Basically, I have the stream elements chat bot and I use the quote system, and even though I have it set on 'Everyone', it will only allow mods to use !quote add. Is there an easy fix for this?

You need to set all related commands to "Everyone"

The !quote add command might be still set to Moderator role

Media share is not just the browser source, you need to add videos to the media share and hit "show on stream" for the video to show up there

If you do not hit the "show on stream" button, the video will not be on the media request widget in the overlay.

@winged tundra When you create your widget in the dashboard it asks what size you want your canvas. Then in the overlay editor you can resize the widget.

@lament blade If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@zealous ruin The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hi! I changed my Streamelements bot to a custom bot name and have set it up on OBS. It was working earlier in my chat but when I closed the activity feed dock on OBS, the custom bot and Streamelements bot both stopped responding to commands. I've put the activity feed dock back on OBS, logged out and back in on Streamelements and restarted OBS but neither bots are responding to commands now.

A search for "streamelements" in my inbox turned up a message from the end of last month saying "welcome to StreamElements." I never authorized streamelements to have access to my twitch account. How do I revoke your access? There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Tho i'm comming across with a problem with my host alerts and i'm sure i've tried everything i could find on internet browsers. Nothing seems to make my host alerts work. @lament blade The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Hello. After setting up StreamElements overlay for my Twitch channel via Streamlabs OBS, I noticed that the "New Follower" label hasn't updated but I've just chalked this down to StreamElements not being able to collect data from before it was added, which is fair enough, however, if someone could confirm this, that would be great.
Second question: On the "Widget Data" section where you can enter in the widget data manually for things like "New Follower", if I enter something in there, and then someone actually does follow, will the text I manually entered then be replaced?

Hi guys, I've got a problem with one follower. Basically every other follower or person trigger an alert or a chat sound works as normal. For one in particular not, like doesn't trigger any alert or sound and i don't know why, he is not even banned or muted in anyway. How is possible??

To reset goals:

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hello, I messaged here earlier because SE has been accessing my Twitch account & stats when I never authorized this use. I was informed by @ionic kelp that SE staff confirmed that I am in their system, & that the only way for me to clear my information from the system was to log in to the dashboard. I was wary of doing so -- which I expressed here multipe times -- because I have never signed in to the SE dashboard before, & doing so would force me to authorize SE's access to my Twitch account, which I did not want to do.

It is clear now that I had never authorized this access, because, the moment I signed in to the dashboard, SE showed up on my Twitch connections settings page at https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections when it had NOT been listed there prior.

I am already upset at the breach of my Twitch account by SE, & now further upset that I had to authorize the already unauthorized access of my Twitch account by logging in, because apparently this was the only way to remove me from your system. Now I am being prompted to put in my JWT token in order to submit the closure request. Where do I find this token? I don't want this authorization to go on even a second longer than necessary.

I appreciate that this issue is not the fault of anyone at this helpdesk directly, but it is an unauthorized breach of my Twitch account by your system, which is unacceptable, and I'd like to see it fixed immediately. Thank you for your time.

Can I assume this means the closure request was received? I have not received any confirmation message or email from SE indicating receipt of the closure request.

Hello, there is a way to indicate to streamelemnts bot to activate a command itself with another command? I created a simply !rng with random picks setting my interactive comands but SEbot just shows the result of the pick without triggering the actual command.
Im using: ${random.pick '1command1' '!command2' '!command3'} to trigger when somone sends: !rng

Hello, I’ve been using the media request around a month, via obs plain and the custom dock but it stopped working mid stream today, first just the video wouldn’t show but now it won’t play at all saying no active widgets, after troubleshooting by creating a new overlay with the the same steps I did to originally set it up

I would recommend to use it from the Dashboard, as your Browser is the best place to run and control MR, rather then a custom dock

Hi, i just realised that my loyalitysytem wasnt enabled since my !watchtime command didnt work. Hello, I have installed Streamelements leaderboard yesterday and it showed no data on the chat, which I just assume maybe meant it had not enough data to go on. Then after the stream, it still showed no data on the chat, but atleast it showed followers and subs and cheers. So this morning, I decided to put "CHEERS" on default screen, and now the leaderboard has a blank purple screen and won't load. I have tried uninstalling and logging out and back in to the dashboard page, but it still doesnt work. Can maybe anyone please help me out?

@tired trout If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello, I have my StreamElements full connected with my Twitch, but the !cmds have stop working since yesterday and I can't find why, neither how to fix it. Does one you know this issue and how to fix it please?

@patent ridge If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello! I'm trying to learn how to have chat commands that launch media (e.g. a gif with sound). Can someone please help me? Thank you. Oh & I run OBS.

Steps to make a command trigger sound on stream:

1. Go to Stream Store page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/store/items
2. Add an item that has these settings on it:

• Stream Perk
• Loyalty settings to your desire
• (Next step) Add contents (image and/or sound you want to play)
• "Redeeming this item shows an alert
• Redemable via chat
• Skip Requirements

3. Get the item name/command from the 2nd creation page
4. Go to commands page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot-commands/custom-commands
5. Add command with desired name and have response for command as: ${redeem item_name_here}
6. Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.
7. Click on "widgets" and add "Store redemptions" widget. Click save and you should be golden.
8. Test your own command in chat and have OBS or editor open to hear sound

Make an overlay, add the alert widget to it and simply add it to SLOBS

I just received a mail about the Viking sponsorship of wich apparently the payment didn't went trough because I need to log on https://suppliers.tipalti.com/StreamElements/Account/Login So i need to go to tipalti.com and create an account first? How come it isn't through my paypal since it's already link on my streamlabs since I receive donations on the daily?

Because we have partnered up with Tipalti to process payments. Tipalti also processes payouts from Twitch, but in a more hidden type way.
That being said, if you've receive a payment failed email, that means you've received the invite email as well
