Currently trying to do a sponsored opportunity for the new Fortnite - Dragon Ball Z update through SE.
Part of the campaign deliverables is to have 3 Separate overlays on stream at all times "branded alerts, takeover & an in-stream banner"
However, when I add these to stream elements, the 'branded alerts' & the 'in-stream banner' are not added as intended. Instead, the 'takeover' overlay is simply duplicated in 'my overlays'. It also overwrites any prior links added.

Tl;dr - I cannot follow through on 2 of the deliverables, as they will not add to SE & OBS correctly. I feel like two of my links (specifically the branded alerts & the in-stream banner have) have been setup incorrectly on SE's side of things, though I could be wrong.

Any help would be great 👍

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

In the overlay editor click the blue plus in the bottom right > Alerts > Store Redemptions. Make sure that you have the item set as a stream perk and you have the video set for the alert asset

You don't have the Loyalty settings enabled so it's not tracking the watchtime. The watchtime from Twitch vs what is tracked by us is not shared.

hi everyone, not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but im trying to work backwards - i basically created a nested scene on OBS in which i have all of my separate audio tracks (discord, spotify, chrome, game, mic, etc) and have a compressor filter placed on most of them so that they automatically lower volume when im speaking on stream.

however, im having a hard time trying to find where i can gain access to my triggerfyre/streamelement audio tracks, as im using the "application audio output capture" source to split all of these tracks into the mixer. any ideas?

I have two different alert boxes. Two scenes one unique alert box for each.

When I switch scenes the alert box ( that wasnt active, but now is) plays all recent alerts back. Like the alerts were clogged up.

In other words. Live scene plays alerts normally, switch to second scene (with different alert box) have to see all same alerts back to back to back....

Found a possible shortcut/workaround: duplicate the scene with all your custom alertbox, and delete everything except the alertbox. Save as a new scene and layer it on top of your previous scenes as a browser source.

Is there a simpler solution or will I have to resort to that?

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.

Desktop audio but make sure that it is the device you have set for your PC. Click the speaker in the bottom right of your windows bar and it should tell you the name of the device. make it the same as that device

What do you mean? In the bottom left there is a plus sign that provides the official widgets and what you can add. If you get a custom one and want to add it to a different overlay, then open the overlay with the widget you want to copy click the copy icon in the top right corner of the left hand screen, duplicate it to the desired overlay and it should be good to go

Resolved, thanks for your help. I logged out of StreamElements within OBS then disconnected my twitch account from OBS, restarted OBS, logged back into my twitch account through OBS, logged back into StreamElements within OBS and the media request is now working. Thanks again.

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

• Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

No. it is not on twitch.tv. you need to log into StreamElements.com using your twitch information. Then click on the icon in the top right. Click the icon again then click channel settings. Click "Show secrets" in the right side. Copy the text under JWT and save it.

Then log in to StreamElements using your youtube account that is NOT linked to your Twitch account. Click the icon in the top right. Click it again. Click "Show secrets". Copy the JWT.

Then, contact [e-mail] with the JWT tokens in the email. we will merge the accounts

RTMP is a type of server software (actually a protocol) pretty much, this is what is commonly used by most platforms to handle livestreaming. Twitch, YouTube and many more use it for livestreaming and you can run an RTMP server yourself if you wish to.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Timers do not seem to be following "Interval Online" or "Chat lines" They at times fire one minute after the other. THis is resulting in a spam of StreamElements Timers. Can someone please help with this?

Hi. The timers are not synced, but the intervals and chat lines do work - for each timer individually. Try to set different, higher values for those. It will not prevent timers to go off at the same time, but it will help with separating them.

I have a keybind (now) set to skip to the next sing, but as an artist it is pretty annoying to have to go out of my way to press the keybind after every. single. song. Is there a fix to this?

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

I don't think OBS has a way natively. You would need a third party audio program to separate it, then you could add an audio track in to OBS for it.

There's a plugin called window capture audio. I use this to separate my audio files in stream. I don't know this discords server's rules on posting links but you should be able to find it if you just google window capture audio obs. It should come up with a github page and ifyou have trouble you can even ask for support on the discord

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

You can drag the layers on the left hand pane to choose what layer is over another, but you could also have separate overlays for this and set the layers via OBS

me too, I enabled it to use the same name as the broadcaster, but since I changed my name it's glitched and I can't change broadcaster in user management nor can I find the setting to change the bot's name anymore

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

1. Right-click your OBS desktop shortcut (not the SE.Live shortcut) and navigate to Properties
2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)

BUT my total sub count continues to read "0" after i refresh, reset cache... it happened mid stream yesterday and would reset every 2-3 min randomly
