OK, I don't know where to go so I'm posting it here. I'm trying to uninstall both streamelements and OBS from my wife's computer (she's not currently streaming, and we need to free up space). However when I try to uninstall the programs, I tried uninstalling OBS first, and then SE and SE would just freeze up and never uninstall. So I reinstalled OBS and even gave it the updates, and now tried to uninstall SE and now it won't uninstall at all. I need help here please.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible as shown in this GIF: https://imgur.com/a/2JhJD0S

Hiii, im trying to add a hug + slap chat commands for the SE chat bot like so:

!command add !hug ${sender} just hugged ${touser}. This user has been hugged ${count ${touser}} times.

!command add !slap ${sender} just slapped ${touser}. This user has been slapped ${count ${touser}} times.

But the counter adds up the totals for both in one count, and I cant work out for the life of me to prevent that, I've tried ${count hug ${touser}} times + ${count slap ${touser}} times.

but it doesnt work, anyway i can fix this?

Regarding the issue of alerts replaying on scene change, are developers aware of it and actively fixing it? The official answer provided here, enabling "Shutdown source when not visible", is not a solution but a patch with negative consequences (among others, potential slow reload of scenes, and pending alerts in queue vanishing on scene change). This bug was not there before and shouldn't be now either, so again, has this been officially escalated to devs? Thanks

But the leaderboards thing has not been updated or included anyone there yet

Is it not possible for me to use this extension because I stream from my phone and not a pc, the reason for it to not track down any 'chatting points'? T-T

I think you are talking about Kappagen widget. If it is working on Overlay Editor, then proceed this way:

  • Click on the link button (next to Preview button, screenshot below)
  • Go to OBS, and right click on your sources > Add > Browser
  • Put the name you want for it and click OK
  • on URL, paste the link you copied with CTRL + V
  • Width: 1920 / Height: 1080
  • Scroll down and select the option "Shutdown source when not visible" and click on OK
  • Try to check if it will work.

In case it is still not working, go to OBS Settings > Advanced > toggle the option "Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration"

Im trying to figure out why my bot account is not able to add loyalty points to users, despite being a super moderator. My stream account can just fine, but the bot account just wont do it. Again, I have it as a super moderator, and its not blacklisted in the loyalty section. ideas?

Hi, I just want to confirming what he said. If you have an echo problem on your OBS it could be for this reason: If you use several Overlay where each one has a Media Request, each one will launch the Media Request individually.

For example I was using 3 overlays for 3 different scenes, each with a Media Request, so the music played 3 times at the same time with a few seconds delay.

To avoid the echo, you need to have the Media Request on a separate Overlay to be played only once in your scenes. Other Overlays should not contain the Media Request.

The same problem can happen with the Alert Box. You need a special Alert Box Overlay, separate from the rest to avoid echo.

Ive been user stream elements for 2 years. and the website has 0 new funtionalities. I asked several times for stuff that is not working properly. When I am being bot followed (Someone paid to attack with followers bots.) Theres only a skip alert function, that only skips 1 alert. this option is useless. why would anyone use to skip 1 alert. we need a skip all. The mark all as read only removes the bold letering from the names. the pause button and the mute button does not work properly when being bot followed by a lot of people. Just try it. you need to spam the button for it to work. I tried to open several tickets but everytime they lead me to a dead link (comunity ideas and stuff) Stream elements its such a cool software/stream companion. What have stream elements been doing for the last 2 years? You guys left the software as it is? 2 years is a long time to not see anything being changed anywhere.

!watchtime

Both currently aren't working across a number of channels. That's the pattern I'm seeing.

I’m helping a friend setting up their Twitch channel and somehow I can’t get the new follower message to work via the chatbot. Both the Chat Alerts module and the specific Followers alerts are enabled, the bot is in chat and was given mod privileges. Every other alert I tested in the Chat Alerts module seems to work fine. I replicated the same on my own channel and I have the same issue. Is there an issue or am I doing something wrong?

Do you have the SE.live installed in OBS? You could change the current bot name (Hamburger menu > stream settings > Custom bot name) to your own name (so it sends messages through you) and if you have that emote set selected as default in twitch it will use those emotes.

That way you can also use emotes from your own channel in commands without subbing SE to your channel.

I was wondering, is there a way to show your sub POINTS in the overlay instead of the sub count? It's a bit awkward to have a sub goal with StreamElements but also have one using the built in Twitch Creator Goals thing, since the Creator Goals use exclusively sub points, but StreamElements only seems to have the total subscriber count

Hi! Wanted to check on the !roulette command.

The !roulette command for a channel that I am moderating is not working - other loyalty points related command such as !top points !points !bet, etc are all still working.
I have also tried to:

  • Disable and enable the roulette module
  • Disable and enable the roulette command
  • Get the bot to part from and join back the channel
    all of the above to no avail.

The command last worked on 2 May 2022 when the channel was live; the channel is live again as of 4 May 2022 6pm UTC+8, and the streamer informed that the command was not working.

May I seek for assistance in this matter?

Is there a chance that a command will be implemented for a newline? The chatbot should then simply insert a new line into the chat. For example: ${repeat ${1:} ${newline}} --> now Streamelements posts x times an string in x new lines in the chat.

After digging a bit into a KB, I see what sub points are. Essentially, you could just rename the goal title/text in the tracker, but there isn't a way (to my knowledge) to track sub points, unfortunately.

Link was deleted but they're essentially, T2 subscriptions are worth 2 points and T3 are worth 6, they count towards emote slots. I switched to SE from SL and SE is better in practically every way but the other guys had it as a trackable metric, it's part of the API

We have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

  • All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
  • Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

I've been having issues where my OBS has been freezing mid stream ever since Stream elements live has been installed. I was trying to uninstall it to see if the software was causing the issue but it won't let me uninstall it. Instead I have this error show up and retries will not make it proceed.

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

  • Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

  • I've set the correct audio device in output settings.
  • The source that i want to monitor is set to "Monitor only"

It is not an overlay issue. I can't monitor the outputted sounds of anything. Not even transitions. I am not new to this, I had this configured and it has worked before.

If it's relevant for my issue, I have Alerts set to "Monitor Only" for example. If i replay an alert, the audio bar for "Alerts" in the Audio Mixer moves, but i cannot hear anything.

if relevant, i am using a pair of "Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless". The wireless headphones are connected to a transmitter box which is connected to my PC via a USB cable. I have used this same configuration just a little over a month ago and it worked with the current settings. I have moved recently and i just replugged everything but haven't done any changes hardware or software wise.

I just installed the SE.live plugin to my OBS studio and I wanted to change my bot name. I've followed all the instructions, but when I press the button for the drop down menu, nothing happens at all. I can't figure out how to get around this...
