If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Sorry, i'll try to explain it more better. So what i'm trying to do is make a message into a TTS. But the way i've been doing it is though the alert layer section all the time. I've removed all of the settings in that section, just to send a TTS. I know i'm doing it the wrong way because it's interfering with my general alerts. What I am basically trying to figure out is if there is a way to do a TTS without making a popup alert, and just have the voice itself.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.

Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Not automatically in one click, as far as I know. I would suggest to leave the overlay as it and resize the browser source in OBS, but 1080p and 480p isn't the same aspect ratio, so that wouldn't work perfectly.

I changed my name on twitch recently as a rebranding thing, and immediately after my stream elements stopped working.
It shows me that my channel is live when I go live but none of the commands work and I can’t find a fix anywhere.
I’ve already tried to follow this step:

• Logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
• On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat.
  Anyone know any fixes?

No, he doesn't have any other channel, or any other connection with Streamelements other than that Twitch account.
I saw the streamlements.com/coreano/ webpage and it's empty, so maybe this is an abandoned account? Because when he changed the account from **coreanofps **to coreano, there was an old coreano account on Twitch, but as it was inactive, Twitch was able to give them the name (he is a Twitch partner).

So I setup my custom bot in OBS Live yesterday and am I understanding it right that it will only stay as the custom bot name if OBS Live (or Ground Control) is active? There's no way to keep the custom name even when the app is closed after we authenticate it?

No, the app is automatically works with that overlay and only that overlay.

And that you can't see it - that is normal, the phone is not supposed to show the overlay, audio only

Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hey all, I'm trying to convert a twitch eval code I use for several commands from nightbot to streamelements. The basic coding is "$(eval a=$(urlfetch json PASTEBIN LINK HERE);a[Math.floor(Math.random()*a.length)])", where I paste a raw pastebin link that contains a list of variables, and the command will pull one random choice from that list in the paste. Is there a similar way to do this with streamelements? To have it pull the list from a pastebin link and randomly select one to use?

• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

I uploaded a custom sound to my alert box. After the sound has finished playing the alert box disappears instead of playing through the whole animation. I would like the animation to continue through to the end after the sound plays instead of disappearing right after the sound is finished playing. Any way to fix this? Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

4. Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

1. For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
2. Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
3. Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
4. Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

Yes, I'm familiar with how to do that, and did that previously with a different music player (not spotify). However, I am trying to use the Stream Elements Media Request feature. This forces me to use the player, GC, in order to play music. But I'm not sure if it scrobbles - perhaps I'd need to download the desktop app like in that video to try get it working.

1. Automated media requests
2. Media that plays should not play through desktop audio (I need to be able to route it through another virtual output so I can adjust volumes and other things)
3. "Now Playing..." should be visible on stream to show viewers what song is playing.

Not really, the points are just points. You can let viewers redeem items with pictures and other stuff, but the points can only have a specific name
