Not sure if this is the place to ask, but I have recently started using Streamelements and for some reason my host alert is not working in my chat on twitch. Ever other alert works...Followers, Subs etc, but hosts don't...is there a way to fix this?

I would like to close my account as I didn't quite realize what the tool/software was until I got it up and running and decided I would rather not have the software. So when i am in security and I have clicked "Close Account" it requests confirmation of data. I am certain I know the username and email address associated with this account, as I just set it up today a few hours ago. I should have researched it more. However, I dont know where to access the Json Web Token or JWT.

Can I get more information as to how to access that data?

I had used Streamlabs before and I have my OBS configured the way I like it. I realized this is a very similar setup to Streamlabs and I dont really need its services. Even though the offered services are great and helpful. Its just not what I prefer personally.

Hi there, I'm having a bit of trouble with my notifications.
I have the correct browser source, The bot has mod permission and if I click test then I get "StreamElements: reporting for duty." when I get a follower the streamlabs bot does announce it in chat. But for some reason my activity feed stays blank on streamelements and does not show that someone followed, same with the alert it never pops up. I had a stream a few days ago and the raid showed in the feed but nothing else

Hello, so I have this element in my overlays. I want to resize the actual element but when I try to resize it using the rectangle, it only resizes the canvas of the element and not the element itself. ie. it makes the canvas of the element smaller instead of making the actual element smaller

The overlay website should work on mobile, but you'd have to be using chrome on that device. Not sure if you're trying to use your phone to manage those alerts, but I don't think you'd be able to do it that way. You should be able to play those sounds through OBS too

Is there a way to limit the length of text to speech messages? Say someone sends a super long message, is there a way to have the text to speech cut off after a few seconds to where I can choose to read out the remainder of the message or not? I've had a few people try to test the length and my alerts can go on for almost 20 seconds if they time it right. Yes, I can skip the alert but it would be easier if there was a feature to turn on so I didn't have to scramble for obs live each time.

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. Firefox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. Yeah and like I said, for Cheers, the emote of the specific cheer is being used. You cannot disable this behaviour. Check my screenshot, specifically the red box.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

When i add an alert or widget it doesn't do anything. i'm currently streaming through my ps4 and only use my pc for my creature dashboard on twitch to see everything and of course streamelements to add comments in chat. I don't have a capture card at the moment. is it still possible to add overlays??

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Canvas size is in the OBS video settings.

That should not be relevant for overlays, since OBS can scale everything as long as the format is correct (16:9 etc.) - just resize the overlay, no need to change the resolution.

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

You can try to enable or disable hardware acceleration in the advanced settings in OBS - that is the only setting that has a performance impact on alerts.

And in general a good and fast connection to the servers and a powerful PC (or a dual PC setup) solves most of the performance issues for streamers.

This is a login issue. The usual fix is to log out and log back in - so that has to be done with the correct account.

Can someone explain me how can I rotate twitch chat? In settings I have only 4 options(0, 90, 180 and 270, which is too much), but I need to rotate it just a little bit

is it the default chat box? ... it's not the best solution but there is no little rotate with that, you can add this into OBS custom CSS override when you import the source : ```css

Hi! I am trying to help a friend set up their overlays in the StreamElements Overlay Editor, but for some reason whenever they try to upload an image, video or even use a pre-built overlay it wont appear and just says "Oops, something went wrong."

What could be the issue?

Hello there. I'm having issues in the TTS system - when the item in the store is redeemed, it just show that the item is redeemed, but not the text written by the one whom purchased the item.

How can I fix this?

I think... both? Appears that "X person redeemed item Y" on my program and in my stream, but the message is not shown under it and neither the "Google's Woman voice" says the line written by the "X person".

It's like... Streamelements cannot read the message written by X Person and by thus, it thinks no message have been sent and "Google's Woman voice" does not say it.

And as shown in the pic, TTS activated

when I try to emulate, it does appear and the voice does say the line

But when is by redeeming the message here, in the redeemable itens from Streamlabs Store, it does not show the message neither says in the program/live

so yesterday was my first stream ever and thankfully it went great! a friend of mine gave me a boost by a small donation and he showed me screenshots that the amount got withdrawn from his account and i tried to look for it on stream and on the website but there's nothing. can someone explain to me what could have happened to it?

@silk nimbus If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

Hi! I hope you can help me. I'm moderator of twitch.tv/sujagg. I have setup StreamElements with a timer of 8 minutes for commercials (/commercial). But everytime I try to add a second timer for something else for 9-10 minutes each (like a simple text to remind people to follow his channel), the first timer for commercials gets bugged everytime the first and the second timer meet. It shows that it couldn't run a commercial as a text in the chat. After 8 minutes, it runs again normally, but the message is kinda awkward. Is there a fix to this?

Hey, for this case (multiple messages on the same interval) we would recommend you use one timer and just have it fire off multiple messages

Hello there, it's not 100% related to Twitch but more to streamelements in general. Me and my friends have a shared Twitch channel, one of us is physically streaming and the others are just part of the live stream. We would like to know if there's a way to monitor sound alerts for the ones not streaming. We know having an obs/streamlabs client is an option, but we would like to know if there's something lighter that we can have to monitor streamelements sound alerts. We tried using the browser source in a page of our browser, but it's only working if you click on the page while sound is playing, which is something not viable because of course we do not know when the sound is playing. Any suggestions?

I should mention that I'm not talking about the regular events such as new follower, new sub ect. but I mean custom sound alerts that I created through the Streamelements stream store feature. Those sounds are playable through a chat command set to subscribers only

the only viable way is what you're currently doing, which is opening a preview of the overlay in your own browsers and listening in to the alerts
