Whenever I select "Connect Custom Bot Account", log in with my Twitch bot account, and select Authorize, the pop up window closes and the Send Test Message remains greyed out (even after hitting Save). A friend wanted me to set up his chat bot so I need to remind myself how to give the permissions needed to setup the bot and make custom commands from the twitch chat, cause that is just way easier than talking him through it without being there.

To make commands for someone else do I need to be set as moderator in user management, or editor in channel settings? I don't need to change overlays, just the bot commands.

Depends on what level they have the command set to. It would be easiest if you had Bot Supervisor to adjust the levels yourself and have control of it, but you shouldn't need higher than that for a dashboard manager side of things. If you don't want to mess with the dashboard and just the commands themselves via twitch chat, go with super moderator.

That was the reason why out of box as mod bypasses follower mode.

Now you have it set to use the custom bot name which should work but may have the issue of properly connecting.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

as long as you use anything to split the audio, you can use it all you need to do is make the spoitfy music or whatever app you going to use to be on a single track alone, you can use obs plugins too, you can use hardware such as goxlr or wave xlr to split audio then you follow the video

Hello! I am having an issue. I am trying to review my streamers 'Revenue' section to see if any Partnerships/Sponsorships are available however I face a constant loading screen on just those two sections. I can see all the revenue history and all that so I am not limited and have been given Full Control to all the streamers. Is this an ongoing issue? I am given full access so should be able to see. I see revenue, merch pricing and tip history so clearly there must be a fault and I have been able to view it for nearly a year on 3 streamers. Is this a new change or something?

Events for HelloFresh FR are only updating 2 times a week, on top of that it looks like there's a delay with the last update of events, the relevant team is looking into it but since today is Sunday we will probably wont get any news at least until tomorrow. The campaign being over is not an issue. If needed payment can be adjusted to reflect also the delayed subscribers or a new payment can be created to make up for the delayed ones. Hello! So I finally got Streamelements labels to show data, but now when I add them as my browser source, into OBS Studio, the text there isn't aligning correctly in the box. It's getting cut by the box boundaries. So, example, my donations label is only showing the donator name in the box on OBS Studio. The rest of it (ie. "- $30") isn't showing because it's aligned so far to the right that it's cutting that part off.

I also noticed that in my other labels, like latest follower, subscriber, etc the text is there but each one isn't uniform in where it is in OBS Studio's boundary box.

How can I fix this?

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

Hello, I just saw that a new module had appeared. After some tests I find that this is very nice and avoids using a Twitch extension, however I changed the start message which was basic in English to put it in French, but nothing does the modification is done. Moreover if it would be possible in the future to modify the translation of all the messages sent by the module in the chat this would be really top, because for now only the "start message" is modifiable and as said previously not yet functional.

Hi, a friend's stream crashed due to internet issues, since they got back up the streamelements bot stopped working. I'm their SE editor and already tried to mute/unmute and part/join the bot from the channel, nothing changed. so i have an issue with my media request, it was working find before i had to put all of my browser source widgets into one so i wouldn't be overloading my cpu, since my cpu overloading is the issue at cause for when i stream and it lags.

the way i did this was i put my alert box, chat, viewer count, and media request widget into one overlay and added that to my OBS, and i made an overlay for each scene, since they're different placements i had to.

this seems to have somehow made my media request echo. and i cannot figure it out.

So if I have that, and viewers also have the chat window on their screen. What is the point of having the chat window also as part of the stream..? If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Hi! Recently did a Twitch SE sponsorship for Fortnite and it had issues with the dashboard not capturing the requirements correctly (kill counts). We've tried to ensure the accounts were hooked up correctly and tried correcting it on two different streams. The dashboard was not updating.

I created a default overlay for my alert box through streamelements.com, saved it, and added it as a browser source via streamlabs desktop. when I use the emulate feature, it works through the website and it appears on stream. it also shows up when I hit the replay button on streamelements.com. but when I hit the replay event button on the streamlabs desktop nothing happens. I feel as though I'm missing something and i'm not sure what? If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I've heard that with my build that I should be dealing with very little lag/buffering while streaming but I am still suffering from those. Lower than 80 Frames on a majority games that I play on low settings, if I have discord open my buffering/lag increases more, if I have an editing program out like Vegas Pro/Photoshop it crashes.
My main goal is to improve stability and remove all the issues I have with my current PC build while streaming. Is there anywho can help improve performance on my current PC.

have u tried using more cores? Win + r, type msconfig, Boot > Advanced Options > Check number of processors, input the highest number > OK > OK. Then restart your PC.

i use streamelements for an animated alert, that pops up every 15 minutes. however, when this animation happenes, my cpu usage goes up by ~50% which is especially critical when playing fps based games.

Hello! Recently ran into a problem with donations from UA. What you suggest just does not work in UA. DonatePay.EU is a russian service, it does not allow to accept payments, and PayPal just gives an error on the user side.
Your donation service looks more attractive than others, but at the moment few viewers use it because of the above-mentioned problems.

hello everyone. I was wondering if someone could help me with an issue. Every time I switch scenes, my alerts go off a 2nd or 3rd time. doesn't matter how long ago it was, it happens when I switch. So if someone subs, then x amount of time later I switch to a new scene, the same alert goes off again. I haven't changed any settings but it randomly started a few weeks/months ago. When using ${1} you have to provide an argument after the command or it won't respond. E.g.: !slrdr hello. Also, the bot can't reply to itself, so if packrdr is a command on StreamElements, this will not trigger it.
