Someone's raided for 16 and it's shown as a host. one viewer said it's happened in other streamer's channel too so i thought it was a bug.

@vestal void If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Account Merging - Please note:

Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member.

okay im not sure if you can help or not, but i am moving my alertbox from streamlabs, and i want to remake it in custom css, but there is no documentation, and i dont understand how i can get my uploaded images and sounds into the css instead of this dancing shark... like i could upload the images to imgur or whatever... but..... shouldn't i just be able to use the one i uploaded to streamlabs? it seems like that should be possible?

@lament blade Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

When I go to my dashboard I see all of this? It also happens when I go to edit my alerts/overlays. Is there any way to fix this? I am using Chrome.

Idk if this is a twitch or obs issue but whenever I actually show the media request on stream, it doubles the audio. It's fine whenever it's not on stream and it's playing using the extension in the background etc. but for some reason whenever I show it to the stream it just sounds doubled.

@lament blade If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

This may be a dumb question, but is there a doc one the different options for the standard commands that come with the Streamelements bot? For example, I'm trying to update the user level for a using "!cmd options shoutout -level moderator", but I get a response from the bot stating "Valid flags: -cd (number) -usercd (number) -cost (number) -level (number) -type (say, whisper or reply) -count (number) -enable -disable". So I see the correct format, but I don't know what numbers correspond to what level

I changed my name on Twitch, ever since the name change, none of my alerts are activating on stream since the name change and when I go to edit my overlays through OBS.Live StreamElements Overlay Editor it says Uh Oh, Invalid Authorization Token. What do I have to do to get it to pick up my donations, alerts, bits, hosts, etc under my new changed channel name

@lofty leaf If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hey all hoping someone can help me. I tried to set up giveaways today and set up "send confirmation when buying tickets via chat" and ticketcost i set to 0 (i even tried adding a ticket cost). i hit create and start my viewers wrote !ticket 1 but none of them showed up nor did they get any confirmation in chat :S the bot has mod rights on the channel. Anyone that knows what Im doing wrong? 😦

I have been having a problem with the ExtraLife alert notification noise for over a week now. There is a sound bit playing that has been removed from every single ExtraLife overlay element, and I have even removed the sound bit entirely from StreamElements, yet it still plays when I get a donation or I emulate it. @vestal marsh Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. Firefox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins are blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in a incognito tab.

@signal crater That's the expected behavior on OBS, since the ovarlays are browser sources, he need to add his own overlays into OBS (another browser source) but with the logout and login, he will see his chat.

And about the browser itself make sure to have his account logged on twitch.tv cause the login page of streamelements will get the details information of the account logged on twitch.tv

Good morning all. I have a issue with my donation link and notifications. So the issue is this. One of my viewers has donated once and the notification worked for that. He has since donated another 2 times and there are no records of them in the log or on the notification or overlay. However the donation has come through on PayPal. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Hey, I've been trying to switch all my stuff over to Stream Elements. So far it's all going smooth, but I'm having trouble getting my event list working correctly. My mod/coder/BF has been trying to help me edit it from StreamLabs, but he's self taught so we're having a little difficulty. Not sure if anyone can point us in the right direction, I see others adding images, so this is what I'm trying to get to work in Stream Elements

We've tried that. However, copy and pasting the elements doesn't seem to do anything. The best I've been able to get is a completely squished version of my background panel, on the far left. We can't figure out how to get the image to be the entire panel, or how to set a custom background image

And is there any way to see what the link is for images I've uploaded? I can't seem to find that on stream elements, in order to manually change the image

All it does if I change the background image, is change the image on the left that is beside the name, I can't figure out how to change the entire background

I figured out, Sort of, how to change the background of the entire thing, but I can't make it a different background for each type of event. If anyone even just had an example somewhere of this, and I could pick apart the CSS from the example. Where each type of event has a completely different background, but no "side image", like in my example above

I had a few questions about the level system in the dashboard. How long does it take a viewer to level up? can this be changed? Does the level cap at 99 for the "everyone" class, or can viewers level up on their own to reach higher classes, such as "regular" or "moderator"

@gleaming heath Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

You have 2 options.
!redeem namegoeshere requires the redeem command to be enabled. Simply add the name of the redeemable item.
${redeem namegoeshere} is custom command with the same thing but as the command response instead.

If you want to use your own emotes in messages, you have to gift the bot a sub. A bot is a normal user like you and me without any special abilities from Twitch's side.

