Make sure to ☑️ “Shutdown source when not visible” for all browser sources (all OBS scenes).
Also close mute the alerts in chrome in the editor and make sure no overlay is launched in background.
Also make sure you only have one alertbox widget in the overlay you are testing.

I'm trying to use a gif for my sub alert and its there and uploaded but every time I get a sub it just does the standard picture that the site offers, same for when I try to change my cheer animation as well, I can show proof if needed.

If your custom alert images and sounds aren't showing when you emulate alerts in the overlay editor, check the variations for those alerts. If those aren't changed, they will play the default images and sounds over your custom ones.

I was trying to setup a lastkill/death command that automatically updates with a clip. I can do it via a button press from lioranboard but preferred it to be a chat command so viewers could do it

Have you checked to see if it's a global cooldown issue or something? SE live doesn't really do anything for commands since the bot is cloud based.

I see a lot of things here saying to check "Shutdown source when not visible" in OBS for overlays, which helps with things like countdowns, but for scenes with large images the transitions get real slow/flash to black, which doesn't seem ideal. For example, my start screen is full screen image w/ some overlays -- am I better off just loading the image in OBS instead of streamelements?

Hi, I recently reinstalled OBS 27.2.4 on a new PC and attempted to use a browser source to display an overlay made a few months ago in the StreamElements widget editor. I have an alert overlay that works, but the one I've made for my chat and my latest followers does not.

I have pasted the URL in the browser source, moved the source to the top of the list, unchecked the option "Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration" in the Settings, and tried copying the overlay in StreamElements, rebuilding it from scratch, as well as adding the chat widget to my preexisting alerts overlay, all with no success. The chat and recent activity are still not visible. Any help would be appreciated.

My alerts are all setup and I've used stream elements since the start of last year my tip alert has lost me followers and money as the payments will go through but discourage further tipping as the alert doesn't proc at all!. I one time had to pull up my paypal and guess what was donated and thank the person after being slapped in the face with the fact that a $50 donation went unmentioned. set up command through website and all my end is correct any advice?

Can anyone help me with adding in game chat (not party chat) to obs. I am currently streaming from my xbox series S with a capture card connected to my pc when I unplug my microphone from my controller it plays my in game audio but when I reconnect it the audio goes away.

hey guys i need some help sorry if this isnt the right place for this but idk where else to go. so recently my streams have been crashing at least once every 2-3 hours. the stream time on obs stays counting but the actual stream on twitch like resets itself. this used to happen when either my graphics driver or my windows needed an update but everything is currently up to date. I do have the streamelements plugin and read somewhere that i have to reinstall both obs and streamelements but even after doing that my stream still crashes. my internet is really good so i dont think thats the problem. if anyone has any other possible fixes please let me know.

  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events

hello streamelements team. whoever is responsible for the widget "Streamelements Leaderboard" :

If possible please let us choose the colors for the whole thing! I understand the purple-ish is the default, but lots of people use a certain color theme on their whole About/Info Page on twitch and then having the purple widget just makes it look weird. I, alongside other people, would love to use it, but we simply cant because of the color. Sadly there is no alternative for this. So please, give it a thought! ❤️

Trying to find some info for a fellow streamer, but they've been getting delays in their StreamElements alerts while streaming on Twitch. Sometimes they come right through and then other times it takes anywhere from 45 seconds to a couple minutes. No delays are set to alerts so there shouldn't be any "set" delays on those alerts. Is this a known issue? Or is there a fix for this? Only started in the last couple months or so and not sure why it's happening? It seems like smaller bits alerts come right through, while larger amounts and subs seem to be the issue. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 👍

hey! so i changed my twitch name and now the chatbot etc isn't working, (alerts started showing after a day or so though!) I did wait a week after my name change in case it just needed to update but it's not updating and under user management its showing my old username as broadcaster? *I already tried deleting the old broadcaster name but it just refreshes and adds the old names back im very confused? 😦

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

  • Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and fill out the form here: https://streamelements.com/contact with each token correctly labelled

You should be able to readd the sources, unforuntately, the scenes in SE.live/obs may be gone. You can check scene collection > Check for missing files or StreamElements > Cloud backup > manage cloud back up (If nothing is there then sadly the Scenes are lost)

hello, ive been having issues with my streams crashing. happens every 2-3 hours. the stream timer on obs keeps counting but the actual stream on twitch resets after obs reconnects. ive updated my os (windows 10) and my graphics drivers to the latest versions which usually fixed the issue in the past but nothing has changed this time. ive also tried uninstalling and reinstalling both obs and streamelements and that didnt work either. here is my log from my last stream. any help would be much appreciated!

hi all, i'm having issues with twitch. Please note: i already had contact with twitch support and i'm not shadow banned. The thing is, i've started streaming on my account but for some reason no one is seeing me on their following list (when i'm live of course) or can't find me when using the search option on twitch.

  • I tried different software
  • reset my stream key several times

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Could we get a "Skip all queued alerts" button on the SE live dock?
I got hit with 500+ follow bots, when I had StreamLabs I could hide then re-show the alert box and it would refresh it, but that didn't work with SE and I had to mute my alerts for the rest of the stream 😩

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.
