I multi stream on twitch and youtube, twitch primary, youtube secondary.

When I go live, it asks me if i wanna go on youtube, I do, it asks what stream to select, so i select the title of the stream ive set up (with my description, links, thumbnail, etc)

When I go live, it goes live on youtube, but doesnt have my description thumbnail etc. How do i fix this?

You used the Schedule Stream in studio.youtube.com to set it up ahead of time? If so, that's exactly how I do it and it seems to work. Just make sure you aren't selecting "Create new stream" when selecting the 'stream' in the start streaming dialog.

I'd LOVE if that interface allowed us to control all of the same studio.youtube.com from that pop up, but alas it does not

That's normal. I usually schedule stream, each time I"m going live, so I can be sure that when I select it in Multi-stream pop up, that is has my settings.

I've noticed that when I dual stream on twitch and youtube, my youtube stream has a massive delay. Something like 30-40 seconds, I'd say. Which means that my YT chats come in way later than twitch. Is there a good way to resolve this?

I know there's a low latency setting for streams created with the YT live settings, but idk if that exists with the SE stuff

when I use the SE live obs there is option at the very top that says Scene collection and under that menu is "Import" so i suggest looking for that

Oh nah, that's for overall OBS scenes in case you need to uninstall/reinstall OBS. I meant transferring (or copy/pasting) scenes from Vertical Sources into SE Live vertical sources

1. How to adjust YT SE plugin stream quality to match twitch? YT says 1080, but it doesn't look it at all.
2. The SE canvases are duplicating every like 3 OBS starts. Like it won't happen for a few times the program is started, but when it does, the canvas name will had a 1 or two 1's next to it, and the new duplicate won't be linked.
3. No way to split the audio when using this plugin? OBS has the setting to choose if an audio goes on the VOD or not, and the setting seems to be missing now.

Namely, I added 60 seconds delay on OBS, and it's working on Twitch (primary), but on Youtube, it's only 15-20 seconds, and on Tiktok, it's not even there.

Youtube data not showing in stream labs dashboard. Also causing my alerts and sub count to have no data. When going into settings I actually see the data. Youtube channel is on "Public Sub" would like to livestream on Youtube to make it easier for my subscribers. Thanks in advance!

Users can choose to make the channels that they subscribe to public or private. By default, all settings are set to private.

Private: When a users subscriptions are set to private, no other user can see what channels they subscribe to. A user's account does not show in a channel's Subscribers List, even if they are subscribed.
Public: When users subscriptions are set to public, another user can see what channels they subscribe to. User subscriptions are listed on their channel page, and their account is listed in the Subscribers List for any channel they subscribe to.

Hey I have been wanting to get into multi streaming and decided to use SE Live OBS plugin to do it and ever since setting it up I have been having a lot of streaming issues with CPU and GPU overload and the quality of the stream is unwatchasble I have pretty fast Wi-Fi 2000 download and 300 Upload yet the stream is very choppy even when I only stream to one platform even though yesterday when I streamed it was really smothed before installing the plugin any help would be much appreciated!

while i dont have the same issues as above; since switching to the SE.Live plugin to multistream, I've had a LOT more dropped streams where it just loses connection, during almost EVERY stream these days.. I get about an hour in and then the stream just ends saying "Could not access the specified channel or stream key, please double check your stream key. if its correct, there may be a problem connecting to the server."

I have Gigabit internet and none of my other devices lose connection when this happens. plz halp.

How to separate Media Request (MR) audio in OBS:

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

1. Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
2. Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
3. Tick the box for Control audio via OBS
4. Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

1. For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
2. Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
3. Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
4. Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

Personally, I'd try to trim down the phrases you're trying to filter/moderate with the 'Banned Words' feature to keywords or common phrases. Less content in the phrase is more broad of a restriction that you're imposing. The more precise you are with the phrase, the more you could be letting slip past it too since it is more precise to trigger as well

The amount of spaces could vary from those advertising bots, and slip through based on what appears to be getting added as the phrase. A lot also use alternate characters to slip past restrictions like the one you're setting up. Try to avoid spaces where it appears there are multiple and trim it back to either a single word like "nezhna" without quotes, you don't need the domain suffixes either like ".com" for the phrase to be effective at triggering the response from the bot

I'd recommend trimming the list back to:

nezhna
bigfollows
dogehype
viewers. shop - this one I would recommend using another part of the phrase they used to advertise
mountviewers
mystrm

and then leveraging either Twitch's or streamelements profanity or other filters for the hate raid chat spam you have blocked.

