pls help my custom chat bot name doesn´t work I conect the Bot account but the "send Test Message" button is still grey and the bot messages are still from Streamelements. My Bot Acoount is Mod and Sub.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

@feral matrix The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Hi, I need help with the media request. The videos won't play automatically. I have the autoplay media in settings on. I watched the video on it, but in the video there was a play button and a bar showing the video progress, and I don't have that. I only have the youtube embed that I have to click to play the video, and once it's done, the next one doesn't play. I also have the forward and backward buttons. I got some custom alert badges, but they came to me in GIF file. Streamelements wont let me upload these files as my alert 'videos' and only as an image, but it completely gets rid of the animation and turns it into a static image. I'm not sure what to do from here, as when I convert the files to MP4 like it seems it wants, it gets rid of the keyed out background.

@plucky hatch Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Howdy SE Friends. I recently decided to add one of the fantastic Event Rotator widgets to my stream via OBS, but it isn't showing any of my stream data except for Follower Count. Is there anyway I can go about fixing this?

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

@worldly escarp I should also add that my activity feed on both OBS.Live and SE Dashboard only show my recent donations. Furthermore, the Widget sometimes completely fails to load. I have the Widget loaded twice on 1 scene for 2 different purposes (once with just one slide that has a Title reading 'Subscriber Goal' and the other one with Recent Follower, Follower Goal, Last Subscribe, Last Resub etc. Not sure how valuable this information is but I thought the more info the better

Good morning. I have setup some auto timers for StreamElements but they do not appear online. If i activate the offline mode they do. SE is moderator and all other commands and popups work, just not the times messages.

I also recreated one and it again only works when offline. Once i activate online it stops. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your time.

I have also tried to set the chat at 0 but it does not make a difference, only offline seems to activate the bot.

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

hey all, im having an issue where my chat commands are not working in OBS. is there something ive missed? the bot is on the channel, and does alerts and everything just fine, but no chat commands are coming up

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Just to be clear: If you ask for your account to be deleted you will not be able to use it again. All your information will be lost.
You can just part the bot from your channel and not use SE services.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

well it might be a bit complex to understand then
try adding this to your regex field of the command's advanced settings ^(\AYourWordinAllCaps\z)
this basically means that however that word will be typed, the command will be triggered
if it's typed a bit differently in chat, it shouldn't trigger the command
so if your regex is ^(\AHELLO\z) it should trigger the command if someone goes HELLO in chat
this is the regex without the work ^(\A\z) and your word comes after the 'A'

2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name

4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

IDK if staff had a chance to enable the function on it - honestly, seems to me like that should be a default function of ground control, not something that needs to be toggled

@delicate iris I see the "user has been banned", which usually indicates that you have triggered the ban process.
Usually when someone times out or bans a person in chat it lists it as "X user has been timedout by Y moderator"

but in cases where you do it, it just says the action like that

I'm currently struggling to upload a sound file that I want to use for my follower alert, when I browse my computer for the file and select the file, I get the "Started uploading file!" notification in the bottom right of the Stream Elements window, within a couple seconds I then get the "Failed while uploading file" notification. This shouldn't be an internet issue, as I'm able to actively do everything else (Load up videos and browse the web) I normally do on my internet, and I don't believe it's an issue with size or file type support, as the file is an Mp3 with a file size of 43.4 KB, and I only have 0.47 MB of spaced used on the cloud.

It was mentioned that my antivirus may be interfering, however even after disabling it I'm still having the issue.

I managed to upload the file for you. I would suggest to try and upload it your self in incognito mode. If its successful, most likely an extension on your browser is interfering with the upload.

Actually, I wasn't uploading it on a browser in the first place; I was trying to upload it through Stream Elements OBS (through the "Edit Widget Data" thing, see image). However I was able to upload it through my browser without any issues, which I don't know why I didn't think to try that before, but I suppose this solves the problem??

Firstly, all of your item commands are identical, try to change them. Otherwise they might not be listed in chat properly.
Secondly, neither of them have "redeemable via store" checked, so they won't show in your store page.

@analog forge If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Timers are not synchronized in any way. So they are randomized already, they follow only specific settings for each timer.

Experiment with chatlines and time settings to mix them up - timer starts counting the minutes after the chatlines have passed.

Please check your tipping settings, that the connected Paypal email is correct. Everything else is on the end of Paypal - you need to make sure they let the money through etc. We can only display events if Paypal provides us the information about the transaction.

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@rancid blade Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

I'm a mod on some channels, and they gave me access to the streamelements dashboard for some time, but this week I noticed that I can't access 2 of the dashboards anymore (I used to be able before). When I try switching to those, I just get redirected to the streamelements initial page (https://streamelements.com/). If I try clicking again on My dashboard, I again get redirected to the initial page. To solve this I need to clear the localstorage items, then I go back to my own dashboard, but if I again try to access that streamer dashboard, I get the same problem again... I've been having some trouble with one of my timers on the streamelements bot.

I have a nikon camera for my stream (not ideal, i know) and the live view cant be showing for more than 30 minutes without an "interaction" which means i have to press a button every 30 minutes or it closes the live view ANYWAY i have set a timer for every 25 minutes when im live that doesnt require any chat messages to trigger.

But for the past few streams its getting more and more.. broken. First it was 30 minutes late, then 45 and today it was AN HOUR AND 20 MINUTES late. It was fine at the beginning, it would send a message 25 minutes after i went live and then it went on vacations or something.

The thing is, after the first time it sends a message, it keeps up and sends a message every 25 minutes, but the first time is getting slower and slower..

Is there anything i can do to fix this?
