Good evening.
I recently made the switch to StreamElements and I was very happy about the feature, that chatcommands via SE-Bot can be posted with my Twitch-Account.
The first day this worked without problems but the day after the SE-Bot just doesn't want to send commands over my Account. If I put it back to default StreamElements it works but I want it to use my Emotes without gifting him a sub every month.
What is the problem here and how do i fix it?

As far as im aware, Importing to SE overlay wise requires a overlay import link maybe @viscid pebble will have a better idea.

"1) Right click on your OBS desktop shortcut and open the Properties
2) In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
3) Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4) Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5) Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6) Navigate to the Console tab
7) Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8) Try setting the custom bot name
9) Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties."

hi i hope this is the right place to put this, apologies if it isn't, but im making all my alerts custom but when i go to emulate them some of them don't update to my changes. the follow alert and the tip alert are working fine but the subscriber alert and cheer alert have not changed when emulated. im not sure what to do or how to get the changes to update

Yeah, you can change the language for bot also for the dashboard, I'm a translating the StreamElements, i know the default commands response are translated and added, but the modules are not implemented right now.

@remote basalt Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

@quiet edge If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.

Hello guys and gals. Can someone pls help me? Yesterday I've done my streaming with no issues, low CPU usage (about 16% at 60 fps) using my streaming PC and Elgato capture card. The encoder is using my GTX 1060 6GB VRAM and the processor is a I54440 with 8gb ram. Today I was going to stream again and I've notice an anormal usage of CPU by Streamelements... nothing was modified, as my pc streaming is used only for that purpose. Tried to figure out the problem, but no clue. Also lowered the Streamelents resolutions and the CPU usage still very high. Enclosed please find some images. Thanks in advance for the kind attention

ah oka, then yes set a base resolution on SE with 1280 x 720, and make sure the images are of 720p quality, if you use 1080p images you run into the arguement of if its worth down scaling them, as if you throw a 1080p image on a 720p overlay on SE, its still technically loading a 1080p resolution file even though rendering down to 720p still costing resources (if this makes sence) Me and @charred quartz was talking about this earlier

You can create counters to handle things like that, but having them interact with on-screen text isn't native and might require some outside searching. So this is what i was talking about earlier, your using a theme which is built with 1920x1080 resolution images, you may as well not downscale and just resize the canvas in OBS, its super weird but essentially you wouldnt save much resources by sitting there for an hour re scaling everything, as those base images are still 1920x1080p

ik a streamer that does have streamelements as a mod and the loyalty settings are enabled but when hes live the watchtime command didnt work, just said 0 seconds
Notes: he doesnt have any commands related to points enabled. but i do too, and it works for me

@scenic dust The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Something must have went wrong when importing them from SLABS (no surprises there) but the weirdest thing is that i am using a widget that rotates between my top 10 tippers of all time. There everything seems to be just fine but when looking into my revenue history, theres all kinds of wrong stuff going on 😄 for example duplicate names in the list, instead of them merging together (something i could live with) but the weirdest thing is a different nickname is displayed on the spot #1.. The spam filter in the bot dashboard has a few options, but I don't believe there is a 100% guarantee. I would look into the paragraph and symbol options.

The emulated sound only plays through the webpage or through the obs that you use. If you're looking at your channel on your phone while it's offline, the emulated sounds will not play there.

If you can hear the sound on your vods, it's probably just the volume that it plays at during stream. Sometimes what's a normal volume in your headset comes across as low on stream aha

@jagged ether Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Alerts from Twitch have their own queue, Facebook and Youtube also have their own queue, meaning alerts between the platforms do not share the same queue.

4. Start OBS.Live

Hi everyone! I have a big issue with streamelements. I have all my alerts and commands with streamlabs, but I enabled loyalty points with streamelements because it really is better and easier.
Few days ago any loyalty command on streamelements stopped working. I removed streamelements from channel and then add it again: then all commands started working (!top, !top points, !points) but ONLY offstream!
But of course I've enabled it for both "online" and "offline" :sob:
Everytime I start a live on twitch only the first command during the live (yesterday was !points, for example) works, and then all the commands/notifications with streamelements stop working... Can you please help me?

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

@nocturne junco If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

If Chrome renders a black screen, then the transparency of the file is not set properly

usually the black screen happens when using a browser that is not Chromium based.

but in this case, most likely the file it self is not rendered properly

do note that converting a .mp4 file to .webm will not fix this issue

so it needs to be exported as a .mov and then converted to .webm

or exported directly from your rendering software as .webm

1. Go to Stream Store page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/store/items
2. Add an item that has these settings on it:

• Stream Perk
• Loyalty settings to your desire
• (Next step) Add contents (image and/or sound you want to play)
• "Redeeming this item shows an alert
• Redemable via chat
• Skip Requirements

3. Get the item name/command from the 2nd creation page
4. Go to commands page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/commands/custom
5. Add command with desired name and have response for command as: ${redeem item_name_here}
6. Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.
7. Click on "widgets" and add "Store redemptions" widget. Click save and you should be golden.
8. Test your own command in chat and have OBS or editor open to hear sound

Our system for the store redemption is a bit different. You can make the item redemption widget empty and it will still play sounds - just no alert since it is missing both text and file for the alert.

This is a workaround if you want to only have audio from the item store.

@harsh mason If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

You can change the whole overlay to be in turkish. We only create english overlays and the editor is english aswell currently.

I don't want the events list, but I feel there should be a label that shows latest sub, but if someone gifts x amount of subs, it should change to this

Then if someone just normal subs after, it should change to "latest subscriber: Barry" and then to "Barry has gifted x10 subs" etc etc

You can create a custom widget to do this. The basic widgets do not show that, outside of the event list.

Workaround: set the event list to 1 line, adjust the design and set it to subs only.

Paypal is email based, so there is no way to avoid the email being shared. Just like you can't call a phone number if you do not know it 🙂

Make a business Paypal account so it does not show your name, this is what we recommend.

@toxic spruce if a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification. Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money
