Tonight i brought 2 people into the fold, and when they set up their chat bot, it was automatically adding "!tip" to the response. obviously you can turn that command off under default, but what exactly is triggering it?

doesn't seem like something that should be on by default, especially when they don't have tipping set up yet.

They found it very off putting, and i don't blame them.

not sure I understand exactly what you are saying is happening. Like there was a command that just literally had !tip in the response, or something else? There is not a single default command that would contain the text !tip, and there is the actual !tip command that will be enabled by default, but that will only give the response when the command is used

Custom bot name requirements

• StreamElements bot modded and in chat

• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
• Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

@heady knot the easiest way to do this right now is to add your YouTube playlist to the mediarequest system as a backup playlist, disable viewer requests, and run Ground Control our desktop app

it will play the music on your computer, and the sound will go to your stream

Uhm... Odd issue here. When someone redeems an item from my S.E. store and this item has a sound file in it, it triggers like 4-5 times together at the same time and I hear the audio 4-5 times with few milliseconds from each other so it's like a very bad echo. Any idea? I don't have multiple stream pages open......... And if I test it in the store myself it's just 1 time so it's odd...

I have both a Twitch and YT account linked to StreamElements. I plan to stream to Twitch and the tipping url has a number appended to my username under Twitch but not under YouTube. Is there a way to undo that? Or is there a way to remove the YouTube account? Thanks in advance.

Hello i've had a problem with StreamElements for the last month. Multiple users can not see the StreamElements chat for roulette, slots, duels and raffles. This was sent to me by one of my viewers. As you can see in the red highlighted box, there is no reply.

1. Reinstall the twitch app
2. Remove any /me in the bot's command responses, including modules.

I just wanted help setting up alerts with OBS. everything is set up now and work as intended except for bit alerts, I can see all alerts on OBS except for bits, and on top of that, as soon as I emulate or replay a bit alert, it breaks all other alerts and they stop showing on OBS. They still show on my browser and in the layout editor on StreamElements, but they just break my OBS browser source for some reason. Any ideas? The bit alerts are the default ones, nothing costume or fancy. I also tried deleting the cache and everything, but that didn't help

If you have chat alerts on, and have store redemptions on, you would actually get 2 message in chat in that case. One from the standard store redemption, and one from the chat alert. If you disable it for chat alerts, there will still be the normal store redemption message

I connected StreamElements back in 2017 or something, and it's only displaying since Dec 4 2018. The Top Cheerers list seems to contain all my cheers, going way back, so I'm not sure why the Cheers list only shows roughly one month.

Yes. Sign out of TWITCH. Then sign out of STREAMELEMENTS. Then try to sign into STREAMELEMENTS, and it should prompt you for a login.

@lament blade Can you please provide a log from your last stream. You can find this log in " %appdata%/obs-studio/logs " OR Help > Log Files > Show Log Files. You can simply drag and drop the log file into Discord.

That log does not appear to be from a stream, need to see a log from a stream where this happened. Reinstalling probably wont help as there is probably something on your system causing OBS to disconnect from Twitch, and something like Kaspersky could be a contributing factor

@orchid dagger If you stream directly from a console, your options are very limited

Guys, who do I talk to to get a fix on the store extension?

I prepared the redeem store but nobody can use the extension to redeem anything :/

Is there some basic fix that I'm forgetting to use?

When anyone tries to redeem anything it says "Something went wrong, please try again"

The button shown in green there lets the extension connect to your Twitch account to verify you, so your points can be used. If it's not green, then it's not connected. Make sure everyone has done that.
