Also, is it required to have a "primary" output? Many times I want to use one output and not the other, so there wouldn't be a "primary" one for me

Hmm..there's a big issue with scenes getting duplicated when I change scene collections.. it duplicates scenes multiple times and they are empty sources. Also the vertical canvas seems to be independent of the scene collections. I have tried multiple times to edit one vertical canvas and the edits are applied to all scene collections so.. its very annoying have to edit my vertical canvas when I change scene collections. Any Advice?

I haven't encountered this mainly because I'm not setting up too many sources, but linking my main vertical scene per Stream Elements scene so when I choose scene one, it feeds the stuff I've setup without having to do all that.

I did this all last night in less than 5 mins. I am using the Aitum Vertical plugin to feed over to SE though, via linking the main scene. kinda like what virtual camera does.

yeah.. Im just using the multi streaming provided vertical at the moment. I had thought if I changed scene collections that it would have its own for each scene collection but no its.. the same for all. any edits I do are reflected across all scene collections

i swapped over to stable, updated

I kinda did it but in a weird way:

TL:DR: You need to make an overlay for both platforms separately on StreamElements website, by logging in with each account and setting each chat overlay by itself, which will give you a different browser source for each one. But yes, it can be done on StreamElements.

Long version:

1. Log in with both the Youtube account and the twitch account in streamelement website.

2. On your Main account (The one with that already had the chat) Go to Overlays and copy the overlay with the chat bubble you were using.

3. Switch to your secondary account (The ones without the chat atm) and go to Overlays, paste the overlay there, it should grab the chat fron that platform as well as the alerts and other information.

The downside to this is that you'll need two browser sources, one for each platform, and you'll need to arrange the overlay so they don't overlap with each other. What I did was I also added the alerts from youtube on the same overlay as the chat, so it doesn't feel as much of a waste of a browser source. Hope that helps.

today im trying to do exactly the same thing and when i click the 'Start Streaming' button in Broadcast settings, it fails for both yt channels and says: 'Youtube API request failed:'

the stream key for each yt channel is set to 'create new (RTMP, variable)'.

Yeah I have a bunch of keys I generated for different things. but if you use scheduled, you can force it to a specific key etc etc. But when you start your stream, how are you picking the key to use? Are you setting it 'manually' with the stream key ID itself or just pointing it to the proper one?

Sort of, I had created a scheduled stream, then when I started the SHorts version, they both started using the same key for whatever reason. It's probably just a matter of sorting out how to do the streams at the same time etc.

You could just uninstall SE OBS and install OBS
or TURN OFF the SE features you dont want.
These can be found in both the Docks and SE Live Docks.

HOW TO Select a YouTube scheduled stream.
Ok, Ive spent time trying to work this out after my fail today.

Here is how I found works.

I set

YouTube as my Primary in stream in the settings/stream

I started stream

• A new window will ask and you can select the scheduled stream here.
  when you click start streaming in the NEW window, it will say you need to set up a broadcast.

Click Mange
You get a second option to select your scheduled stream here. ( dont know why yet,. maybe this can be simplified more )

No you cant go live until you have uploaded or something, I dont recall but its not a big hurdle.

But you can make partner with 500 Subscribers, you only need 1K subscribers to make partner if you are not in a YPP country

if you cant stream live - try some of your old streams as uploads untill you can

I do this, often it stops rolling when you save, on the browser

So with Youtube, make sure you have it set to not 'auto stop' That's why it'll go 'down' if you lose connection. Auto Start is a good thing, I turned off "auto stop" so I had a disconnect buffer if something goes weird.

I made an mp4 visual reminder for following on Twitch, but it just keeps endlessly looping. I tried asking Google, but it's instructions are not helpful or accurate. It says there should be a "show after a specific time" option, but that's nowhere to be found.

Does it have to not be an mp4? Does it need to be a certain type to have the option to trigger after 15 minutes, instead of endlessly looping? Or does it even exist?

SE has stopped replying to the command. Other commands still work fine. Is there a reason for this please ? (and before anyone asks, yes the command is enabled !).

The Settings window that shows up when you try to Start Stream while multi-streaming is cut off. I can't resize or move the window. I can't even scroll down. There is no way for me to start streaming because there's no way for me to save those settings. I've restarted my computer, changed display settings, checked the graphics card - NOTHING. Good afternoon. I have a question about a problem I have with OBS. The application works perfectly with regard to notifications. But suddenly, the more I play and someone follows me, the more notifications stop appearing. The solution for this is usually that I have to go directly to OBS and click on "Update" in the settings tab and after a while when I click on "Repeat" the alert is played. But it really is a rather annoying problem since you have to go in, out, click on update and that... Has anyone had something similar happen to them or know how to solve this problem? There are a ton of factors that mix in to WHY notifications will be delayed and others completely missed. My experience is that Youtube's notification can be hit or miss. Twitch, for example, doesn't ever seem to have issues. I can't speak to other platforms, but the way notifications are sent with Youtube is usually the culprit.

Yeah it's tough to say what could be causing it. I've seen delays before and they suddenly clear up with no explanation. It's highly possible Twitch itself is having issues with notifications right now. I usually have a bot monitoring my channel and announcing alerts as well.

