I have been using 1440/60 streams on twitch since the middle of last year with no encoding issues. Suddenly for the last week, I'm getting encoder frames dropping

Why suddenly has it started

When you link YouTube to SE.Live, you get two outputs, one for horizontal and one for vertical or shorts (I think). You don't have to use both, but they can be edited or disabled.

no, i only have horizontal as far as i'm aware. i've never done vertical, and when i launched the stream yesterday, it made a duplicate on the channel, so i was streaming the same stream twice at the exact same time

Logout and log back in. It should be automatic. If that doesn't work, logout, disconnect Twitch and SE, then reconnect them. If that still doesn't work you'll need a ticket.

YouTube will always create two, nothing can be done about it. When you have one disabled like this, it will only stream to one output. Both are created to be identical but can be edited to your preferences. If you are seeing two streams, make sure that your OBS settings aren't set up to stream to YouTube as well.

in tiktok live studio- i have the ability to go live- ive tested that yesterday

however, when i try add tiktok to the mulitstream pluin in obs, i get the error message

is this not supposed to have the same easy ascsess thing as restream?

my only option in se live is to view live accsess, which i have- and then apply there.
but when i apply there (with link to twitch, and screenshots and all that) i get declined all the time because it says the link provided (thats been to my twitch front page/ my vods page and you name it)

Hello everyone. I've been dealing wiht an issue with my SE alerts (follows, raids, etc) where they test just fine, however, when I'm live streaming, and someone follows or raids, I don't get the alert notifications - they don't show up for viewers or me and no audio from them. I've got the alert resolution to match my settings in OBS, and while it still tests fine, doesn't work when live. My base canvas is set to my monitor resolution (2560x1440) and downscales to 1920x1080 - I believe I have the alerts set to 1920x1080 in SE as well as the browser source. Do I need to change that to match my native display resolution to get it to work properly?

Overlays should be the same resolution as your base canvas; although none of the premade overlays will support anything but 1080p.

i think i figured out part of what's going on. i just got off stream and saw that in the description of my 2nd stream, it had the restream info in the description. so what i think is happening is that restream is somehow still connected and is continuing to create streams, and for some reason it has priority and overwrites my twitch information

The only other issue i have is with the chat, because my widget got messed up and won't show the youtube chats on stream anymore.

And i was wondering, how do you go about removing a message from the multichat? i had a scam bot and i couldn't figure out how to remove the message

Since multi chat is local, I don't believe you can.

If the YouTube chat overlay was not showing up, can you verify that your stream was live and public? And that you were connected to the correct broadcast?

However, when I check both my tiktok and streamelements there are no violations recorded? and ontop of that I am able to start the stream up again.

This happened to me to mate. its not at SE issues it a Tiktok issues. I tried to raise it with Tiktok and they just ran me around with ai BS (Its like if you make no money for Tiktok aka gifts and what not they block you for no reason) Cant go live on SE but can go like on Tiktok Studio its a way for Tiktok to make sure you use their platform and i also have a feeling it something to do with not being able to prove you are human cause in the Tiktok Studio you have to do it ever so offen like a llittle capture you are human thing but in SE you dont so they AI that runs Tiktok probly things you arnt human and blocks you and they say they cant help cause you dont meet requiements

Restream is having issues as well. Every 40 mins to 1 hour the stream suddenly stops if you use their services. Looking here and seeing SE.Live Multistream is having the same issue ... welp ... it leads me to believe @mossy kite is right: it's a TikTok issue with RMTP streams. Didn't test with Streamlabs Desktop yet.

hi! how can i make sure that I hear my alerts through OBS (using StreamElements overlay for alerts)? As a viewer, you can hear it on the stream, but when I am streaming and an alert comes in I dont hear it. Also, it only works for some alerts and not others it seems. I think Aitum would work, but everything I can find says you need a stream key and those don't seem to be easy to get.

I was messing around with the chatbot commands and wanted to make a command for "!roll <something>" and for it to output "<User> rolled <random number 1-20> for <something>!"

I did manage to get it to work with

But i also want the same command to work with multiple words, 1-3 words for example.
But i can't seem to find anything that would work.

i was facing similar issues and it was rectified by making chrome my default browser. Something i had not thought of but it seems the plugin uses the default browser for authentication and mine was set to my brave browser. Once i did this I managed to get all platforms connected with no further issues

Yeah, scene switcher is what I'm using now but it means I need to have a whole bunch of overlays all lined up the same way which is annoying to deal with. Was hoping I could find a way to have one overlay with multiple widgets so I could align them neatly within the editor all at once.

I set up restream for TikTok in the SE.live canvas and everything works. I also added the chat normally used with SE.live via the OBS custom dock. On restream, it’s possible to access the TikTok monitor when live, and from there you can open the chat in the browser and copy-paste the link into OBS. Restream only supports H264.

