remove the alert widget from any other overlay

add that alert widget only overlay to OBS as a separate browser source -> right it it afterwards -> copy -> go to other scenes -> paste as reference

that way alerts will not be cut off in case they start playing while switching scenes

and you won't need to copy the alert widget every time

@spring kiln If your alert widget is 500x500 sized, its best to edit the overlay to be instead the default 1080p -> 500x500

to check the size of the alert widget, click on it -> position and size

also make sure the alert widget is positioned in 0 top 0 left

then that resolution is in the browser source

@round void Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All manual host events (0 hosts included and if filter set to 0)
• All hosts coming from an online channel. If the hosting channel has been offline, we do not show it
• All auto host events with at least 1 viewer
  Note: An offline host is when you see "X channel has just hosted you" - with no viewer numbers on the back

Hi there -- I just noticed that when I add a phrase to the "banned phrases" section of spam filters and the phrase has an apostrophe mark the bot does not time it out. For example, if I have "i'm live" and "im live" both set to be banned words, the bot only times out the "im live" and not the "i'm live" with the apostrophe. Can I fix this somehow?

10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly. There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points. It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time. Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

I had to switch completely to stream elements. Already for months. Problem but are my alerts.
I have self-made alerts. For example, if you need a hosting alert, the viewer and host name are separated. See image.
At Tippeeestream this is possible.
For stream elements, I think so synonymous but only about CSS.
And I know only little about CSS.
Is there perhaps an update to this alert box from the stream elements? That one has more possibilities there? I have asked the question a few months ago. 😃

Hello, I keep having a couple (random) issues with alerts. Particularly host alerts. I set to host alert to trigger zero vs one - http://prntscr.com/opn2ff it triggers sometimes but not other times & I do not know why. It does show up in chat just not the alert sound itself - again sometimes it does & sometimes it doesn't. Also, I am getting at times double alerts - what I mean is I have a custom sound associated with alerts, I get the sound 2xs like an echo - only sometimes not everytime.

Hello, sorry to repost but this section moves fast. When I add a phrase to the "banned phrases" section of spam filters and the phrase has an apostrophe mark the bot does not time it out. For example, if I have "i'm live" and "im live" both set to be banned words, the bot only times out the "im live" and not the "i'm live" with the apostrophe. Can I fix this somehow?
"i'm live" still sets off the "Test Phrases", but the bot does not time it out

There is a command for the chat called "!addpoints" which is disabled. I would strongly recommend enabling the command and using that to cheat points in your pocket

as you can tab complete names

and so on.

In short, the name on top is a wrong name that might not even exist as a Twitch username

I tweeted that when viewers use the HOST option , no alerts was being active and the reply I got was - "if the hosting stream was offline, an alert will not play" the viewer is active and watching the stream, why would they need to be LIVE for it to work, plus if they were live they can not host as they are already using there channel where the hosting channel would show..........

In general, the sub must be shared in chat. Twitch doesn't send the information through their API so the chat's the only place we can get it from.

I am trying to figure out how to add an already existing Alert Box setup that I get from using an Auto Setup URL into a custom overlay so that I don't have to have a second browser source for each of my scenes just to have it in OBS.

The Auto Setup URL is from an asset pack from Nerd Or Die.

Or do I just have to take the video asset for each alert and make each alert myself along with trying to do the custom text and font for each myself so that it looks the same?

Many Nerd or Die offerings have instructions for installing in StreamElements. If not, then they haven't adapted that package yet, and it'll take some manual coding edits to make it compatible.

well it works fine if I use the URL, and it makes an alert box in SE but it is made up to be it's own overlay with it's own browser source URL, but I don't want to have more than one browser source in each of my scenes in OBS (one for overlay and one for alert box) and would like to integrate it into my existing custom overlay

Hey, guys had a quick question that I'm hoping one of you can help with. I just set up the tipping part of the setup the other day. Got my first tip that same night. Issue is, in revenue history he is nowhere to be found. I only see it pending when I open up my paypal but not the message he left either. A little more info I stream directly from console and don't use obs but that shouldn't matter should it? All the other things I've set up seem to work fine

If it's still pending in PayPal, then the payment may have been held for verification. PayPal does that sometimes. Once they release the payment, then the confirmation should come through and it'll appear in your revenue history. But the transaction is all PayPal; StreamElements is a passthrough service and isn't involved in the transaction itself.

Alright. So Orsuna and I figured it out... Those using the Linux-OBS-Browser for Linux OBS Studio HAVE to use .webm for the format.

When working with PayPal, what happens is the info is passed along, they process the payment, and send a confirmation. When they hold the payment for whatever reason, their system doesn't send us back the confirmation, which is why nothing plays until it's cleared on their end.

For a shoutout command in particular, there's actually a command template available for that. So, when creating a new command, there's a dropdown menu for command templates, and you'll find the premade shoutout command in there.