Honestly, I do a few things to cover my butt. I create a Veritcal canvas for the 'shorts' jsut so I can tell them a part, then I do some stuff with studio.youtube.com to guarantee they are using their own keys. By default, all you have to do with Youtube is send the vertical layout and it will automatically convert it. HOwever, I use other tools that I want to be able to use while streaming that allow me to show viewer count by platform where it splits Regular Youtube and Shorts into their own counts.

So I have some questions because up until two days ago I've been talking to tech support trying to get a roll back to SE.Live Core ver. 24.11.27.268 and they are currently ghosting me now after I asked some hard questions. So I want to ask one of those questions here and see if anyone can make this make sense for me. They say swap to the stable version. My question was this. Just turn the sliders off for all but your default. If twitch is your default you wont be able to turn off the top slider. I'm not sure yet on these duplicates that are on the list.

Thanks mate. What I am wanting to do is remove it entirely and get the original window back. I wanted to roll back to version for it so I can actually add in more detailed information on my stream like you could in version SE.Live Core ver. 24.11.27.268. support won't give me the roll back and the multi-streaming set up is a dumbed down version of the original. I was hoping there was a setting some where to swap it out entirely if you're a single streamer. Would I be correct in assuming they don't have that option then?

Looks like going live on tiktok is not a stream elements issue but just a tiktok issue in general. I have Live Access on the actual tiktok app on my phone and it wont even let me go life there. @TikTokPolicy on X has said that although tiktok has been restored, they have to gradually reopen functionality of the app, so i dont think anyone in all of the app is able to go live

If you’re having issues with game capture make sure you’re running OBS in administrative mode. Some games’ anti cheat prevents game capture from working if you don’t do admin mode

I have my youtube and twitch accounts connected, but it's already getting weird cause my youtube account shows up twice
but then even when I have one disabled, when I try to start the multistream, I put in all the info for both streams and then OBS tells me that I have to do it again from "manage broadcast"
but then if I do THAT, it starts two streams on youtube
also, it keeps trying to set Twitter as my primary after I start the stream from manage broadcast

So you don't have to add the YouTube again. Unless you change the canvas to vertical

Yes so you are already mainly streaming to YouTube so if you check both of the YouTubes you have in that list you will get an error

So change the other YouTube to vertical canvas for example and you will have no problem

Alerts are tied to an account when they are created; if you want alerts for multiple platforms or accounts you will need to create alerts on each one and then add them all to OBS.

@late delta It's tied to the Canvas settings. Anything set to Default Canvas will base it's codec off of whatever your primary output in OBS uses, but you can set the encoder in other Canvasas manually.. which I had to do for YT shorts.

This problem occurs when the device you want to capture exceeds the maximum resolution of the capture card.

This problem occurs because the capture card must have a maximum resolution of 1080p and perhaps on the device you want to capture, perhaps a console, you have 2k or 4k resolution.

or also disable an option on the console that I think was called something about color space, when activating it you also get that error. It is usually on PS4 and PS5 related to HDR.

When you start on SE Live, you must be taken to a page where you must be approved to do Live through another means. And prove that you are a content creator with an account where they will ask you for a session and capture. Remember that if you connect to Twitch you must have a number of followers. You can try with the platform where you have more followers so that they approve you quickly. They also ask you to indicate the views put the real one, if it is >10 put that or the range you have.

The same thing happened to me. It was because I installed the latest version of OBS, which was 31.1, that this problem was occurring. I had to uninstall OBS and install version 30.2.3, which is the most stable for me.

The numbering problem is because maybe your OBS scenes already have the same name. It's just a matter of changing it to a name that you haven't entered.

The same applies if you may have the vertical plugin, if you have scenes with the same names you should change them.

First time here, updated to SE.Live Beta for multistreaming and finally tweaked bitrate settings enough to get 2 concurrent streams. However today was just running 1 stream though normal channels and every so often (30 minutes to 1 1/2 hrs) OBS would freeze, hard lock, and wouldn't initiate automatic reconnect when I have it enabled.

Having this issue where if I leave my BRB screen that plays a bunch of clips on my vertical canvas that plays while I'm still streaming on another canvas that's horizontal, that's audio still comes thru and I gotta go back and stop it. It's not that difficult honestly. If you have your default canvas, and you create a 'new' canvas lay out... just link the 'new' one or what not to your 'default canvas' scene that corresponds. When you change your 'main' scenes, it'll change the other canvas

It was pretty simple for me to setup a shorts/vertical canvas, get the scenes setup and the linked. Works a charm.

Hello everyone, hope ya'll are doing great, I am in need of help with my stream elements x obs. the problem is that for one of my scenes, which is the main scene of the live stream, is supposed to capture the game I'm playing. But unfortunately it is glitched and when I put the game capture in the scene it is tuck on the top left of the screen and I cannot move it and correct it no matter what, I have a attached a picture to demonstrate. As you can see on the top left of the canvas you can see a red box. That is supposed to be the game capture. Please help me.

If you click stream elements tab at the top you can revert to stable updates so that youre no longer on the beta. I believe only the beta has multi stream available. If it is in the stable version of SE.Live, you can just disable all outputs and close out the dock

If they are off, they won't be used.
