But "{name} redeemed {item}" only pops up on stream as "{name} redeemed" and does not state item name. Tested this with having only one item in the shop and having multiple items in the shop. I'm running into a bit of a problem trying to use stream elements alert feature. I have edited an existing alert but wanted to use a different sound, I saw there was a sound under the "Alert sound" tab and removed it and replaced it with a custom sound but it seems to be playing both the original and the new sound when triggered. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

In the screenshot below I have actually removed the custom sound (and any other sound I could find in the alert) saved and published and it did remove my custom sound but I can still hear the original.

I believe I've found the issue, looks like the audio is actually tied to the video, when decreasing the speed to 50% with all audio's removed the original sound was also slowed down. Is it possible to mute the video from streamelements?

One of the streamers I'm moderating for is having some odd issues with his StreamElements chatbot. I can test the commands just fine on my end, but he doesn't give me access to examine the commands directly - no webpanel access and can't do !commands to view the configuration either so I'm a little in the dark on this. He's stating the commands having issues have 0 global and 0 user cooldowns set. This has been happening for about 3 months.

He uses StreamElements alongside Nightbot and will have them dual reply to commands with the same name, where nightbot will print a message and increment a counter in chat and then StreamElements will do a moderator action like a short timeout.

Nightbot seems to consistently reply and is first to reply of the two, but StreamElements will sometimes not respond. I'd say maybe 20-25% of the time. Its inconsistent, and not really reproducible outside of when he's live. I've had him part and rejoin the SE bot, but that didn't help and I'm not sure what the next steps should be.

Any advice?

A friend I mod for got raided multiple and Twitch recognized the raid and did the system message in chat, but no SE Raid alert. It doesnt appear on Streamelements activity feed either. It does show on Twitch's activity feed though. Emulating alerts in SE, everything seems to work. But actual raids are not triggering the alert or showing on the activity feed. Unsure if anyone is else is seeing odd issues like this. Walked him through revoking and re-authorizing Streamelements, re-modding the bot, refreshing the cache of his browser source in OBS, and re-signing into SE Live too

• Cause you have wrong size settings on the browser source. If you just want to have alerts match put it on 0, 0 and match to the size of the alert box, or just use the size you set overlay at in the overlay settings in streamelements.

In the browser source properties. Same place where you put the browser source URL. Your Overlay is possibly 1920x1080 so you use that. Or like I said, figure out the size of your "alert box". Its in Position, size and style tab on the left. You set the Top and Left to 0px and then just put the width and height from streamelments in the obs source

Asn for the why it does not update... Sometimes just refreshing page few times fixes things.

I'm having issues with going LIVE with Tiktok vertical. My account is connecting just fine but I keep getting an error saying that I'm not eligible for LIVE access even though I setup my account with no problem and I'm able to go LIVE straight from my tiktok account both mobile and through Tiktok LIVE studio. So Im confused about the ineligibility part since I already stream LIVE on tiktok on their platform. Can someone look into this and help me solve this issue? I should be able to go LIVE just like everyone else is. I've tried various trouble shooting steps including looking at my Tiktok LIVE studio to see what I can do to facilitate the transition to OBS/ Stream elements multi-stream plugin, but nothing has worked thus far...

yes or I believe there is a "same as" option but yes both should be the same value... please keep in mind that bitrate is dependant on your internet connection and speeds... you should be able to find a graph online that will show internet speeds and bitrate that correlates

Keep in mind the more you add like browser source and everything can play a factor, Ive never tried streaming with internet that low on the upload so unfortunately I am unsure. I have a 1gb up and down, and I used to stream to YT, TT, T, and K all at 10000, to get 1080x1920 60fps. I dropped YT so I dropped bitrate... when using the vertical format built in with OBS/SE I started to struggle until I landed at 9000 on the bit rate

Does your multi chat in obs work with yt and twitch? if so pop out your multichat and right click to copy current address... create a chat overlay as a browser source and use that url you copied from the obs multichat... in theory that should work

As far as I know, there's no way to put them both in their own overlay, chat that is.