@ornate zinc If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

i can't get groundcontrol to open at all. i click to open it, and it shows it opening, but the window appears nowhere on my pc, and it doesn't bring up any kind of interface, even though it shows it is open. i've uninstalled it and reinstalled it a few times, just to see if that was the problem, but it didn't fix it. does anyone know the solution to said problem?

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

@lament blade How to separate Media Request (MR) audio in OBS:
(Please follow one of the steps for your set up)

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
Tick the box for Control audio via OBS https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/712428275049431120/716618713998033047/unknown.png
Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

It is currently not possible to separate audio for yourself and stream if you ALSO want to show the video in OBS.
The only way to do this would be to follow the last set of instructions above and then use Window Capture on GC or Chrome.

Hey there, just a little question to the command !viewtime: command settings use are set for everyone, but if a normal twitch user executes this command, then the bot is viewing 0 minutes viewtime, if a subscriber uses the command !viewtime, then the bot shows more than 0 minutes has anyone an idea?

@elder lynx 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

Hello! And sorry for bad English.
First problem.
Now I have 3 items in my StreamElements store.
For each of them, need to make 20-60 different gif alert variations.
How can I do that?
Overlay editor does not have "variations settings" or "custom CSS" for store redemption alert box.
Second problem.
The gif animation is played from a random time, but I need it from the beginning.
How to fix this? Or is it possible to change gif to video on the alert?

we can't set variations in the redemption widget. if you set the item to be a 'stream perk', you can set the alert in the its settings [in the store].
about the gif\video playing - those should usually play from the start. have you fiddled with settings?

@silent ivy Due to a recent change from Twitch API, these features are affected by the change:

Ground Control does not have Custom Bot name
Subscriber count will count the Channel and any other permanent sub you may have (+1 or +2 or +3 on top).

We are working on fixing both issues, but there is no ETA. OBS.Live still has Custom Bot name working fine in it.

I get these nice stream summary mails after every stream. Now I saw, that the graph with the viewer numbers is one hour longer than the stream.
But shows still viewes. The stream lastet 3:30 but it shows 4:30. Why? (Yes, it really were 3:30 and yes, I really were offline). Thanks!

@queen wasp If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello, I am using StreamElement on my stream. I configured the "Caps Protection" to suppress the message. However, while testing I have a major problem.

The moderation action is double displayed "You have been banned from this channel for 1 second." . In addition, the personalized message that I put is not displayed to the viewer.

Has anyone ever had this concern? How to solve it?

For Prime Gaming, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. @round bramble the problem is that the activity feed and the dashboard still dont kknow I got 2 subs but my twitch activity does. my friend doesnt have prime gaming either and his subs show up on the activity feed.. I didnt realize I got subscribed to until later because not even the alerts were working

A streamer I mod for changed their name on twitch recently, and their AlertBox is no longer showing alerts (e.g. if I raid her channel it doesn't play the alert) - if I run a test alert in the overlay however it does play on stream. Anyone have any advice?

I have been having a problem with the ExtraLife alert notification noise for over a week now. There is a sound bit playing that has been removed from every single ExtraLife overlay element, and I have even removed the sound bit entirely from StreamElements, yet it still plays when I get a donation or I emulate it. from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

@faint frost If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@potent glade 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

Morning everyone. I tried adding some sound files and did everything according to how other streamers have done (I shared screen to share with other streamer who confirmed he did it that way and it works for him) but when ppl write the !redeem {command} it doesnt work. It says in chat they redeemed it but doesnt play the sound. Also i lowered the sound to 30% but when i play it manually it plays it 100% volume anyway (yes i saved the settings) and deafens everyone including me 😣 any tips?

3) Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4) Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5) Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6) Navigate to the Console tab
7) Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8) Try setting the custom bot name
9) Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

@round bramble Unable to add the "Remote-Debugging" portion to the end of my target field. anytime I try to apply the change, I receive an invalid target access change notification. I've also uninstalled & reinstalled OBS.Live

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

You can add, remove and make changes to custom commands in chat with !command/!cmd flags:

!command add (commandname) (commandresponse) - allows you **to add **a new custom command
!command remove (commandname) - allows you to delete a custom command
!command edit (commandname) (commandresponse) - allows you to edit an existing custom command
!command show (commandname) - allows you to see the raw response of a command before variables are used
!command options (commandname) -(flag) - allows you to change settings for an existing custom command

Valid flags for !cmd options include: -enable -disable -cd (number in seconds) -usercd (number in seconds) -cost (number) -level (number) -type (say, whisper or reply) -count (number)

Syntax example: !cmd options twitter -usercd 60 -type reply -level 250
