I don't really know where else to ask this, but I am having some Alert Box audio issues. When I preview the Alert Box in the overlay editor, it sounds fine. But if I preview it in OBS, the sound is kinda messed up? Like it cuts in a bit late and its a but cutty-outty, if that makes sense, and I literally have no idea how to fix it.

If you use the default sound alert, does it work fine? If so, maybe the sound file you have is problematic to be rendered on OBS. Try to convert it to another format.
In case the default sound alert also fails on OBS, try to remove the source and add it again. Or try to create another scene e put only the browser source to test.

Hey team! I'm having an issue where my everyday Overlay works great, we see alert boxes just fine, however, the sound is gone. I have to mute, then unmute on the overlay editor (SE website) just to hear them in the browser, but they (the sounds) never make it to OBS when trying to emulate Preview live on stream. I've even tried to pull this SE URL into a different computer's OBS and still get no sound. Any ideas?

Opened a ticket but it seems to have been closed already

I run a Intel Core i9-12900K, Nvidia 3080 10GB, 2 x 16GB UDIMM DDR5-4800
500/500 mbps fiber

Currently while streaming I have encoding issues and can't seem to figure out what the problem is and seems to frame jump ever 5 seconds.

I have done the run as admin, reduced the bitrate to 3500, put encoding at the fastest, and reduced frames to 30.

Not sure what else to do.

If you are attempting to stream to one streaming platform, but SE.Live is attempting to stream to another, please try the following:

Navigate to StreamElements menu, on top of OBS > Logout > Login

After you have logged back in navigate to File > Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Reconnect

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

  • Merging accounts allows for faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events

My resolution for alerts are set to 1920x1080 but the text is still not coming up anywhere on the screen. When someone subscribes or follows etc, only the alert video graphic comes up blank without any text.

As long as you didnt send those bots on yourself, you will be fine. You cant be punished by Twitch for being followbotted. You can use the tool above, but be sure you put the correct filters or you can even remove all of your followers, by accident. You can also just forgot about it, and one day when Twitch will ban those accounts they will be automatically removed from your follows counter.

Hi there, After importing my leaderboard from Streamlabs some of my community are receiving a msg advising they do not have enough points when trying to activate items from the loyalty store. However, when they use the !points command it clearly shows they do have more than enough points to do so.

Initially raised this on 9th Jan and was assisted by SEChampion "TheSemicolons" who advised "have anyone who is having issues log out of the streamelements website and log back in? https://streamelements.com/logout".

Followed the instruction and requested those affected use the "!rename <OldUsername>" command in case they've renamed their Twitch account but neither fix has worked, and issue persists.

What's the next step on getting this resolved as I'm scratching my head on this? Thx

Is there anyway to remove the 2nd (send/ated-person) while also allow the command to work like ( (${sender} has ${random.0-100}% love for ${1:}) would?
For an example it would be like this.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active, as shown in this GIF: https://imgur.com/a/2JhJD0S

Hello - Im not sure if I am in the right channel to ask this, but I am having issues with the queue management commannd in my Twitch chat. It did work, but stopped working about a week ago. StreamElements indicates when a queue is opened/closed, but will not respond to viewers reqpond with their !queue join command. I've tried fixing and looking for answers online, but no luck 😦

Hey everyone I just wanted to share this with you all because I am confused on what to do here, I accepted a Raid sponsorship, and set up everything last night but now that I was minutes from starting it, it shows that there are zero spots left and I am confused whether or not I am in it since I accepted everything but cannot view the stats or anything.. I did get all the stuff set up but I don't want to accidentally stream a whole sponsored stream without it being sponsored

Sorry if this is not an issue I should post here.
I used to find it useful to right-click on the activity feed icon and copy the image to save the image in a larger size, and to click on the name to jump to the other person's stream.
The new activity feed is easier to see, but that is no longer possible and I am having a very hard time with it.
If possible, I would like to keep the icon display and the ability to jump to the other person's stream.