I see I would want it to be as clean as possible but the problem I’m running into is with specifically speedrunning Minecraft my streams hit an encoding overload. It only happens when I’m refreshing runs though

Idk much about Minecraft but you may just be overloading it if you’re using an intense texture pact or your render distance is really high. Also if you’re streaming 1080p I’d try to make sure your monitor is rendering in 1080p too cause if you’re doing 4k you’re only running in 4k for your looks. Also make sure your OBS canvas is 1080p and not downscaling a 4k output to 1080p

If you’re using Safari, it will not allow you to login because Safari blocks certain IP addresses

Hello. I’ve messaged in here before but my issue still isn’t resolved 🙁 I use OBS and I have browser alerts from StreamElements. My viewers can hear my alert sounds, but I cannot hear them on my end. When I emulate them, they work, but when I am streaming they do not. I asked ObS about this and they said when they work when emulated but not during stream, it is the provider issue not OBS and I need to come back to you guys for help. I have tried literally everything it seems. Monitor and Output and advanced audio settings and literally I feel like I’ve exhausted it all. Thanks so much for any help and advice. you can hear them because when you emulat, the browser goes through your default audio as well as obs. to hear them from OBS, click the 3 buttons menue, hit "advanced audio properties" and in the "audio and monitering" make sure your alert audio is set to monitor and output. If you still dont hear it then, you need to go to settings - audio - advanced - monitering device - set to your preference

I'm having absolutely no problems with StreamElements on my Twitch channel, except for one viewer. He's collecting loyalty points, BUT he can't redeem any of them. Sound alerts works for viewers, but I cannot hear when streaming. Emulate works, but not actual alerts. Things I have tried to no avail:

alert message wors fine for sub, resub, 1 gift.
however the message doesn't show up at all when more then 1 sub is giftet (mass gift variation) even tho i edited the html code in the same way as all the other variations.
on the cheer alert there is always these numbers displayed in the cheer message. in this picture it was a cheer of 9090 bits, if you cheer 1 bit, there will be a "1" at the end of the message

If it's a custom alert and you're editing the html, #dev-chat would be a better place to ask. If you're using the default widget, make sure you edit all the alert variations.

Yes and they are set to be loud. I also edited the alert sounds in SE to be loud too, in case it was a sound issue. Still nothing

Edit to add that the sound bar says it should be loud even though i never hear it

Viewers can hear it so that’s good, emulate works, the actual alert and everything pops up, but i cannot hear it and I miss big alerts 🙁

I would reach out to OBS and see if they can help you troubleshoot it. Sounds like an issue with how the "monitor" audio is being routed.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Shutdown makes it so if you have the same overlay on multiple scenes, you won't hear the alerts twice. Refresh when active makes sure the overlay is current when you switch to a scene with it.

That would cause the alert to play multiple times if you don't have it shut down.

Can you try emulating an alert from the dashboard and see if you can hear it?

I hear it when emulated, but i heard it when emulating before too. Just not when I am actually live streaming when real people do any of the actions. Viewers can hear it when I’m live, but I cannot

Changing your name broke all the connections between SE and Twitch. It's possible they were stale before so they have been refreshed.

Because i just changed my name literally within the past 2 hours. When you are live with restream you can see the TikTok manager (which would be a page of your live center account I think) that only works when you are live. There you can see all the live statistics and you can also see TikTok chat there. You can open the chat in the browser and then copy and paste the link into an obs custom dock. And boom you will always have there chat that is the same as the one you see with SE.live

Per the announcement, I constantly get the announcement, but I just restart the stream and it's back to normal. I never get anything on my Tiktok dashboard either, so there's never any real issues, it just cuts out randomly

Per announcement when checking the TikTok account restrictions there are Zero. I believe its more of a bug or glitch with tiktoks approval collaboration with third parties services like SE’s that is causing the issue.

Hopefully tiktok can find a solution for that soon, because as others have mentioned you can restart your live immediately after and it will work but it will shut off again within a few minutes.

TTS is set up for each alert type in your overlay
Bitrate is done in the OBS settings, and I believe in the SE.Live plugin
Smearing would be a question more for the OBS discord probably.

Hey everyone, I've already put in a support ticket, but since I don't know when I'll get a reply I figured taking my shot here and hopefully get some help. I Apologies for the long read, but appreciate if you take the time and may have a solution.

I have recently upgraded to se.live through OBS for multi-stream/chat. I currently stream to twitch, youtube, and kick. I use my twitch channel to be signed in to streamelements and OBS, linking both my youtube and kick accounts to streamelements under the channels section. I am currently having an issue where I am able to see chats from all platforms I stream to on the multi-chat dock on my end, however, only twitch comments appear in the chat box on the overlays for the viewers to see. I have noticed in the past couple streams, the very first comment on youtube will appear on the chat box overlay, but every other message to follow does not show.

I used to use a plugin on OBS for multi-stream and used social stream ninja for multi-chat. I have removed the puglin completely, but kept social ninja active in case there were issues with the se.live multi-chat. My next stream will be done without social ninja active to see if that is a reason the se.live chat is having issues displaying all chats, not just only showing twitch.

Here are the troubleshoots I have done so far: 1.) I have unlinked/linked my youtube account to streamelements multiple times 2.) I have removed and added streamelements as a moderator through youtube studio multiple times 3.) I have deleted/re-created the overlay on streamelements for the chat box multiple times.
