I can't use the respective widgets as the set up of my streamlabs overlay does not correspond on the online dashboard. Ie, camera frames are too small, other frames are too big. So i managed to import it locally but the widgets are now the problem. Hope that makes sense!

So my question initially was whether I could fade out the alert box after it had been pinged, as it left a black box after playing, before revealing my logo. The short answer from what I can tell is no. You can not. Especially if the alert itself is custom made. DESPITE having a transparent background on After Effects, when the alert animation is triggered, it will play and leave a black box behind the alert before disappearing. I don't know if anyone here is technical enough to know why, or has any knowledge on After Effect animation, but unless there is a transition that can be applied before and after an alert is triggered, it can not be helped, unless someone knows different.

🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@sacred hamlet Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

There have been times when my alerts don't work properly during a stream. Such as the sound won

..the sound won't work, won't work altogether, or it won't display something like latest follower. I always test my alerts before my streams to make sure they wok properly. But why do they then have random issues during live streams?

Help? There have been times when my alerts don't work properly during a stream. Such as the sound won't work, won't work altogether, or it won't display something like latest follower. I always test my alerts before my streams to make sure they wok properly. But why do they then have random issues during live streams?

I have a question about Kappagen: I'm using StreamElements overlays, and I want to enable Subscriber Only use of on-screen chat emotes (via Kappagen). This appears to work fine for Tier 1 subs, but it does not work with my Tier 3. If I uncheck "Subscribers only", my Tier 3 sub's emotes suddenly show up. Does Kappagen not recognize T2-T3 subs? Hi everyone. I am having an issue with my OBS (Mac v25) not wanting to play the overlays that I am making in SE. They make fine and preview fine but when I add them as a browser source it freezes in OBS and also on the SE preview. I have to resave and refresh to make the preview play again but it still won't work in OBS. I've worked on it for 10 days and I've struck out every where and was pointed to SE by OBS saying it may be an issue on that end. NOt sure, I am just looking to see what I should do or look at next?

Dropped Frames usually means that you have a bad connection with the streaming service(Twitch/Youtube/Mixer/Facebook) and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If it says unstable, then there is some instability between you and the twitch server.

OBS is very sensitive to these things and most likely can be adjusted/fixed by the above guide that was linked.

Folk in my chat are getting a watch time of 0 seconds every time the command is used. I’ve turned loyalty settings on, so I’m not sure why it keeps saying 0.

@jovial yacht 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

FireFox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins are blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in a incognito tab.

The option for viewers to write messages with celebration of their anniversary is a native Twitch feature. Have them refresh their browser if it isn't appearing.

As far as StreamElements picking up the celebration and acknowledging the resub, that would be in the variation settings for resubscriptions.

But if the base problem is them not having the option to do so, all I can recomend is that they refresh.

hello, trying to set up the media request for viewers to request songs to hear played, its linked to the stream and everything but when i request a song it just adds it to queue and when i skip to play a song, no sound comes out

I have a question about Kappagen: I want to enable Subscriber Only use of on-screen chat emotes (via Kappagen). This appears to work fine for Tier 1 subs, but it does not work with my Tier 3. If I uncheck "Subscribers only", all emotes show up (including those selected by my T3), but I don't want everyone's emotes to show. I just want subs to have access to this feature, but I want all subs to access it not just T1. Does Kappagen not recognize T2-T3 subs? Or am I missing something? Help would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time! (I don't mean to spam this, but I can't find if anyone has responded to me and I don't think anyone has @ me yet - I hope this is okay to repost.)

it seemed the stream started regularly as per usual.. but then i check my twitch, and at first it was picture of a disconnect emoji "notlikethis", and 2 min later the stream would go offline by itself, while on stream elements it still says to me i'm streaming.. And now on my twitch channel it says "there was error with this broadcast" and i can't get stream going .. no way

@fleet halo If you changed your name on Twitch please follow these steps:
🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Weird question, but I have a custom bot name and I have one of my commands set to a keyword and basically whenever someone types the keyword, the bot responds to that person but then the bot also responds to itself. is there a way to fix this?

Can you make overlays scene specific in OBS? Like can i have an overlay without a chatbox when i change scenes in OBS?

You can multiple overlays and browser sources as you need to fit your needs.

If you want a scene with no chatbox, create an overlay on StreamElements without the chatbox then add that overlay as a browser source.

Each overlay you create is unique and independent of the others.

Don't use the same overlay link on multiple scenes unless you want them to be identical.

If you're using one overlay link then it will look the same regardless of which scene you use it on.

Twitch prime (new and resub) and paid subscriptions (resub only) must be shared in chat manually by the person subscribing in order for the subscription information to be sent to StreamElements. For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification. Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money.

Make sure there is spacing between all of the links.

Some streamers use | to seperate them but a regular old space will do.
