do a speed test and see what your actual speeds are, i assume that you are hardlined into your internet, but if you aren't, also connect via a ethernet cable and then do the speed test. If you ahve more than 500mbs i would recommend you go with 4500 and see if it stabilizes. then go up by 250 until you find the spot that it stops (if you are on 6k now and it crashes then that is your cut off)

If other people are also using other internet services, then it could also be that the connection is getting bottlenecked with information. Since you're uploading to multiple sites, it's using 18kbs to upload to all 3 I would assume

I would also check to see if the issue is pertaining to a specific web-page by turning off the others while you are testing

so if you are having issues with twitch, turn off YT and TT, and see if TW works without any issues

I'm looking at doing my first Multistream later today, but the way the stream is structured is a little differently from normal. We will be live on Twitch for 3 hours and then we will change activities and ideally start the multistream by adding YouTube. Can I add the second stream while already live, or do I have to stop the stream briefly and then restart it with the 2 outputs?

Hey! I'm having an issue involving scrolling text for my follower and subscribers section on OBS. Basically I've been trying to have them both scroll on repeat without leaving a huge blank spot. However, only the sub section scrolls when I open OBS and even then it doesn't show the names of my most recent subscriber. I go onto SE, see that the Recent Follower section isn't active, so I set it up via emulate, press save and then all of a sudden neither are moving, only showing them as static text.

This is not a bitrate issue... I've also been experiencing this issue for the last two weeks... Change your primary broadcast to something different, then go I to your obs settings and clear the stream key in custom, set the original stream as your primary again and repeat the stream key clear in custom... This usually works for me right now

I've also at times had to close obs and repeat the above process to stop obs from going into a disconnecting/connecting loop

Hello all. I am a mod and a streamer. On my own SE I was successfully able to get my chat bot to have my own custom name. I was walking my stream partner(who I'm a mod for) to do the same, but the option to get a custom chat bot name is not appearing for her. I read online that alot of other streamer were having the same issue of that option not being availabl, however they fixed it by submitting a support ticket directly to SE. Is this still the case? Do I need to tell her to submit a ticket?

Good afternoon, everyone! I’m testing the multistream feature and ran into an issue. I’ve separated all the audio sources in OBS and have a gameplay scene with a game capture source (with the “Capture Audio (Beta)” option checked). However, when I create a canvas for TikTok and add the same game capture source, it duplicates the audio source in the mixer and in all other scenes in OBS.

Hey, I need some help. I accepted a Roblox sponsorship campaign through StreamElements, following all the steps and completing the required tasks. I got two people to use my referral link, which earned me $10 CAD ($5 CAD per person), and I finished the bonus task for $20 CAD. That totaled $30 CAD, which I was expecting to be paid on March 8th, 2025.

But today, on February 16th, 2025, I got an email saying I violated the terms of service, even though I followed all the rules. Can you help me figure out why this happened? I was supposed to get the full $30 CAD, and I really want to get that payment as planned.

If you're trying to show 'chat' as an overlay object so it shows on the screen. It SHOULD work for that. It has a ton of settings for transparent backgorund etc etc.. You just have to test it.

Found one issue and got one question.

1) Stream Error Screen

When using the SE Stop stream button it does not correctly finalize the twitch (as default account) stream and it would show the connection lost screen on twitch.

2) TikTok Activity

Has anyone or is there a practical solution to see the TikTok events in the chat window or anywhere? As it is atm I can only see actual chat messages and got no clue what otherwise happens on TikTok

There's loads of info about what bitrate you can stream at with what resolution, there's ideal bitrates to do that with that you might need to look into.

Sometimes you do need to reauth, it's really odd at times. Updates can tank your authentication. I've not had to reauth lately, but I did have to reauth Youtube a couple of times after one of the more recent updates. No issues since.

Normally that means deleting and re-adding the platform.

You should be able to go into Settings, there's an "Output Settings", It may say "CONNECTED", you should be able to click that and disconnect, then reconnect which should force a reauthentication.

