I feel like it might have more to do with the Twitch API more than anything since, for the most part, SE works as I expect with the variables I put in. But sometimes, even ${1} will return the user calling the command and not what they input as the touser

Ah yeah, also just some strange things regarding this same issue. Sometimes I can shoutout one channel and it returns correctly but then I do the same with a different channel and it returns my name. Or sometimes one user can get it to work correctly but another will return their own name. I've only seen this issue happen recently (about 3 days)

I'm having serious issues with OBS sounds.

Yesterday I couldnt' get my Elgato audio to work at all for my PS5. Monitor off was the setting I needed. But no setting fixed it.

Now I'm trying to switch to S.E. Alerts, and even though I have sounds set up in the OVERLAY EDITOR, there's NOTHING coming through on OBS through the browser source. I have "control audio via OBS on"--nothing. No input at all. Monitor and output is on, no setting change helps.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Yes, I relogged into my SE page.
The Bot is running and joined and I tested the Send Message option so the bot sends a message in chat.

When someone follows the alert gets triggered in my stream.
But when someone resubs/gifts, the alert is not triggering.

So i first did the "follower" one, no issues....then I hit the settings, made sure the subscriber alert wA active then went to the gear > change video > selected my custom alert > hit submit. It showed up. Went to "emulate" to test and no joy.

I assume its some sort of internal moderation for alerts and the bot, but users in my chat with names that contain the letters "a-s-s" will not activate alerts. For example users with "sassy" or "passive" in their name will not cause an alert to activate. Is there any way I can turn that type of moderation off? or is that even what's going on?

Hey everyone. Running into a bit of an issue trying to set up alerts with SE on MacOS. I have made custom lip synced alert GIFs with transparent backgrounds that I'd like to use.

The problem is this: When I use them as GIFs, they loop from a random point in the GIF, not the start, so the lip sync immediately breaks. I tried converting them to webm files, but webms will not play natively on OBS on MacOS (they just show blank). Is there a better way to go about this? Ideally I'd like to just use the GIF files. Can I force SE to start from the start each time they're used for an alert?

I don't think you have the right widget in use for what you're trying to track. This looks just like a regular label vs having the "Goal" widget.

open the overlay editor > click the white plus sign in the bottom left corner. then goto Labels > subscribers > goal > subscriber goal

I assume its some sort of internal moderation for alerts and the bot, but users in my chat with names that contain the letters "a-s-s" will not activate alerts. 2. Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Let me try to understand the situation real quick.

1. there is the streamer who:

• has a twitch channel with a StreamElements account
• Has a YT channel that has a StreamElements account.

2. you:
   -producer for the YT channel

Are you trying to access the SE account for the YT channel? IF so, you could create your own SE account using Twitch, Youtube, Trovo or Facebook, then be granted Full Access or Editor access to the account.

If the Creator wants to easily swap between their YT and Twitch account, they will need to merge the account. After doing that then could then grant you access to their channel.

In stream elements everything is working perfectly when I click things alerts make noise but in obs there’s no sound. As far as I can tell anyway

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active, as shown in this GIF: https://imgur.com/a/2JhJD0S

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.