I use a third party app to accomplish this.

and it's not SE's fault, it's really how APIs are seprate and how the platforms interact. There's no easy way for SE to combine them.

they all auth to their own account on SE, so alerts, chat, go to those. There's no way to combine them into a single overlay and show them 'in order' as they come across, if that makes sense.

SocialStream Ninja gives you the ability to have a source that will show all chats from all streams at the same time, in one overlay.

I've been using it for a while and it's pretty slick.

Is there something going on with StreamElements that I don't know about? Several of my browser sources broke monday. didn't have time to fix it because I work full time and have a life outside of my stream onlien stuff.

I got to check everything... and not only is this one broswer broken.. but so it another one.

They work fine when I click on the preview link wihting streamelements but for some reason, OBS studios sin't displaying them.

On a side note... my sound alerts have been effed up because of a bug in OBS as well. That's a whole other situation.

I'm glad you mentioned this. I have been having weird issues with Youtube saying it is live in OBS but not actually going live on Youtube. Do you think if I set default to Public this would resolve this issue? The only way I have found to fix it is to disconnect youtube from my SE account and reconnect and then the first time I go live it works but then never again after that

Im unfamiliar with the setup having multiple canvases on OBS. but what it sounds like youre trying to do is run 3 separate videos all on the same stream.

at the bottom left you have your "Scenes" which is the main video output, and right next to that is "Sources." [your screenshot is cutoff, but at the bottom of the "Sources" box should be a (+)]
you can add multiple videos as "Media Source" individually as long as all of them are open.
click the (+) and select "Media Source" in the menu. look for the Youtube window with the video you want to add. you can rename "Media Source" to your liking, so it's easier to stay organized. do this for each Youtube window and they will be listed in the "Sources" box

this makes it so your separate videos are all shown on one screen. drag the videos so they all fit within the main canvas

*if this gets you to what youre looking for, I suggest removing the smaller canvases on the left and right, also the scenes box underneath them

*if this is NOT what you want maybe there's someone more familiar with Youtube streaming and multistreaming

What I need to do is to tweak the timers so they won't trigger all at once, but one after another at a time. Have the timers trigger in sequence. All will wait for 2 messages in chat in past 5 minutes (just so the entire chat isn't spammed by the bot regularily without any user input), and the interval between each timer I need to be like 15 minutes. I don't want them to trigger all at once, but one after another. First triggers, then after 15 minutes the next one, then after 15 minutes the next one, etc.

Those are the “tuning” settings for YouTube streams. “High Quality”, “Low Latency” and “Ultra Low Latency” Edit: Now that you mentioned it: YouTube names the "regular" one "Normal Latency" while SE.Live calls it "High Quality", maybe somethings bugged there...

For some reason YouTube Studio appears to be locked to “Normal Latency” and states that the settings have to be changed in the streaming software. But in OBS I’ve set it to “Ultra Low latency”. I suspect that it might be rooted in Twitch being set as Main.

How do i get rid of a stream, when I first setup it seemed like SE.Live was going to take over the main OBS stream and so I added youtube as my main in SE.Live. But I went to start a stream and the OBS main stream came up asking me for the broadcast information like it always has, then on my channel I had 2 streams happening at the same time. I need to remove the original 2 streams that SE.Live had setup as they are just clutter in my way. I uninstalled and reinstalled and everything came back. I have looked in the configuration files and could not find a way to remove these. Even the SE.Live frame for the streams can't remove them as the Delete choice is "greyed" out. Even though its red.

So i have one of my SE.Live Canvas set up as my designated "recording" canvas (allows me to record clean vods with no alerts and other on screen stream related things for easier YT editing) and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to either write a script to have OBS start the record button on the canvas when I start my stream without having to open the canvas and hit the button myself. We're having similar problems with both Bit Alerts and Gifted Sub Alerts.
Has anyone encountered any issues with "At least" conditions not prioritizing correctly, or with gifted sub packages not triggering the collective alert?
Is there a known bug on this, or a detailed, official guide on how to guarantee variations trigger correctly when you have overlapping At least conditions or gift packages?
Any insights or workarounds would be hugely appreciated!

