Hello, I'm tying to get my alerts to display nicely (new to obs+streamelements), in the web editor they appear as I want to see them but in OBS I only see a corner of the alert. Where did I go wrong?

What size is your overlay in the editor? What size did you give the browser source in OBS? Rescale things so they match, that's prob your issue

I made them match but nothing changed in OBS. I've been using 500x200 for my alert box, and I made the web editor match, and everything looks great on the browser, but not in OBS. I will ask in the OBS discord I guess, I don't think it's anything on the StreamElements side.

that's the thing. Widget size is not the same as overlay size. Your overlay size in the editor, if you didn't change the default, is 1920 x 1080. You should use 1920 x 1080 in OBS

Could be a situational thing and not sure but in OBS, for your alert box, click into your alert box properties, and make sure the box titled something like “allow to take control of audio” or something like that, is NOT checked. On mobile so can’t check what it is called

Do a quick test stream using either the inspector mode built intop OBS or this website; https://inspector.twitch.tv/#/ --> run your stream for 10 or 15 minutes (it wont actually make you go live, but will simulate everything else) and once done post your obs log here

I mean theoretically you could make a command that counts it- and the word you are wanting wildcard that word, so if your command is !count add count to the wildcard list so if someone types just count it will count up- and since its a comand you can see its usage on your SE Chat Stats

I was able to do some work rotating an element with C4lidas's help before, but I'm trying to replicate that just to use a custom font I have installed and getting little success.

Okay. Easiest fix will have the bot as streamelements. If they want to use the custom bot name they'll most likely need to stop the stream.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I installed it all correctly and for some reason the "Filter Username" Section is not showing up, so i can not filter out my own channel or from a bot. Can u pls help me 🙂 Thx alot!

So the bot went silent after the most recent SE.Live update. It was using my account's name (MrTomFTW, perhaps unsurprisingly). I've followed the advice in this post and sure enough it work if I just let it use the StreamElements name. If I switch back to MrTomFTW it stops working again and if I try to connect an account to use a custom name it doesn't connect, and the Test Message button remains greyed out for that option.

Any advice?

Hey, I have a question about alerts and donations.

So, I have an Elements tips page set up, all the settings are done and sorted as they should be, however, the alerts I use, are from StreamLabs, and will soon become custom ones. I'm wondering, will this affect the alert showing up on my stream? Someone tipping with Elements, and the alert being a Labs browser source.
Obviously, if this is the case, I'll need to fix it, but without having a donation, I'm unable to test it.
The reason I have them different is because I like the Elements tip page design better than the Labs one, but I like the Labs alerts better than Elements, as every widget I've tried to use on the Elements website has either broken or looked bad.

You can try importing your Alerts using our Import Tools. The Media used can be transferred over and you should have no issue having the same ones. You can import using SE.Live or heading to your SE.Dashboard, clicking the icon in the top right, then Import.

This will work if your session data hasn't been reset. It will show all the resubs and subscribers by name.

If you're looking for just numbers you can just head to https://streamelements.com/dashboard and it will show you data on a monthly scale

Hello, I'm having issues with custom bot name. It worked in the past, but I recently changed the account's name and password. The login process goes properly, but once it's done, it doesn't register that the account was added. I've tried reinstalling, logging out, and back in, and still nothing. Any ideas?

IIRC, SL doesn't support SE Tips. I don't believe there is a way to link the tipping page to SE. You'll need to have some overlay with our AlertBox to display it. You can customize it with whatever media but by default SL won't play our alerts

If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have SE.Live installed, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of SE.Live
2. Exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
3. Delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
4. Start SE.Live
5. Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Connect

If you want the bot to use your custom emotes, post links and interact on a lower cool down, make it mod. It's not a bad idea to have the bot as a mod as it can help crowd control as well (check the spam filters).

If you have a custom name, which can be set up via SE.Live, then it will take over the StreamElements bot in your chat and you won't have two bots. You can follow a guide to make sure it's all squared off properly:

Hello! Hoping someone can assist with a sound issue. I cannot hear my follower/sub etc alert, as well as not able to hear my custom sound effects that i have added. My stream is able to hear both my follower etc alerts and my sound effects. In advanced audio i have Monitor and output clicked for all. I can hear my music and remaining sounds. I used to be able to hear all the alerts but sometime in the last year or so it changed.

• Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

Thanks for letting letting me know about the Control via Obs, this has worked for my sub alerts etc. But the sound effects which are local file media sources are not eligible for control via obs. Ive checked all available audio sources and it doesnt work for any. Hi, sorry to bother everyone but for some reason my custom commands aren't working in twitch chat. I tested out the quote and set title command and they worked alright (quote command did say that I needed to enable it when I already had it enabled tho.) I've made sure to mod streamelements and it in my chat. I also parted it from my channel and made it rejoin and it still doesn't fix it.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

This is not possible with default tools.

So unless you want to write custom widgets that will be able to pull the required files and data from the outside storage, it is not possible.

Default widget require files in our storage, so you have to upload them as usual. You can bulk upload, the storage is shared between all overlays.

Hello, I recently setup the "Events rotator" overlay widget and I'm having some issues. It works great until someone types in chat, then it stops displaying. Once no one has chatted for a bit, then it will start up again. Any ideas on what could cause this?

Setting the "Reset slider on new event?" to "no" fixed my issue. Apparently typing in chat is an "event"

In the Overlay:
-Alert box is setup w/ Cheer Alert ($$$ Donations work fine, this issue is just with bits)
--Cheer Alerts is enabled
--All variants have TTS enabled, and the volume is turned up
--Pick an alert randomly when more than one matches is turned OFF

It will not work as the events won't pass through the connected channel. You create a different collection and use that for your other channel. Unfortunately, you'll have to recreate the overlays for the other account.

try to set a reasonable frame rate limit that your GPU can handle without hitting 100% usage.
If that's not enough you may also need to turn down some of the video quality options in the game. If you are experiencing issues in general while using OBS, your GPU may be overloaded for the settings you are trying to use.

reddit says your region is based on your ip and i dont see a setting for country on twitch, but on streamelements when trying the se.pay form it defaults to a country i was previously in but not in anymore and if i try to put my bank in the states it says form failed

The default resolution for StreamElements overlays (theme and custom) is 1920x1080. Please add them in OBS at their full resolution and use CTRL+F to fit to screen if necessary. You can then downscale your stream in OBS settings > Video if you'd like https://i.imgur.com/6bWXxjR.png