Try the steps below to see if it fixes the issue:

  • Disable the Viewer queue module on https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/modules?module=audienceQueue , wait some seconds and enable it again.
  • After that, go to Chat commands, disable and enable the command !queue. It will ask to enable the module again. Click on Enable.
  • Make sure the command !queue has the User level set to "Everyone"
  • If still not working, logout from Streamelements and login again here https://streamelements.com/logout. Ask the person which is not able to join the queue to do the same

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

  • Merging accounts allows for faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events

Hello, I apologize and hope I am posting this in the right space. But I need some serious help.
What do I do if I send a trouble ticket for a serious issue with my sponsorship but the email is responded back to and all the issues I mentioned were completely ignored and I received an answer to a problem that doesn't even apply to my issues?? I've been on and off calls and chats with HelloFresh all day and I'm exhausted and anxious. They said the only one that can resolve my issue is Stream Elements and now I have an upset viewer because it's not working and I can't resolve the issue for them. I've put so much into this first sponsorship for it to suddenly not work right, is really stressful.. I have only a week left of my sponsorship; it's my first one, and this is going horribly with getting answers. okayco2Hands okayco2Hands I have high anxiety/autism so this is definitely making the situation seem so much worse for me.

As mentioned in my ticket / emails, my sponsorship link is suddenly not working and neither is my code. It was working fine last night in my sponsorship stream (one of two this month) and a viewer was able to sign up and purchase a box with my link. But now today when two people tried to use it, it isn't working. However, when HelloFresh agent tried to help me, she said my code is working on their end. But viewers are trying to click my link or use my code at check-out and it gives them a message saying it's an invalid code when they go to pay. I have screen shots from the conversation with hellofresh and they gave me a work-around option to enter my code at checkout, but my code isn't working anymore. The campaign is not ended, I still have until the 21st to complete all my goals. It's still showing active on Stream Elements, too. I didn't receive an email stating that it's ended or null. HelloFresh also has no clue how to help sponsored streamers. The first two agents had no idea anything about sponsorships or even where to direct me to get help. I entered a legally binding contract and submitted my tax information, but I can't even get help or serious questions answered. psystress

On top of this (as stated in my email there are two issues with my sponsorship), I have a viewer that bought a box almost 5 days ago, I saw that Stream Elements can sometimes take ~48 hours to upload the count but a box that was purchased yesterday went through but not the one that was purchased almost 5 days ago. I have proof from the viewer of purchase and it's paid.

I don't know how to get any of these issues resolved and I am very stressed out, so I apologize for the long message. :(( This has been a very stressful day trying to get some help in figuring out what is even happening, let alone trying to resolve the issue.

I am back with a fix to my problem, just in case some will have the same problem in the future. Apparently after me and my mod trying to figure out the crash log I was receiving, we come to the conclusion that I might need to uninstall SE.Live plugin nugiSadge It worked, OBS is no longer crashing, but now I want my SE.Live plugin back. Hey. I have set the backup playlist in my streamelements media player to my own public playlist and saved the changes, but it still just keeps playing the default monstercat songs backup playlist. I have tried restarting my computer and it didnt work.

I fixed this issue. You have to change the settings from the desktop website in order for it to work. If you change the settings within OBS, nothing happens.

If you are using the StreamElements StreamDeck plug-in and having issues with Media Request keys or other StreamElements functions not working, this is a known issue. Devs are aware and are working on a resolution. There is no ETA on a fix at this time.

Any idea why Media Share today is returning: "@person, you can see the songrequest queue here: link" after doing !sr link in chat? Instead of it sending the video the user linked to the Media Share queue, it just returns that message above, in chat. Media Share is on and everything is setup as normal, but I dunno why it's doing this now.

Found solutions to this issue. Hope these can help anyone experiencing the same problem as me.

