@placid robin If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Not using a custom Bot name and a staffmember has like reset the bot in chat once before but it keeps breaking everytime I start a new stream up

Ill try make a custom bot and see if that works though

@dark thorn You can set a different image and sound for each redemption store and as long as you have the redemption widget in the overlay, and set the items to stream perk, the different sound and iamge will show up, rather then the default redemption widget assets.

I have created two alerts and so I have two URLs and when I put both URLs in the browser source and I buy an item, both alerts appear at the same time @zenith widget

If I buy item A, the alert from item B of another item will also go off.
So I end up with two alerts poping up on the stream.

As for changing the name of the BOT, is it mandatory to use OBS LIVE and/or to have the box alerts? I use everything else and I don't have the option. I have logged in my twitch BOT account and copied the code to ground control. I have also restarted but the option is not displayed.

Hello there. I’m new to speedrunning and all of the technical part of these sites and apps. Does anyone know how to get LiveSplit into OBS? I tried adding a window capture, but it was confusing to me. Also, I am trying to add a custom alert via stream elements to OBS, but it wouldn’t let me preview it properly and I don’t understand why it won’t move over to OBS either. Can anyone help with that? In ground control we have the possibility to put a name to the bot, so I figured it would change the name of the bot on the stream

That field is more or less a place holder.

The chat bot that is going to be active is going to be taken from the oauth token you place

Ground Control will not literally change our bot's name, but will simulate the authenticated account

and act as the bot

in your channel

if your desktop audio is muted then there will be no alert sounds.

right click browser overlay > properties > select "control audio via obs"

edit > advanced audio
set the overlay to "monitor only"

make sure the browser source is also on track 1

test that, if it doesnt work let me know

2) Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.

(Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+)

@strange hearth Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have Overlays over your console gameplay.

can someone tell me if there is a way to set the user level of a command from the chat area of Twitch without having to actually log in to streamelements itself? i created a command for a channel that i'm a super mod on and need to set the 'user level' on it

You can add, remove, and make changes to custom commands in chat with !command/!cmd flags:

!command add (commandname) (commandresponse) allows you to add a new custom command
!command remove (commandname) allows you to delete a custom command
!command edit (commandname) (commandresponse) allows you to edit an existing custom command
!command show (commandname) allows you to see the raw response of a command before variables are used
!command options (commandname) -(flag) allows you to change settings for an existing custom command

• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you loose followers/subs.

Renaming the command to !followag works perfectly. There's a 2nd followage command in the default list that's disabled and is set to show account creation date

1. To use OBS.Live
2. To have the bot modded and in the channel
3. Have a tipping page with SE linked to a panel on your Twitch profile
4. Have an overlay made (from the dashboard > My overlays)

At that point you can set the bot to use your account by following these steps:
In OBS.Live navigate to the Activity Feed panel > menu icon on the top left > Stream Settings > scroll down to 'Custom bot name' >
Change 'current bot name' to your account > "Save" > "Send test message" to see if it's working.

Then the bot will be able to post the same emotes you are usually using (other channel sub emotes, BTTV, FFZ)

Is there a problem with the timer?
I put 30 lines in the timer to activate the message timer in five minutes. Yesterday we did the test, and it sent the message after 30 seconds. Why did he do that? I'm having trouble setting the timer. I did the test again earlier, I set one message to 0 lines and 5 minutes and another message to 0 lines and 10 minutes. He didn't want to send the 10 minutes message (I waited 30 minutes) but only sent the 5 mins message and that's all he did.
I did another test again, putting 0 lines and 10 minutes, and he sent the messages after 4H...

Emulating alerts can make the label widgets show random numbers and its just a side effect. Click save on the overly and refresh the apge and it will fix it self.

@dark thorn If you place 5 line requirment for a timer, there is an internal/hidden timer of around 5 minutes that COUNTS for those lines. If the lines are counted, the hidden timer is reset and the actual TIMER you've set is triggered.

Hi, wondering if someone can help, i mod for a streamer, and he has changed to StreamElements, i have managed to move all his command to SE but there is one that we need that i cant move over from nightbot. This is the command (It counts down to Tuesday each week, so if ran now it would let you how long till next Tuesday 5PM)

@ebon fulcrum If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again
