@lament blade If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hi there folks, I'm just trying to setup obs.live/streamelements for the first time. I made an overlay and can hear the sound for alerts in the browser when testing. However when looking at obs or doing a recording, I can only see the alerts, but not hear them. Is there something I need to do to hear them through obs? I tried doing "control audio via obs" but there's still no sound?

not sure what to change then.. in windows my headphones are default, in OBS my headphones are the only selected ones.. can't even see the volume bar for overlay moving when sound is supposed to play :/

that's how it looks when i do a test alert from the browser.. so sound works, but it's coming from my browser of course where I have the overlay editor open, not from the overlay source in OBS

If you're using Ground Control, then you should go into the settings, remove the JWT token, and repaste it in from your account.

@fallow galleon 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue: Your Twitch and StreamElements accounts are linked and you are clicked to post to Twitter when your stream goes live..... but then there is no message anywhere.

Maybe this is new or something because its the 1st time I ever went live when the box is checked to "Tweet when you go live" but it did not tweet when I went live.

My total sub count is wrong, it says 3, but I know it's 44 from checking on Twitch. I know SE is connected to my Twitch account ok because all the "session data" is there and it has the names of my latest followers and subs, and when I add the "top gifter" label, it's right. But yeah, "Total Subscribers" label just says 3, which is definitely wrong. Any suggestions?

I'm having some trouble figuring out why follows are not coming through to my Activity Feed. It is not filtered out, I have disconnected and reconnected SE to Twitch. Follows are still happening in my Twitch dashboard but I have not seen follows come through to my SE dashboard for an entire week. All other events still come through, bits, tips, subs, raids etc. Just follows seem to be missing.

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

The other thing that can affect delay is your upload speed and general connection to the twitch server

I've never heard anyone report something similar with overlays and delay in stream. Unless you mean other type of delay (like actually loading the overlay)

@raw basin You can't go over the 500 character limit as that is the hard limit of chat symbols for Twitch, meaning that even if you use the random variable the limit won't be lifted.

So I was wondering about this for a few weeks at this point and never really ... asked anyone about it

I got a Host / Raid variation for one specific user that I want to have shown no matter how many people they're hosting me with.
Now, when they are hosting with 0 people (as in, they were offline and just manually host me), the alert is not playing at all, despite me having set the "Minimum amount" to 0 (Where it mentions Amount of 0 will show all alerts)

Why could that be?

Was it ever up for consideration to show a host alert variation for a specific user even when they have 0 viewers? (offline host, so to say)

There's also another API endpoint - to list all current hosts. It is able to grab this list every few seconds and compare it against previously fetched if there are differences. But it is not 100% reliable and could cause a big load

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

To reset goals:

from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

My briefing says 10-15 min and the preset was 5 min...I know I asked if I could bump the timer up away from 5 min already but after seeing this I wanted to ask again. I want to make sure we make our goal and I know my community and they would be turned off by that too fast of a timer. Since the briefing I was sent says 10-15 may I change it to 15 min?

@runic bolt Become a regular member of a community, show that you're trustworthy, never ask to be a mod and maybe some day a streamer will hand you the sword.

@modern socket Disable hardware acceleration. Click the settings button a few buttons below "Start Streaming" go to advanced and uncheck/check browser source acceleration. Whatever it is now, make it the opposite.

@drifting mica Check the margins of the text in the alert you're modifying. The text is probably either too high or too low and appearing outside of your alertbox.

@balmy wadi Cheer and sub alerts have multiple variation, be sure that you're modifying the variations as well because they will override the base settings depending on the parameters set.

@prime jewel Put a link in either a timer or command, make sure that "Block Hyperlinks" is disabled in your TWITCH DASHBOARD and mod the StreamElements bot.

OK so @modern socket 1) The alertbox isn't going to show anything unless an alert is actually happening. 2) The same could be said about your chatbox too depending on your specific aesthetic choices. Say a bunch of things your chat, do you see them in OBS?

OK, that's more of an OBS and/or file and/or source path issue then a specific StreamElements issue as it's not being worked through the SE Overlay or OBS.Live so what I would suggest is to verify the pathing is correct, make sure none of those sources above "SS Background" are blocking it, try out the OBS Discord for additional suggestions or maybe one of my fellows here might have another suggestion.

What? No, I'm just saying I don't see anybody having tried to run the commands to check since you set it up but I do see that there are people on your leaderboard. They're called Channel Points @true dagger - kind of the same concept as loyalty points. Viewers earn them for being in your stream and they can do things with them.

@lament blade If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

So I am having a bit of trouble... Using OBS.live to stream Warzone and I just cannot seem to get the FPS I should be getting. I’ve got a 3070, a Ryzen 3600x, and 16 gigs of 3200Mhz RAM. But on average when I’m streaming I’m sitting at around 70-80FPS... Does anyone know what settings I can modify to help bring those values up a bit? Maybe I’m just expecting too much, idk.

@midnight verge Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

hey i have like two issues i want to fix. one being that my stream bot isnt displaying my custom name i have for it anymore. and i realized that on the se website that my tipping process wasnt completed anymore. so i completed it again and i cant get the custom bot name option on ground control. my other issue is that my in chat notifs arent popping up. i noticed this last night when someone followed but i didnt know till i checked my activity feed when i finished streaming.

Text not showing up over your alerts? Go to the Advanced Text Settings and set the top margin to 50, you can work your way to the right position from there.

hello ^^ I'd like to ask a question regarding points import from ankhbot/streamlabs.
At present, it is only possible to export the old Ankhbot points from the bot, and not the current streamlabs extension points. For me this mean the points I can export are like 2 years behind on the real numbers.
According to people in the streamlabs Discord server, it would technically be possible to use the streamlabs API and "some other software" to still get the points out, but there was no readymade example on how to do that.
I have zero experience with API, and have no clue how I would do this.
Does anyone here perhaps have experience on how to get the points into streamlabs?

I can click in the text box where you specify the font name, but when I type, nothing appears in the box.

oh and btw the custom named bot just stops working every so often (default streamelements bot still works). I've tried parting/rejoining and re-logging in and the custom bot just work for like less then 5 mins then goes dead again

I thought it was just me. But I'm having the same issue. All Streamelements overlays not showing in OBS (with and without hardware Acceleration in the advance settings.)