Like I said, it would suck to have to go through each alert and raise the seconds for TTS to whatever the length of the video (with sound) alert it (which worked fine for years until now... says like, 20 other people in the last few days) but it's much easier then making custom MUTED mp3's lol. That sounds awful... Just give us more than 10 seconds for TTS delay. Give us 90 seconds or atleast 60 seconds to have wiggle room... At this point if I am doing audio silent mp3's.... I'd rather just go the route of doing all my alerts locally on my PC where I would have that control...

I currently stream a game I played and I want to use multi box, meaning play multiple characters with multiple game windows, but I do not want to show my desktop for cyber security reasons. Is there a suggested method for projecting the game that you can capture all three of the windows? Because the EXE projector is only attaching to the first window that pops up and then the other two windows are unviewable.

SE.Live is extremely dependant on that authentication to make sure everything works properly.

One new issue is that none of the stream element features works if I'm on VPN. But rather than attempting to resolve the issue I just stream without VPN.

i'm highly dependent on the multi stream plug-in so I just don't bother if something interferes with OBS or stream elements.

I think the multistream plug-in is the best thing ever. I literally stopped using streamlabs immediately when that was announced. Became a diehard OBS user literally overnight.

someone has suggested using multiple projectors for the EXe. I have never considered using multiple projectors before. The problem is is that the windows are all named the same, so OBS may not be able to tell the difference between one account or the other. using multiple projectors for capturing the video seems plausible and maybe a solution but the actual specific technical details and something that requires further experimentation/exploring. I've explored a lot of this with stream labs but never with pure OBS. It could be something there that I'm not seeing. I need to become more familiar with pure OBS. Thank you for your assistance

Yeah, I can't answer why it fails on VPN. Soundsl ike the VPN is blocking something.

I tried disabling the tracker blocker and other things and it still fails so I gave up on it. It's not really a priority. However, before switching the pure OBS, I was using a VPN because someone was doing a denial of service against me through my discord.

changing my IP address by switching VPN servers or reconnecting eliminated the connection issues to my game. I was able to verify that my Internet was completely cut off before disconnecting from the VPN. It was during a live stream so yeah it was not the best time and it's happened more than once.

I did read online that denial service through to Discord is actually possible, not impossible but difficult.

So the thing that gets me is Discord has protection in place to prevent denial service but the person was still able to do it

It eventually stopped so I just let it go. But it did make me curious that I couldn't find a way to prevent it other than changing my IP address

I suspect that if the platform you're using requires that you create the stream ahead of time, that maybe you didn't create it far enough ahead? Facebook and rumble require me to create the stream keys. It's temporary keys

But yeah, game capture works by inserting a shim between the game and the DIrectX call that a game uses to "publish" a new frame, so it works with anything doing 3D stuff via DirectX. Doesn't matter what the actual output format is after that.

One of the controls for the multistream is a control panel that only shows up in the default dock configuration. their Version of OBS is unique. It took some playing around with for me to figure out how to get stuff to work when it was broke

yeah essentially you need to go into the UI editor. And you can either edit a chat piece that somebody else created or you can create your own using the screenshot I just gave you because that's from the SE labshelp section

yeah the problem is if you have your stream settings set too high then it doesn't look good. And the stream quality settings have nothing to do with your bit upstream

So you can have the video quality set really high but then you can have the upstream set to a different rate

so basically Twitch has a webpage to test your connection to tell you what the optimal rate should be for your system.

I think it's called twitch connection detector

It probed my system and it said that I would be optimal at either six or 7000 KPS

I would read some guide on how to configure your encoder properly and then test your system to see what your optimal upstream bandwidth is.

i'm not saying that you don't know your stuff but you should really know your numbers.

Cause if you do this like with minor modifications you can actually improve the quality of your stream

also one of the things that people underestimate, is switching from using advanced configuration to a simple one on the encoder.

Cause that can drastically improve the stream quality

I use this. It limits allowed characters mainly to standard English text. It DOES get a few false positives when people use certain smilies but that's pretty rare.

That seems a bit broad. I cannot permaban users just for writing with different character set. Sure, my rules specify English only, and CZ/SK allowed for streams in Czech language, but even then. That would be an overkill. And with false positives for certain smilies, I cannot do that. I'll have to test this if it detects some Czech characters. If it does, then I'll have to adjust it. But this will be only just a short timeout (like 5 seconds or so). BTW, I do have a zalgo protection on, but it seems to not catch all of the zalgo text. I cannot set the max number of zalgo chars to zero, minimum is 1.

