There are no other ways. The only way to rename the bot is via a PC client (or Mac)

So you need to live with it

Having OBS.Live sitting there in the background not streaming will not produce any significant load on the PC

Hello, I am have an issue with my alerts. I am using the Assassins Creed - Machiavelli Animated overlay and the sound is set up correctly in the editor but it will not make sound on stream on obs, it just does the animation. I am not sure if this is the right forum for this question or not.

Well your channel shows that the custom bot name is active. It can only be done via OBS.Live or an outdated tool called Ground Control

somebody renamed the bot and it lost the connection. Can only be fixed on the client side.

I have 4 problems here:

2. I get the following error while trying to update game and title via command: failed to update channel, please re-login (screenshot is coming)

4. One specific user don't show up in the sub roll everyone else of my subs does.

1. was the channel renamed? if yes, need old+new name. If not - need new name
2. is the bot a moderator in your channel?
3. this is a known bug, being worked on
4. that username might be caught by a filter, check your filters

Both yes. Everything is working. Alert did play when she subscribed and also when she tipped. Her name is also appearing if I set the time period to All time but then it shows users which aren't subscribing right now. That's why I set it to 1 Month.

If you switch the language - it will change. Not the entire information on the page, since you enter that manually - but everything else will like the menus.

So my brother went to obs.live - turns out my bot's name there has been set to StreamElements all along. We tried resetting it, but it still shows Custom Bot Name: true... @ebon forum

2) In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
3) Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4) Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5) Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6) Navigate to the Console tab
7) Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8) Try setting the custom bot name
9) Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties."

Check your link protection settings. That's a twitch setting that blocks links. And give the bot moderator rights

You can apply custom CSS to some widgets. If that option is not present in the widget itself, then it needs to be re-made as a custom widget from scratch - also an option, depending on your coding skills.

@rancid pond Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

hey guys, anyone know why I can't get my stream elements alerts to work when live. When I run the test through on the overlay they work, but once I'm live, they may or may not come through.

Usually I can refresh it and it'll come through, but not always, in anycase that's a hassle

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@sweet void If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

So that might be Windows (if she uses windows) changing the window. There is a "Fix scaling for apps" option that may make a difference. Another option might be to try enabling/disabling hardware acceleration in OBS

@blazing root If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

So you'd have to decide which bot you want responding to viewers. Whichever you don't want, you'd need to go to that dashboard and remove it from your channel. if you want SE to respond, go into the nightbot dashboard and disable it.

It really depends on preference, I'd suggest looking through the features and seeing which one gives you more of what you want

Currently I even removed it from my list of moderators and yet it retains it's phantom custom name.

I'm setting up widgets/alerts, but do not see an option to delay audio or video for the alert. Currently the sound plays before the video. In streamlabs there's a setting called "Alert Delay". I don't see such a setting here. How can I adjust this?

I do not use obs.live. But somehow my bot has taken on a custom name and holds on to it for its dear life, for several days now. It keeps turning the custom name on all by itself
