Sorry for the late reply, I did add a lot of the users I want excluded to the ignore list already but their chats still keep getting registered and shown in the chatter leaderboards.

Hi,

I have had an issue with the Stream Store redemption. I hope this is the right channel to do this in, let me know if it is not.

My issues is that when someone tries to redeem something in the store that they do not have the points for it still redeems it with the redeemer coming through as me and the points are deducted from me.

Have I just forgot to set something somewhere to prevent this happening?

Hi there, I have an issue with the activity feed to add on my OBS. I succeed to retrieve the link with the right activity feed but when I want to implement it on OBS, it retrieves nothing. It seems like it's connected to my other Twitch account, even though I'm connected on the right account on my browser and OBS

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Random question - I may have something set up wrong. I am getting an animated alert popping up on my OBS window and stream when someone tips me via the Streamelements.com tip page, but it isn't showing up on my Twitch Activity Feed window. Is this something I can fix? Or is it not going to show up in the Twitch Activity Feed popout window since it is pulling from twitch directly rather than through SE?

Follow up - Is there a better place to view the activity feed from everything rather than the twitch activity feed pop-out window? Thanks!

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

  2. Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
  3. Stop your stream/recording.
  4. Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.

Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+.

Some weeks ago, after the website went down for some time ,my alerts stopped working and I tried to find a solution for this all over the Internet. I checked if streamelements is a mod on my channel if i implementet my sources correctly but I couldnt find the porblem. When I emulate anything it is perfectly fine working in the browser and my OBS , but if someone actually on stream follows etc. no alerts pop up. So I wanted to ask if there is any help or solution for this. Thanks in advance!

Hey, I completed an extra bonus on my Sponsorship today on Stream, I had to buy an ingame shard pack and stream me opening it, which I did today. Hello, I'm trying to set up a redemption store. I added the extension and allowed all redemption methods (website, chat and extension). Typing "!redeem item" in chat works as normal. However clicking the redemption through the extension shows my name instead of the user redeeming in the list (where you accept/deny redemption). Why is this?

How do I stop the slight delay when switching between scenes in Streamelements OBS Studio using overlays from a browser source (from my overlays on streamelements dashboard)? When I switch scenes, it goes black for a split second before changing scenes

Notes:

  • Latest version of OBS and streamelements plugin installed and updated
  • Everything up to date including grahpics drivers
  • Have restarted (with fast startup disabled)
  • Overlay in scenes are coming from streamelements via browser source with "shutdown source when not visible" selected
  • All other settings in OBS default (except the auto config wizard to set video and bandwith settings)
  • Tested changing scenes with overlays from hard drive instead of browser source and it switches instantly
  • Hardware: I7-8700K, GTX 1080Ti, 16GB Ram

Is there a way to stop this delay?

Is there a delay simply because it has to pull it from streamelements site and thats not instantaneous?

For instant scene changing, is it recommended to not use my overlays from the streamelements dashboard but instead from your hard drive?

I had a great stream last night for hours! Then had a net issue hit dc’d, reconnected and continued a short while. How come SE sent me. Stream report covering the 30 min restart, but not the previous 4 hours when i had over 100 viewers?

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Hello! I have this problem where, only one user I have noticed so far, won't appear in my alertbox. They have subscribed, they have given bits, and they have gifted subs. All have not gone through the alertbox, and they won't replay when I try to through the activity feed. I also do have it so all cheers/bits are shown in the alertbox. I've even went through the trouble of setting up an entirely new alertbox, only for the same thing to happen. Anybody recommend any other troubleshooting that I can do?

Hello,

I mentioned some problems with the SE store extension yesterday (got no answer).
It is now even more bugged. Only some pictures shows up, updates doesn't get updated, wrong name still displayed for redeemer.
I have to remove it completely as it's no longer usable.
Does someone have a fix for this?

The store page works but viewers like to stay on the page so would be nice with an extension that worked.

Okay so this was my problem for 3 campaigns now. I had 2 new users completely use my link and they’re both level 7 and they both unlocked their “second ship” for some reason these campaigns aren’t counting the people who complete them for me.   2. Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.

Aloha! I’m having an issue where my prime subs aren’t registering in Streamelements. It registers in twitch, I have a clip of the twitch sub goal counter going up, but I didn’t receive a notification nor did the “latest subscriber” name change. I’m not really sure what to do. I initially put in a prime variation in the alert overlay, and did get a prime sub that alerted me on July 26. I don’t remember when I put the variation in. Any advice? Thanks for your help. I will clip the stream where the counter moved up but I didn’t get a notification.

I assume so? I don't have any issues with other sub alerts. I got five gifted subs earlier in the stream and that alert came through fine. For this particular person who subbed, the last time he prime subbed I got a super delayed notification but I did get one. The github CustomEvents version is broken, as far as I can see. I'm looking for a widget that shows the last 2 recent events as well. If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

  • Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and fill out the form here: https://streamelements.com/contact with each token correctly labelled
