When you first install OBS it sets the audio devices to 'default', it's always best to make sure that you choose the correct devices yourself

I have no problem with bitsshowing up. I was wanting to see if theres anyway to havee the total bits cheerd for the month. As i stream for charity and all the bits go to charity at the end of the month. Have been manually adding them up. Just was looking for an easier solution.

When i press show on stream is fails to detect widget. It only detects it when i press show on stream and then instantly skip the song...

When you're editing the overlay you click on Widgets, they're located in there, you just need to click on Add for the relevant widget. Then it's just a case of adding that overlay to your OBS as a browser source

Hi, I'm using OBS.LIVE and starting last night my store redemptions which contain auido clips are doubling in their output and I'm not sure why. I have only one store redemption widget in my overlay and I'm not sure where else to look to solve this. Has anyone else experienced this?

You don't have to but it's an amazing plug in to use with OBS Studio! As with the Plug in you have your OBS Screen, Twitch Chat, Activity Feed all in one window. You can also change your Bot's name with that, change Title /game.

If you updated obslive, check the settings for the bot name and if they're correct and the name isnt changing try reoping obs

Custom bot name requirements
- StreamElements bot modded and in chat
- Active overlay with alerts
- StreamElements tipping page in the panels below the stream (!panels)
- Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
- Ground Control app must be running
Steps to enable custom name
- Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
- Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
- Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
- Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
- Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)
Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Hello would it be possible for someone to help me debug VST filters not showing up anymore? I had them installed and working perfectly with OBS but I just installed Stream Elements and now they don't showup in the drop-down menu at all :(

It's just so bizarre to me because I just helped my friend install them like 30 seconds ago and that's actually how I found out about Stream Elements. She used Stream Elements and I did not, so I thought I'd give it a try. I literally just helped her install the plugins on her Stream Elements OBS and it took like 3 seconds to get it working properly but I don't know why mine won't even show up. I'll try uninstalling Stream Elements

Try and do what you did on their PC. If they has OBS Studio, then they had our plugin installed, then the filters, then you should follow the same steps. @worthy mulch
We have seen people complain that the elgato streamdeck software does not work, when people install our plugin for OBS, we suggest them to reinstall/repair the streamdeck software and it starts working.
Hence why I suggested in the first place, to reinstall your plugin/filter/w-e it actually is at this point, as I got confused as to what it is.

There are 2 ways to rename it - one via Ground Control and one way via OBS.Live.

You can solve that issue with studio mode transitions. Overlays are a webpage and the way obs handles webpages - it takes a moment.

Cuda said to use Studio Mode, not OBS Studio, SLOBS still has Studio Mode, its used to preload scenes. The overlays are browser sources, so they need to load. If you dont want to deal with the loading time, then you should make your overlays so you have your alerts and other widgets that make sound in their own overlay, so they can be marked to be shutdown when not visible. The rest of your elements would then be in their own overlay that is not set to be shutdown when not visible, so they are always running, and never need to load. @marble ermine

@warm hawk So if you've had issues with an SL alert box where if freezes and what not and you've imported it, the issues the alext box has are also imported.
Its best to make a fresh overlay.
I am saying this from personal experience, where I've tried my hardest to change a follower alert image and sound, even mute the sound, yet it doesn't update the alert box.
When I imported said alert box to SE some months ago, the issues were still there.
So I made a fresh overlay with a fresh alert box
Also you didn't steal my job, as its always best to know why someone doesn't want to use us ๐

This is why it's important to check "Shutdown source when not visible" for your starting scene. Basically, when that's checked, hiding and showing the source, or switching away from the scene and back to it, will "refresh" the browser source and start the timer over.

Hello! I am trying to set up sound commands but I'm not quite sure how it works. I want to set it up so anyone can put !dog into chat and dog sound will pop up

- Create an item in the stream store for it. Stream perks show gif and play sound, sound effects are sound only.
- Create a custom command for !dog with the response ${redeem dog} assuming you name the stream store item "dog."
- Make sure you have a store redemption widget in your overlay for it to play.

@lament blade To duplicate a layer on an overlay select the layer that you want to duplicate in the layers drawer (bottom left of the editor) and then select the duplicate button with the red asterisk right above the layers panel. You can duplicate a layer to the same overlay or to other overlays.

All our overlays track your follows/subs/tips automatically, so you don't have to setup widgets like those, if you are going to use one of our pre-made overlays.
If you make a blank/fresh overlay, you can use the widgets tab, to add an alert box, recent follow/sub/tip widgets and other doodats as well. After you are done, click "save" and then click "launch" to get the overlay link and add it to OBS.

My issue is that there is nothing in my Activity feed and the recent followers widget that I added shows nothing.

Good morning! I am having some trouble getting my resub variation to work. If I emulate custom test for resub, use 2 months as subscribed and tier 1 I always get the normal sub alert. Variation is set at months subscribed at least 1.any ideas?
