To reset goals:

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Use the Twitch Bandwidth Test to find the best Twitch server to stream to. Set Duration to Medium. You can uncheck any regions you're not near.

The justify right will justify the text to the right-hand side, as you preferred, also we have updated the overlay for you. In the future you'll want to enable Dynamic font size under text settings for that particular text box, then you'll want to make sure to select a size for the width and height of the box as well as shown in the screenshot. It was attempting to auto-size the box based on the size of the name.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

and i never ran into this problem but we imported the alerts from streamlabs

and the animation shows up for the alerts but there is no sound

i already trouble shooted on google and made sure all of his audio was going through one device

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

If you right click the browser source, "control audio via obs" should be unchecked, and "shutdown source when not visible" should be checked. Can you click "refresh cache of current page" and see if that does anything?

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible.

I couldn't connect to restream either, so I used Port 80 (the restream url with an :80 in the middle) and it worked every time. Could it be a port issue? As I said, I can connect/stream on YT and FB with no problem, every time. It's just Twitch that gives me the "failed to connect" prompt.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hello @viscid pebble For some reason, I cannot donate to xQcOW. I have checked with the mods, and I'm not banned from donating at all (username or email associated with my paypal). Whenever I go to stream elements to donate, after I login to ANY account, the "Tip" button is greyed out and cannot be clicked. I've tried multiple accounts, going on a VPN connection, even spinning up a virtual machine on a server, and nothing has worked. Can you help me understand how this is even possible? I'm puzzled.

How I did it was go to overlays > create overlay (so it was blank and didn't mess with anything) > add static image > right click > save as. The size may be a little off but you should be able to get it that way.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible.

Hi there. I am trying to set up a meow command which is supposed to play a sound alert and reply "${sender} meowed at Bilbo!". I have been able to make it do either one of the things but not both at the same time. I tried setting the command response as "${redeem meow} ${sender} meowed at Bilbo" but while it plays the sound, the part after the redeem doesnt work if I do that. Idk if you got it figured out, but if you're adding an overlay for it: Add button > Static/Custom > Video.. That's what worked for me. If you add it in the image section, I believe it wont work as a gif.

yes that "Save Changes" will recalculate everything, but you need to clean up your Revenue History (see main menu) then edit the appropriate widget data and then go to setting in Widget Data and press that Save Changes and it will recalculate everything

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

However it was posting the message at the top of the hour instead (like if I started stream at around 12:17PM but the timer would post the message at 1PM and so on instead). If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hi! I’m looking for help with custom chat commands. I just wanted to add the !lurk command and it did, however it has a random emote each time. I want to edit that so it will show an emote from my channel instead of a random one. The bot is subscribed to my channel etc but it doesn’t change when i try changing the emote. The command im using looks like this: ${user} now lurking message goes here ${random.emote}

I’ve tried using the emotes code etc and that doesn’t work either

What’s confusing me the most is everything says the bot just needs to be subbed, and it is, yet it still isn’t working

Unless you're a Twitch partner you're not guaranteed transcoding; so unfortunately not.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hi! My custom stream elements bot has randomly stopped working for the second time. I’m not sure why it keeps randomly stop working. I’m back using stream elements as the bot but I miss my custom one. Any reason why it might keep doing this? Thank you for any help

it could be that the bot session is expiring, try following these steps, this should fully fix it

1. Right-click your OBS desktop shortcut (not the SE.Live shortcut) and navigate to Properties
2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)

Hey hey! So every time I stream, OBS would literally end stream and say that I have an encoder issue. I've changed some settings but I'm not sure what else I can do. Can someone help me please? When I click "Go to Dashboard" it just reloads the whole site and takes me back to streamelements.com, even though it looks like it makes an attempt to go to the dashboard...

you can use the random pick variable: ${random.pick 'emote1' 'emote2' 'emote3'}

but you'll have to manually add all your emotes

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

If you log in with Twitch, it's connected automatically. You can always add streamelements as a moderator again by typing /mod streamelements in your Twitch chat.

Heya everyone, I've been using stream elements for many years, decided to update my layouts to start streaming again but as I was testing out my alert one of them causes my pc to go from 60% CPU all the way to 120% Cpu making my game stutter and lagg.
I have never had this issue ever before, its the same alert I used for a few years now I'am completely clueless and I've been trying to fix it for the last 3 hours or so.
I updated my drivers, restarted my pc, adjusted settings in OBS, adjust the resolution of the alert, I ran out of ideas honestly.
If there is anyone who knows how to fix this and help me out I would greatly appreciate it