Solution 1: Go to your media requests via the streamelements website and the autoplay should work from there. Con is that you have to have browser open during stream for autoplay to work. To clarify, I am using google chrome browser. https://streamelements.com/dashboard/mediarequest/general

Solution 2: Download the streamelements ground control desktop app and access your media requests through this desktop app. The autoplay feature works in the desktop app for me, and this way you don't have to have a browser open. https://streamelements.com/groundcontrol

Still unable to get autoplay to work using the dock in OBS studio. Hope they can fix this soon, as this method would be the most convenient.

If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have SE.Live installed, please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of SE.Live
  2. Exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
  3. Delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
  4. Start SE.Live
  5. Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Connect

Custom bot name doesn't work after the latest activity feed update. Tried reconnecting twice, the UI even shows the correct bot name in the dropdown menu and can be chosen. StreamElements still showing in the chat, no custom name.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

I have watched multiple tutorials on how to put a twitch chat overlay into obs from streamelements and I have looked up my specific problem to no avail. The chat works just fine in streamelements but I can't see the chat in obs. I have double and triple checked that I have the right url in for a browser overlay and my alerts are showing just fine.

hey folks, have a question. id like to do something like allow chatters to put their name up on the screen for the rest of the stream after they redeem X amount of channel points. i know how to do the first part by using the channel store in SE and setting the overlay and chat command. but how do i do the second part, get it to keep their name on screen? would i have to use something like streamerbot for that part?

ah, if theyre using streamelements its usually !givepoints, rest is same as. !givepoints username 200 for example. but also keep in mind the streamer can turn that on and off if they want users to share. it can also be different if theyre using twitches points. best you can do is ask the streamer

Most of time they don't do anything other than collecting basic information as channel name, time online, games played and things like that. Some of them are to create reports or statistics, they won't cause harm in stay in your chat, it is like someone lurking your stream.
I know the commanderroot, it is a guy who create Twitch tools in his website and worked for Twitch in the past, but as far as I know, the bot account does not do anything... It is just his tool to lurk in a few chats:

Hello friends, still looking for some help. My Streamelements store commands appear to be working fine but I am not receiving any audio. I have toggled the mute function, unpaired and repaired the bot..my otehr alerts are working fine (bits, follows etc) and my other custom commands are working. Hello, sorry if I am skipping a step by asking directly in here. I am unable to change the secondary text styling in my text over media animated alert. Any fixes? It recognizes that is the secondary text because the selected animation works but stylization such as the font, weight, color, shadow, etc. won't apply.

Haven't done anything new, but suddenly my alert sounds stopped playing. If I click the control via obs on the source in obs it will play them but no sound to my ears. If i turn the monitor on it doubles the sound into my audio input capture in obs. I did notice that when I emulate the sound in the editor it has a message that pops up and says, "emulation was sent, but sounds are muted". Anyone dealt with these issues?

Hey Anyone know how to fix the popping cracking sound that happens if you have Control audio via obs checked on Alerts broswer in obs? I've tried everything but it keep popping and cracking when the clip start the only thing that helps is to untick control audio via obs but then i cant controll the audio level. pls help!

Apparently the popping noise goes away if I got the webpage with the alert open and in focus. Anyone know a way to use this without having to keep one monitor for twitch alert? must be a setting in my webbrowser or something.

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Hey there! im in love with this widget which I've seen working for other big streamers. StreamElements, for some reason. it doesnt work for me, the screen shows empty as well as the widget on my channel, I've tried log out from the StreamElement dashboard and uninstall the widget, then log in back to the dashboard and installing the widget back, but still nothing, any ideas?

It can take some time to update. It's best to have your vods on in case there's an error with it recording the time. You can keep them private if you like.

Morning!!! okie pokey, im moving over from Streamlabs chatbot to Stream elements for my twitch channel. Chatbot has been great in the way that i can easily add sounds to my commands however after watching videos online about how to do this through stream elements i think I'm now even more confused- is there a simple way or step by step guide you can give me to make this easier? the whole process is so convoluted, I'm also dyslexic so can you make it pretty simple for me?