So I was having some issues setting up selive for multistreaming. When trying to connect with youtube I ended up with multiple entries. I cannot seem to find a way to delete them and the most obvious way of removing them is greyed out for every option. Anyone know what im doing wrong? Each youtube channel you connect will create two entries. One is for 'standard' stream layout (horizontal) the other is meant to be used for Youtube Shorts (vertical)

—then it opens another window

then that’s it if u have the atrium vertical plugin with everything set up already u only have to hit the little yellow start vertical box and it will appear on all ur canvus that u made..

2nd way is source clone a plugin for obs it copy’s whatever source and adds it there ..

Since TikTok doesn't use a Stream Key like Twitch. Use a Login Method. Go to Settings > Stream > Service: Choose "Custom". It shows Destination, Server and Stream Key right? Ignore that part. See the un check box "Use authentication"? Check it, it will pop out "Username and Password" Write down your TikTok Username and Password. Make sure you use your official tiktok username not the Display one (aka the bold one in lowercase letters) Oh and another thing. It can bug out. You'll have to re-enter your username and password every time you re-open OBS. Someone did told me that SE is waiting on TikTok's APi or something like that, so we'll just have to deal with minor inconvenience here and there.

It does, but you'd have to create the elements/alerts to add the alerts you weant and then add those overlays, for each platform, to your scene

I logged into Youtube, setup the alert box I wanted, got the URL

DId the same for twitch, then took those alert boxes and added them into my scenes. Again, I don't know of anyway to combine alerts into one alert box

Hi, I have a problem setting up Banned Words filter for SE bot.
I added some phrases that "cheap viewers" bots use but noticed it not working so I went back to settings and created a rule with simple "test" word banned. But when I use the test filters tool at the top and put "test" as a message, it say it does not match any rules. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi all random question but basically I added my alt tiktok account to my obs multistream thingy ma bob, and I clicked remove and re added it but when it goes to auth it via the web browser it logs back into the wrong account, so i changed my default browser again it logged back into the wrong account once it logs into the https://selive.streamelements.com/auth web address 😦

I've been using it for months now and minus the odd hiccup it's really cool!

I don't think that is possible as OBS has to render two different formats and it encodes both seperately. I would reccomend having a look at your resolutions and quality settings if you're experiencing a heavy impact on your setup

Okay, so, does anyone know how to fix the "Subathon" element? It's not giving the right amount of time for a gift sub bomb, but it's not just "it's only giving credit for 1 sub". e.g:

Foolishly, I decided to update my perfectly working fine OBS and now I've lost my chat, activity feed and stream info manager that I thought was native to OBS. All I know is that before I did the update I didnt have the add element to my sources window, I didnt have Streamelements live support button under the controls and the SE Live version number on the bottom right of my OBS. Also I had my audio tracks split, so Spotify wouldn't go into the vod, and get muted. With this plugin, that option seems to be gone now?

Hi there! I am running into an issue with the multistreaming plugin. It's currently working with tiktok correctly but when I added a scene for the youtube side and selected it, it still appeared as a black screen over there.

Update: Tried restarting my computer and now I get this when I click start stream...

I made the command "$(user) gave $(1:) a biiiiig hug! Platonically of course... unless?" but it keeps replacing $(user) with whatever you put after !hug. Cuz I've seen bots just circumvent the automod I've set, and when I test the banned phrases (which I've set up with regex enabled), it didn't catch the phrase, despite it clearly being such it should be.

Also, how do I test for Unicode characters similar to English alphabet, so bots cannot circumvent that? Without making the regex syntax riddiculously complicated.

One thing is people cirumventing profanity checks with zalgo and stuff, another thing is spam bots circumventing spam messages check with zalgo and stuff, where I actually need to ban the spam account fast. And being basically the only moderator on my own channel (I have two moderators, but neither knows English good enough to moderate English chat, they're my friends, btw), I have to pay attention to my screen I'm streaming, and have to pay attenton to chat. It's impossible for me to spot any naughty in chat reasonably fast every time.

I've set up Twitch built-in automod as well, but it's not as advanced as the automod of StreamElements. If only the banned phrases worked.

I'm not sure what happened, but the tester used to work, and used to correctly categorize banned phrases. It doesn't anymore. Not sure if it's just the tester that doesn't work, but that's why I'm asking.