I don't typically use SE for alerts but I'll ask a clarifying question to see if someone else can help. Is it that there are multiple variations for the same amount? or is it diff variations for diff amounts?
maybe provide an example like "if 10 gifted subs are sent it plays the 5 gifted sub alert" or is it that they have multiple variations for 5 gifted?

without doing anything super extra you just need to go to file>settings>audio>monitoring device and select the audio device you want to listen with.
Then
double click your "alert" source and make sure "control audio through obs" is checked
THEN
hit the little cog wheel in the bottom of the audio mixer in obs
find your "alert" and make sure "monitor and output" is selected for that alert.
I am unaware of if you select your audio interface if that will play it or not but my friend has this set up with the el gato wave but she listens to her entire desktop through that so maybe it'll work similar for you? It sounds dumb but try googling your audio interface and obs. like "obs alerts not playing focusrite" Otherwise you might have to learn how to use virtual audio cables.

essentially, even with the bot chat alert module on, after unlinking and relinking, unmodding and remodding, disconnecting to channel and reconnecting to channel, and deleting my own alert element and completely remaking it again, the bot chat alert module does not send the in-chat alerts for anything

A little kindness goes a long way. Uh looking through things the only thing I can think of is the "settings" tab directly under "banned words" there's a status section and a thing to "mute" or "part" and it tells you the status of the bot. There's no many ways that could mess up. That's so odd

How we have it set up is: For 5+ gifted subs (variations would be gift 5 subs, gift 10 subs, gift 20 subs and gift 50 subs). All are At least 5 with 25% chance each. These are at the top of our variations list for subs.
Next alerts: For 1-4 gifted subs (Exactly 1, Exactly 2, etc., all at 100% chance). These are below the 5+ group.
The problem is not always but sometime when someone gifted 5 subs, instead of one alert from the 5+ gifted subs pool, it played 5 separate "normal subscriber" alerts (the default alert for a new direct sub).

Most of the time if you're doing horizontal, you can use the Primary outputs settings already, no need to create all kinds of transitiions. Just make sure that any secondary stream suse the 'default canvas' of your primary output. If you have a Vertical scene linked to the Primary overlay for transition purposes, as far as I know, there's no way to 'show' the transitions with 'linked' scenes.

I kind of understand what you are saying. The default canvas does show the transition(stinger) when changing scenes, but the second canvas(vertical) does not show the transition. With Aitum plug in it allowed the transition to be shown on the vertical stream. I didn't know if there was a dock I was missing, or a setting I needed to change to add or select a transition for the vertical canvas.

As far as I know, the stinger isn't applied to any canvas besides the default one.

I myself haven't dug into this much as I just use it and ran with it... I'm not sure if there is a way, right now, to apply a stinger to the vertical transitions.

Just now it came up, that it doesnt count time any further.

Explicit 1 user took a look for its watchtime at the begin of stream - there he had 22hrs watchtime -

I've created alerts on SE with Audio which i can hear on the webpage, I then copy the URL and input them in to OBS when in OBS i test the alert the bar doesnt move but i can still hear it in the webpage, I can see the alert in OBS but no Audio or movement on the bar, I follow the process of "Control Via OBS" then Monitor and output and the Audio lines are correct as I've tested it with music line, anyone got any ideas?

I've sent the alert link to a friend who also streams and they done have audio from it either but see it visually

Concerning Timers.
I have a timer set to 65 minutes to trigger something (online timer)
But SE can trigger this timer after 5 minute start of the stream... which is annoying af
Any fix?

I can only assume it countinues counting from the last stream or something, like it happened I ended the stream when timer was on 60 minue mark and after new launch it finished timer with that 5 minutes...

You would probably need a ticket for an official answer.

My guess is that timers start counting from the time you click save. They check the conditions every time the time limit is met to see if they should activate. You just happened to get "lucky" that it lined up like that.

