It shows the faded alert text, (like the ones that show after the alerts is finished) and no full color/opacity text is shown

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Having problems with the Alert Box in the 'Row' format. I've tried resizing my alert box from 240 height down to 120 height, the previous image was oversized and displayed cut off, so I reedited the image to the same size (120) as the new alert box, but the image doesn't align to the left of the box anymore, rather its shifted over as if its expecting an image of the previous size, any ideas?

its not in the center of the box, rather like 20-30px right of the left edge, almost as if a Margin is being applied, but I've checked everywhere I know and there isn't a Margin applied.

for anyone who wonders about this later: Row Layout splits the box into exact thirds, one third for the image, and the remaining two thirds for the text. the thirds are taken based off of the boxes overall width, in my case was 720px, it just so happened by coincidence that I had my height 240px which is a third of 720, hence why everything displayed correctly initially. So for the correct use of row, if your using a video or image and want it to fit perfectly, you need to keep your box width in mind.

The sponsored gameplay part is 2 hours (best done in one session) and the total stream time with the assets should be at least 4 hours. It can be split, but we recommend to do this in one go. More is always welcome, those are the minimum times, there is no maximum. Campaign is running for 7 days.

You wont loose anything by installing the portable version as you can install it anywhere even to a USB flash drive if you want. I have mine installed to a directory on my D drive which is synced to my ASUS Webstorage account. Which also acts as a back up if something goes wrong.

@blazing joltI would say you would have to use a program like Bandicam, iFun Screen Recorder or ScreenHunter Pro as I have all these installed. There's probably others out there. But these are the ones I use the most with Bandicam being my favourite.

Before recommending someone how to do that, you should ask what they're trying to achieve like I did. That wouldn't be the first time that someone is asking about recording the chat, but all they wanna do is add the chat in their stream which can be done via a widget in an overlay.

You need to make sure that you use the correct resolution for the browser source, then you can rely on the position and make sure everything fits. By default our overlays are 1920x1080

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

If you are using the built in chat widget, the only way to check the settings is to open your Twitch chat in a separate tab and send some messages. I would suggest looking/searching in #widget-share for some of the community made chat boxes as they have many more customization options and many have an emulate chat button.

Hi, I just activated the twitch extension (leaderboard) today and while I am logged into the dashboard of streamelements and have been using streamelements for a while, the extension shows offline and doesn't show any stats at all....

I've tried re logging in and also uninstalling and reinstalling the extension

the browser dashboard shows everything correctly and I have not changed my twitch username

Hello Peeps, can anyone help me with using a custom bot name? I have followed a number of guides but still the custom name isn't showing up only my twitch name and the StreamElements names are showing which by the way work.

But when select the Set custom bot name from the drop down box the click on Connect Custom Bot Account and then enter in my Twitch account for the bot name I want to use and authroize it. It still wont show the name in the drop down box and the Twitch account name I want to use has already been added as mod.

So does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on please?

1. Right-click on your OBS desktop shortcut and open the Properties
2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4. Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6. Navigate to the Console tab
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

Hoping someone can help. In OBS at the start of audio from a browser source there is a loud stuttering sound. The sound is not in the file and does not happen directly from the source URL. It seems to happen on the first sound or if there has been no sound for a bit. In cases where I have two browser sources it happens on the first sound played by that source when it becomes active. Any ideas?

I need help with coding the Output 2 response in regards to Output 1.

I want to reward users for successfully requesting a song, and so far the custom command works in recognizing who to reward, however i cannot get it to do so without the "@" symbol there for the reward is not granted.

Here is my StreamElements response: !bonus ${0|user.name} 25 (For the SR, I appreciate it!)

Ive tried replacing user.name with user, touser, .name, .user, sender, sender.name, source, source.name, and still have not been able to capture the name without the "@".

I've searched google for a good 30+ minutes and nothing touches this topic.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

realistically ${0} returns the same as ${0|user} or ${0|user.name} so "|user" isnt doing anything but according to the streamlabs variables "user" and "user.name" should return the targets name

but without the "0" it returns imataru_ as thats that actual user. not the targeted user in the triggering message

Try using ${1} for the response to your first command, and ${user} for the response to the second command

What I would to know is. Is there a way in which I can test the Alerts I have added to OBS Studio?

I have added the browser source and I have tried using the Emulate feature inside the StreamElements website and the checkbox is checked to Preview Live on stream. But still nothing appears but they appear and work in the Stream Elements website.

I added the "Knockout Animated Alerts - FALL GUYS ALERTS TWITCH" but I figured out what my problem was after watching a video from Harris Heller.

Turns out the issue was caused by me as I had the canvas of the browser source set to default which was 800 x 600. But after changing this to 1920 x 1080 everything worked and I could see the alerts in OBS Studio.

Still trying to understand this source sizing as I am new to StreamElements so I don't understand that part...

I really only want to use all StreamElement services and products. So I have more research and reading to do I guess.

The default resolution for StreamElements overlays (theme and custom) is 1920x1080. Please add them in OBS at their full resolution and use CTRL+F to fit to screen if necessary. You can then downscale your stream in OBS settings > Video if you'd like https://i.imgur.com/6bWXxjR.png