I would say that there are two ways to make a sound alert triggered by a command. The first one is built-in StreamElements by itself.

  1. Go to your stream elements dashboard https://streamelements.com/dashboard (if you are not logged in, do it)
  2. On the left panel choose: "Loyalty" and then "Stream Store" there you can create a sound alert
  3. On the top right press: "Create new item" and in the opened menu press: "Sound Effects". Set the name, description, cost, countdown
  4. Press next in the section "Item content", and press "Upload sound" there you can choose the sound alert you want to use for the command. Under "Upload sound" you will be able to set additional settings like: "Redeemable, via website, via extension" you need to check: ✅ "via chat"
  5. After that press next (and probably next again, unless you want to give add other additional settings)

The second way is by the overlay, in the #widget-share you can find a bunch of widgets that allow you to play sound alerts on your stream. On the stream I mod for, we are using this one: #widget-share message. The widget is pretty simple to use, after you add it to your overlays you can either copy the address and use it in your OBS like all other overlays, or you can copy it to the overlay you are currently using. In this widget, you can add 15 alerts and 2 videos.

The main difference between those 2 ways is that in the first one to redeem an item it will be necessary to use command !redeem {name of the item}, in the second one you can set whatever command you want. I hope I explained it correctly. Good luck!

Because when I tried to use it in different scenes its seems to work each in same time, thats making copy of same video with lags. There is only one fix for me right now, to make special overlay with only media request, but thats not how it supposed to be imo.

Are we able to make custom commands per user in your chat? For example, on one of my bots, it allows me to do customized lurk commands, so I know it's possible, though it is limited to 5 responses or so. Is there a way we can do this with streamelements chatbot or is the commands a bit difference? For example, while the following command works on one bot, I don't think it works the same on all bots. What command would you use for customized lurks/viewer commands?

Hello! A bit of an odd problem I'm experiencing. Hoping someone can help point me in the right direction. For some reason my chat widget doesn't populate chat text anymore. It's worked forever with no issue. I've deleted the widget and re-added the browser source, but it isn't doing anything. I type in my chat and no text ever appears. Can anyone think of any other settings I can check? The rest of my alerts work just fine.

This was a Nerd or Die overlap pack, if that helps at all. Again I've used this for years without issue, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Well, first of all, SE does not have support for eval, so that limits a lot of things. Next, it is actually a question, do you want to create a command where the command name is customized for each user or just the response of the command is customized? I'm not sure if I got your question.
But if you want to create a simple lurk command, this is the way you would do:
${sender} has gone to play games with his broski : )

Then, if I type !lurk on your chat it will respond like that:
c4ldas has gone to play games with his broski : )

It looks very simple, so I'm not sure if that's what you want exactly. Can you give some more details?

Oh, I have 3 things in my mind right now.
1 - This overlay is broken and somehow it is not showing anything due to no reason. Solution: Create a new overlay and put a new chat in that overlay to test
2 - You are connected with another user or roleplaying another account. Solution: Logout from Streamelements and Twitch website, login to Twitch again and login to Streamelements one more time. Check if the overlay is there.
3 - The SE token needs to be refreshed. Solution: Logout from Streamelements and login again here https://streamelements.com/logout

I am trying to make custom commands for select viewers that lurk. I was able to do so on nightbot, but you can only have up to 5/6, so I was wondering if I could replicate that for streamelements.

For example. right now, I set up a lurk command for just one person. So, when I type in !lurk, it won't appear since I didn't create a general one. See first image for example.

However, I now just created a lurk command for myself and I get the !lurk message as the second image shows.

I was wondering if there's a way I can do that on streamelements or would it not be possible, since as you stated, eval isn't plausible at the moment.

I ordered a animation overlay effect for my donations but even with doing everything properly like the browser source, the right resolution I can not get it to work. If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again