If dual streaming, and using the secondary canvas setup in the dock window, the canvas' default to using the sam eaudio channel as Primary output in OBS.

So you just have to add any scenes etc if you're doing something outside of 'use default canvas' if that makes sense

Ok so installed SE plugin for OBS on Windows, it asks me to sign in to Twitch which I click, then it opens a browser window but the authorize site/screen never appears. The browser in question is Brave, but I've copied the address it tries to go to into Chrome and Edge (realise copying this way might not work anyway) and still get a blank page. Would there be any permissions or other system settings I might need to enable? Am able to visit and sign in to SE website separately in Brave but thought I'd check.

I’m currently using SE.Live (StreamElements OBS fork) to stream to Twitch. The issue I’m facing is that my stream appears live on Twitch, but viewers only see a black screen during the broadcast. Interestingly, the recorded VOD shows the full video correctly, meaning SE.Live is capturing and encoding content properly.

Switched between Display/Game/Webcam sources

Adjusted encoder settings (CBR, 6000 kbps, keyframe 2, x264 & NVENC)

Tried different Twitch ingest servers

Verified scene and source setup (no hidden or empty layers)

OBS preview and recordings look fine

Ran test streams through Twitch Inspector (streams received cleanly)

It seems like the problem may be in how SE.Live interacts with Twitch ingest, or how the initial keyframes are handled. I would greatly appreciate any insight or a checklist to ensure SE.Live is fully compatible and configured correctly with Twitch’s live feed rendering.

One thing I am having an issue with however, is TikTok live streaming. I have well over 1,000 followers on there and have streamed there before. My issue is that in obs is has a red circle next to it that says "user is ineligible for live streaming", but I can still connect my tiktok when I go live to other platforms and it goes live to tiktok. Since it's not being recognized in obs, even though I'm live on tiktok, it wont let me view the tiktok chat window. It tells me to create an account instead.

@lusty canyon I had to setup shortcuts for it to trigger for Vertical, like a shortcut key, On my stream deck I had to use a multi action button to trigger both horizontal and vertical... I do recall before that the replay buffer just 'worked' for all canvases regardless if theyw ere live, so not sure why the change.

your vertical canvas is using the audio sources of your currently active main canvas (in my case horisotal) so there in fact is no need to add audio sources to our vertical canvas

Is there a way to display the total message count for a User in Twitch chat with a command in Stream Elements?

The leaderboard displays the message count for the top 15 users. Any way there is a command to pull this into twitch chat?

could anyone give some advice, when i open the multichat dock it comes like this with no top bar to drag, i can resize but thats it

I have been trying to figure out how my streamelements can play the loyalty points sounds. I have set up a browser and link in my obs but my viewers still can redeem or hear it. I hear it when I try it on the the overlay maker in stream elements but hear nothing on stream or OBS. Can anyone recommend a solution or where I can watch a video about it?

Hey, anyone else getting crashes alot while using the SE plugin?

Mine are happening from CPU spikes, usually when I try to resize an image or camera source within a scene, but also this week just when I swapped scenes.

Also when I close the app, it doesn't close cleanly, so when I go to load next time that pop up message say about it having crashed.

doesn't seem to save any crash logs eitherway to try debug either.

Even before I'm live it happens alot..

When I go into safe mode, I've not had it crash the same way.. so the general setting of my canvas and output or sources don't seem to be the main issue as some advice was about my canvas size being bigger than my output.. but my CPU and GPU on the streaming laptop have plenty of headroom to cope as I want to stream to YT in a higher test than can to my main Twitch

I just recently installed SE.Live so this may have already been answered somewhere. I usually launch my stream from my Stream Deck. I have multiple buttons setup that set the stream title and other details before the stream launches. Both streams work fine if I click the start stream button in OBS Studio which brings up the dialog for info. I have multi task buttons that set everything up before launching the stream as I have different streams. I also do not see any option in the stream elements plugin. Has anyone figured this out?

hello, im trying to link my twitch to selive on obs studios and everytime i try and do so i get a blank screen
