Hey everyone, with the new Twitch shoutout feature (/shoutout [username]), has anyone figured out an easy way to make it work with a StreamElements command? I have a specific use case with the Elgato Stream Deck, which I'd be happy to provide more detail if asked.

FYI, I do have a command set that "works". !shoutout produces "/shoutout ${1}"; however, this simply shows up in chat and the shoutout doesn't work. This is weird as I have another !so command that results in "/announce", and the announce feature works just fine.

If you simply run /shoutout user, will it work? As far as I know, the command is still being applied for all streamers by Twitch, so not all of them have access to it.

Hi, hopefully this is the correct channel to ask. I'm running into an issue in the SE overlay builder where a gift sub variation alert from one layer is triggering a resub variation. It's set up as months subscribed at least 2 so unsure why it's happening on single gift subs.

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

• Merging accounts allows for faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events

Okay so something funky happened with the import from SL. I adjusted the canvas and this should now be fixed.

If you expand the alertbox more, you'll see it also is trying to show the text from the sub as well. You have some editing to do with the alertbox, but the canvas should now be 1920x1080 (before it was stuck at 800x600)

Hello. I've been having this problem lately where subscription gifts when given in groups do not play correctly on stream. They display one at a time which is expected as I haven't configured anything to make it display "x has given 3 subs" but they are delayed and often don't play until I switch scenes.

• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Hi i need help with my stream elements alerts overlay. Im new to Twitch and I want to start streaming, I bought my own custom overlays. And every single one of my overlays work when tested in stream elements followers, donations, etc except for cheers and subs. iT SAYS on the left hand corner under the tabs that my overlay is uploaded, just like all the others, except when i test it, it goes back to the default alert, it even plays sound when i tell it not to. The animation that comes by default in the overlay that has selected to emit a sound because it is integrated with the video, if you want it not to emit a sound you must change the default for a personalized one or put the sound you like, and to test the variations it is from where you showed yourself in the picture.

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

Hello. Did the option to have a custom bot name get removed?? I have searched in this help thread and found the steps you say to follow but there are no bot settings to change in my SE dashboard. There is no hamburger button above my activity feed and the only options in the corner where it says bot settings are to reset the session or to mute, or to part the channel altogether. I'm very confused because there used to be a whole section dedicated to the custom bot name.

For Prime Gaming, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hi, I have just tried inputting my basic twitch alerts for the first time onto stream elements. I can see them on stream elements and they play fine when I use the emulator. I have followed all the instructions to copy into the browser source on OBS, and the outlined box shows up but the animation does not play in OBS when I use the emulator.