Well don't ban then !! I just delete the messages. When I say FPs, personally I only get maybe 1 per month or 2 on my own channel. But you can see the structure anyway. Hi! Since yesterday I have an issue with all my SE Browser Sources. The Overlay and the browser in OBS are both 1080p but somehow it's misaligned. As a temporary fix I changed the browser source resolution to 2400x1400 but that's not ideal. For the record this happend to ALL my SE overlays, not just one. Does anyone know how to fix this? 🙏🏻

after i got affiliate and added 2FA to my account, twitch started giving me this error message every time i opened the app:

after this started happening, alert widgets such as the ones from Stream Elements stopped functioning, sure the chat widget worked fine but anything to do with follows, raids, subs etc. just did not show up at all.

simply go to `Twitch Dashboard` > `Settings` > `Stream`
and reset ur `Stream Key`, then after logging back into OBS everything should be working just as it did before setting up 2FA

If it's on Twitch, you can enable "Low latency" mode. Go to your Twitch dashabord > Settings > Stream and check the third option called "Latency mode".
Or just look for "latency" in the dashboard search bar on the top.

make sure to download the latest version of the app here is a solution you can try on your own pc only . go to pc (from desktop)and open the file explorer and change the settings if needed then close the file explorer right click on the shortcut to either streamelements or obs studio(from your desktop) and click on the open file location: and you may have to browse to the folder for obs studio and that you may have to change the folder permissions on your pc (and also i had to delete my guest account in order for this to work) and aka you gotta be a administrator to do this on your own) once changed to the administrator right click on the folder you have open for stream elements folder and by the way you gotta change all the obs files and plugin files on your pc to work if it doesn't save the settings can't be read only

Duplicating issue has to do with how obs was/is shut down. i just cleaned pc of anything to do with obs. installed obs and SE plugin only and have still the issue on and off depending on how i close or kill obs and how fast i reopen it. also, obs or SE plugin keeps OBS running in background somehow preventing me from deleting OBS main folders

I think I've figured it out... or at least some kind of workaround. Besides re-applying my setting from going back and forth on OBS settings by putting it to Normal Latency to Ultra Low Latency.

I think what actually did it... and what made Youtube listen to my OBS settings... was to set the Youtube Stream as my Primary Stream on the plugin.

...and it's actually staying and sticking to Ultra Low Latency now... while the others have been and are still staying on Ultra Low Latency just fine because they seem to pick up on the OBS settings primarily.

Seems Youtube piggy backs on the others when not Primary and takes liberties with some settings if it's not set to Primary. Weird. Maybe SE should fix that.

Came to report that it seems since I switched my Primary to Youtube. Whenever you update categories for Twitch... it cuts the stream for a sec, making a new separate VOD.

While Kick & Youtube seem unaffected.

Not a huge deal... I'm already used to changing categories manually for both Kick & Twitch before using this plugin.

But I would point out that there's issues with Youtube as a Primary affecting Twitch when updating category information... making Twitch restart a new stream, and Twitch being Primary (or more like Youtube not being the Primary) having the Latency set changed to normal latency automatically unless it's set as the Primary.

There is a "gifted sponsor tier", which doesn't make much sense, because on YouTube you can only gift the bottom tier.

This plugin is a mess. It worked just on the day I installed and tested, after that is just a bunch of bugs and issues and people from support seems to know less than me about how obs and this plugin works. I raised a ticket 2 days ago reporting my issues and everything they say is to uninstall other non related plugins and/or logout and login again on the se live plugin.
It's a shame because it had everything to be great, but seems that they should have ironed it better before releasing.

closing obs and relaunching almost always fixes the multiple canvas bug. I still haven't figured out how to use the native default canvas for youtube (my primary output). Something to do with the fact that I schedule my stream in yt itself versus simply "going live" on obs. Also any have any info about the scene duplication in vertical scenes? I know at least my vert scenes dup if I accidently press top right x instead of obs's native exit button

OK so in OBS user interface, we have the option for Twitch chat or multi chat which is read only. So what I'm proposing is a multi chat in the OBS interface that we can interact with, but another issue, I want multi chat to show up into my stream. But multi chat currently does not. New platform, lets you add any number of destinations for free, they handle the redirect. Setup takes a bit tho and you have to either pick a sponsor or pay 5usd for your account. Picking a sponsor is free, but it shows ads from time to time (but only to the Beam chat).

Open a second browser, not the main one you use. It could be anyone as long it doesn't have a different Twitch / youtube account opened

Click the login button, then quickly copy the URL of the browser window that opened
