!command show (commandname) - allows you to see the raw response of a command before variables are used

I added alerts first and they seem to be working just fine, but when I added labels (latest follower, following goal) and text, I can't see them on my OBS and yes I did put the link in and saved the overlay. It also doesn't show on my stream. I also tried if it might work with Streamlabs but it doesn't

2. Add an item that has these settings on it:

• Stream Perk
• Loyalty settings to your desire
• (Next step) Add contents (image and/or sound you want to play)
• "Redeeming this item shows an alert
• Redemable via chat
• Skip Requirements

3. Get the item name/command from the 2nd creation page
4. Go to commands page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot-commands/custom-commands
5. Add command with desired name and have response for command as: ${redeem item_name_here}
6. Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.

Hi all, question about using custom widgets and alerts. I noticed during my charity stream that alerts from Twitch and Tiltify overlapped - I had bits and a donation received at the same time, and both alerts played simultaneously over the top of one another.

Is there a function in StreamElements to "queue" alerts from multiple sources?

If you want it to appear on stream, while you're live your PC needs to be turned on. If you want it to show also offline, then the only way would be through a Twitch extension I guess. But you definitely can't show this widget offline through Streamelements

Hello. I've been having an issue since I started using streamelements. My activity feed will not track followers. My TWITCH activity feed does show them, but the streamelements activity feed only shows raids, hosts and redemptions.

This inturn causes my follower alert sounds and animations to not come up.

They only show up when I preview a follow event in the overlay editor. But not when someone follows me on stream.

@vital kraken The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Hi,. Manually typing it in on the left hand panel only changes the Label Name of the event. The event within the Layout still says "Streamelements". It seems like the information for the Social bar is pulled from another source. Much like my Twitch name is pulled from my profile. Any idea where and how to get it to display correct data?

update: Found it! You have to click the menu and then scroll to the bottom and then click settings and enter it manually.

Hi there. I am using StreamElements overlay system to show my live subscriber count on Twitch. And it has been going great, updating in real time and everything. But now that I am losing subscribers since it's a new month, StreamElements isn't displaying my new subcount. I am now down to 24 subscribers as my Twitch Dashboard shows but my StreamElements subscriber count overlay is still displaying 33?

And the command in the StreamElements overlay is simply {count} so I can't change it. I have been using it as a goal as well, so like when I was at 33 subs on Twitch, the overlay displayed {count}/35 (i.e. 33/35) but now I'm down to 24 subscribers and am trying to change it to {count}/25 since I'm at 24 subs now, but it's still displaying as 33/25

Nevermind I fixed it. I had to change it from relative timing to calendar timing for my totals.

I'm having an issue with one of my overlays... I have a hype cup in my main overlay set that I'm trying to put into it's own layer in OBS, so I'm copy pasting values from the old hype cup layer in the main overlay into the new hype cup only overlay, and things aren't working the same for the two iterations of the cup. In the new overlay, the hype cup disappears down the bottom of the frame. I can record some video to show what's going on if I'm not explaining myself clearly. Why does one cup slide out the bottom of the frame, but the other stays where it needs to be?

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday so far! I've been having a consistent issue for the past week or so with StreamElements Browser Source overlays not rendering in OBS (and OBS.Live). Things I've tried:

• Logging in and back out
• Reimporting the overlays
• Refreshing the cache
• Turning off hardware acceleration
• Uninstalling and reinstalling OBS.Live
• Nothing in the logs points to an error or solution
  Unfortunately this means I can't see things like alerts during stream which is a bit of an issue! Any ideas on what else I could try?

@fleet plank Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

in that case, the twitter API is being limited right now and is not allowing us to grab tweets. Also just to be safe, you can try and use the capitalization of your account, eg KeiZar instead of keizar as an example

Doing this actually fixes the problem with custom bot not being able to be connected, thank you!

Another issue occurring quite often is that the custom bot stops responding and obs needs to be closed and reopened or the bot even reconnected to start working again. I guess some kind of tokens/sessions expire in that case? Is that something that can be actually fixed/is being looked into?

@hidden kiln If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

It's an odd issue and I'm not sure if the dev members have fully been able to debug it.

but; if i were to guess. i think you are correct, there could be a mix up with the refresh token and it getting out of sync

HI I have a twitch account with stream elements. I am setting up a youtube account and have accidentally created this in stream elements. I wanted to merge my original twitch with my new youtube. Is there anyway to unlink the new youtube stream elements account and then add these 2 togthere?

• Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member

@last aspen The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

So what happened was all the timers were set how I wanted them, all of them if you just look at the timer page looks fine. HOWEVER if you clicked on the individual boxes one of them for some reason had two boxes ticked for messages, the second box, one that I couldn't see without opening up each individual bot... well that box was the issue

One of them had a message added to the timer that said Response Message. You can't see it from the timer page, if you just glance over them you have to click on the them like you are going to edit them that other one to show up.

Thought I would let you guys know what it was since I had figured it out. That way if someone else comes in with the same issue and they can't find it you can let them know how to fix it easy. 🙂
