Hi there, I was wondering if there is a way to have a command in twitch chat where they do somenthing like "!scream" and They can set off a sound which screams for a jump scare?

Steps to make a command trigger sound on stream:

1. Go to Stream Store page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/store/items
2. Add an item that has these settings on it:

• Stream Perk or Sound
• Loyalty settings to your desire
• (Next step) Add contents (image and/or sound you want to play)
• "Redeeming this item shows an alert
• Redemable via chat
• Skip Requirements

3. Get the item name/command from the 2nd creation page
4. Go to commands page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/commands/custom
5. Add command with desired name and have response for command as: ${redeem item_name_here}
6. Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.
7. Click on "widgets" and add "Store redemptions" widget. Click save and you should be golden.
8. Test your own command in chat and have OBS or editor open to hear sound

@mighty fern When you select a layer in the overlay editor and press the copy symbol in the layers tab, you can coose to duplicate the widget to the same overlay, or choose another overlay you want to have it duplicated to.

Try the action again that gave the error and note in the network tab any red text. Please copy and paste the error information that is given when clicking on this red text.

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

Is there a way to force the Ground Control setup steps to complete? sure, @twin sentinel , to summarize: I looked at the "Size" of my overlay in StreamElements overlay editor, which said 571 by 271 (rounded). It wasn't appearing in my OBS view when I emulated a follower. I had the size of my Browser capture in OBS set to 571 by 271. I had the thought to increate the width of the browser capture in my OBS to 1000ish, and emulated an alert again, then suddenly I saw part of the alert show up. I increased the size more to show the whole alert and centered it on my screen to finish. I am using the premade "Blue Metropolis Colored Alerts" theme

small question, when using the overlay creator and adding it to the capturing software, its always the entire size of the screen. would it be possible to have one the size of a single widget instead, so i can drag around the widget mid-stream as opposed to having to drag a giant window and hopping the widget will line up right?

• Ground Control does not have Custom Bot Name
• Subscriber count will count the Channel and any other permanent sub you may have (+1 or +2 or +3 on top).
  We are working on fixing both issues, but there is no ETA.
  OBS.Live still has Custom Bot name working fine in it.

If you didn't log out and log back in after you affiliated but before you received the subs, then StreamElements didn't know to look for them. Twitch doesn't just announce when you become an affiliate; refreshing the connection via logging out and back in lets the system recognize the change.

@tall laurel The import will not finish if your assets are too large or if they're Streamlabs-owned assets. Also note the import doesn't put them into OBS. It uploads them to your account on the site.

🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hi everyone. I am still unable to add another custom bot account to StreamElements, even after the update. Is this a known issue or am I just being extremely unlucky? It goes through the authorization, but it doesn't add the account.

@boreal jungle 1) Right click on your OBS desktop shortcut -> properties - in the "Target" field add this -> --remote-debugging-port=40404
2) Open OBS(or restart if it was open)
3) Open your browser and type in "localhost:40404"
4) Click on "StreamElements - Activity feed"
5) navigate to the Console tab
6) type in the console this: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration() and hit enter
7) Try setting the custom bot name

yea that "you must be subscriber" as a subscriber issue is a big ugh, no point in using redeem store sub only with that bug, shouldnt make people sign in streamelements to make it work either

seems to trigger the global cooldown or the user cooldown as well when it fails

@ivory oriole There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security
WARNING: In submitting a closure request you will delete both linked accounts and loose all data from both accounts. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data(tips, subs, etc). You can still relogin with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

yea me a dev life, just curious its a very odd situation that seems to be remedied easily but who knows the amount of slam requests with all the streamelements use haha , word tho , hope it gets fixed

the idea is > chat command > streamelements receive > streamelements lookup on command to see the perms > then if its sub only > check perm of user if sub > then release that gif for success use

its failing somewhere in that chain

if not more in that chain, but the idea of the basics is probably there

I have a problem when people redeem sound effects, the item redeemption doesn't show up on screen? Emulating works fine?

Is it saying, alerts don't work for sound effects but other item?

Right now, I just redeemed a sound effect --- No alert notificate - Item redeemed by user
