea was using Streamelements, which is used alongside anyway, to read a raw file from pastebin and trigger the custom command for each quote in the list. Yes, it works but the thing is that due to no delay, it won't add all the quotes.

Is there a way to customise the !filesay command / use a custom api that would allow for adding a slight delay to outputting the next value by any chance?

Good morning! I've found that lately my alert box sounds on StreamElements are too quiet when they play on straem, and they're already at max volume. I've tried raising the source volume on the overlay in OBS, but it hasn't made it any louder. I've also tried increasing the gain on my sound alerts manually in a separate software and re-uploading them, but it's really inconvenient and doesn't work if I want to use a default sound. Steps:

  2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
  3. Click on Enable Custom Font
  4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

Hello! Are there any tips/tricks to prevent the Stream Boss widget from completely messing up when switching scenes? It's super unreliable lately, ppl with big HP suddenly losing it all when switching scenes, widget reverting to the previous boss upon starting the next stream etc. It's very frustrating.

Is there any way to fix the chat text color on overlays so it's not black? I'd like to use white text since Twitch allows that on its default chat box but the overlay editor doesn't seem to have an option to specify text color. I'm not talking about text stroke or adding a shadow. It's okay if this isn't possible, I just didn't want to have to redesign my in-house background so the chat box is readable. Right now it's mostly a dark tone background which is making the chat box text almost invisible. I designed it that way thinking the chat box text would display like it does on Twitch.

As previously stated, text stroke doesn't change the color. It just adds one to all the text. I need to change the black text so it won't be nearly invisible against a dark background.

Testing cheers in the overlay editor STILL show default options (graphics, sound, and text style). Is this going to be fixed soon? I'm hoping it actually works as expected, otherwise it's going to look odd when someone cheers bits to me.

  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events

  • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

So this is more of a twitch thing. You time someone out and it deletes their messages. you could chnge the timeout duration to 1s and it should kind of do a lil loophole around ALL messages being deleted, but just in case something extra funky is happening, i adjusted a few backend things with the bot

Good morning all. I'm having a slight issue with my alerts. All of them are working EXCEPT my merch alert, which I just added. I've refreshed the source in OBS, I've saved it a dozen times on SE, and still nothing. It's not even emulating on the test screen. Any help would be appreciated.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

I didnt stream for 1 week, now every StreamElements overlay/capture to OBS is blank. They work when you open a browser but blank on OBS anyone else get this issue?

OBS > Settings > Advanced > Scroll down > Enable or disable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration, depending on its current state > Restart OBS

Download the OBS installer from their website: https://obsproject.com
Download the SE.Live installer: https://streamelements.com/selive

Install OBS without letting it run after completion.
Install SE.Live and run after finishing (No need to check the OBS option).
Disconnect and reconnect your account in OBS Settings > Stream.
