To reset goals:

  • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
  • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

this has been asked a lot here but can't find a straight answer

I have a problem with community gifted subs alerts not being recognized by SE Overlay. When I test with the emulator, it works perfectly, but when the gifts actually happen it doesn't work. I can see it on the SE dashboard as 10 gifts, but the alerts get sent in as a gifted sub variation. If I disable the gift sub variation, then it goes back to the default one.

I even tried this with a brand new overlay, the only difference is the first alert says 0 subs instead of the actual amount. I have no idea why and i'm honestly so frustrated

Does anyone know what the dock name is that shows who subscribed and so on on OBS? I just updated OBS and for some reason, the dock or window that used to show who subscribed and so on got removed, I think If I just know the name, then it should be easy to find and add it back

Is there any way to get rid of that stupid annoying "Pause Alerts / Skip Alert / Mite Alerts" coloumn? It doesn't make any sense to first have the Big SE Logo, and the Burger-Menue, then haveing those HUUUUUUUUUUUGE buttons, then have not deletable "New sponsorships offers" (even if there is a cross, to get rid of it, which just doesn't do anything), then haveing some lines of what actually IS IMPORTANT HERE and then another SE Logo, with all the Social Medias and stuff you also don't need, and don't want to have there....

I mean, really SE, what the F is wrong with you? Why can't you give us streamers a clean ACTIVITY LIST without any BS?!
Streamlabs is MUUUUUCH better here, even if your Activity List (as small at it is because of all the nonsense) is much prettier.

After chatting with a few members of the team, we think you might have a scuffed version of our Activity Feed?

Are you using SE Live to use the Activity Feed? Or are you using a Custom Browser Dock in OBS?

If you're using a Custom Browser Dock in OBS to view your Activity Feed, you're viewing a non-optimized web version of the Activity Feed - that may be why you're seeing the StreamElements logo and all of our social logos

SE.Live, or the pop-out activity feed from your SE Dashboard are the ideal ways to view the Activity Feed, I would recommend installing SE.Live (as it also gives you access to add & edit alerts directly inside OBS, plus multi-platform chat if you are multistreaming)

I am using OBS Studio and a custom browser Dock (as I used it with Streamlabs also).
With streamlabs I never had any issues with the custom dock, and SL also has SL-OBS.
I unfortunately can't use SE-OBS, because I am using a lot of OBS-Plugins and VST-Effects, as I am a Music Streamer. So, as far as I know for compatibility with plugins and especially VST Plugins, SE-OBS is no option for me.

Is it a permission thing, or a SE webpage design thing, but when I try to change my current automod timeouts to Warn & Deletes it won't let me hit the SAVE button https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/banned-words. Hi there, I've recently set up a subathon timer, but I'm encountering an issue. I'd like the timer to add twice the amount of time based on the money tipped. For example, if someone tips €2, I want 4 minutes to be added to the timer, and for a €10 tip, 20 minutes should be added. Currently, the timer is only adding 2 minutes regardless of the tip amount. Is there a way to adjust this so that the timer correctly adds time based on the tip amount? Thanks for your help!

Due to how people dump and run YT links get the yeet so that's why the bot ablobnomcookie it.

To answer your question you'd choose the merch widget instead of the alerts one. Just click the ➕ and search for merch.

You misunderstand me, my apologies for wording it improperly. Inside of Streamelements you have the option to use overlays. Inside of those overlays you can add labels that let you know when a recent stream action has been done (I.E: Recent subscriber on Twitch) and the text on the screen will update to the most recent Twitch follower's name. This is natively possible in Streamelements because you can log in with your Twitch account. There are other websites that will let you know when someone follows you on other platforms and give you an updating label for that just like Streamelements does natively for Twitch. I am looking to implement that updating label from the other websites into a Streamelements overlay.

Morbid curiosity... has the randomization algorithm for variant selection in overlays, when multiple variations match and not all have a 100% chance, changed recently? I've noticed that certain variations of some of our alerts feel like they've gotten WAY less common than they used to be.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Hi there, so for me the Bot Counter (Dashboard) wont work. It dont show anything on chat. Not that there is a Counter, also it dont give any Count feedback. This also happens with the new Ground Control. When i Add an Bot Cound by myself via own Command all works. Only Dashboard and tool wont do anything.

Isnt there someone that can tell me how to link a Youtube chat to streamelenents?
All and i mean all videos on Youtube quickly goes into Twich and type something and the text shows on stream. But how about Youtube?
I can see my background of the chat, but if I type anything, it dont show.
So, im guessing you need to link the adress from the Youtube chat somewhere?
Some advice, or a link to a video shoing how to do it, please?
Sorry for asking this again, but I have to before I give up on streamelenents, as I cant get the chat to work on Youtube.

Honestly that is a very good explanation there I wish I knew what exactly is wrong because clearly something is but me not being a staff, dev, or even one that has downloaded it I do not know the answer. Which is why I said my best guess is to uninstall it and reinstall it but I could see if I can figure it out by installing it myself however hopefully you do get a better answer than my guess from someone.

Unless there is some sort of setting that you have to enable for it to show within the dashboard but again that's just a guess.

Good day everyone. I have the current problem that the watchtime resets after every stream. People keep there watchtime but at one point it just keeps resetting after stream ends. Example: Someone having 3h basically, then watched 30min so it's 3h 30min but after ending the stream it's 3h again. Someone know how to fix it?

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Hello! So... not sure if this is possible, but I want to make a bit goal that is 30 days long (NOT the last 30 days-- 30 days long starting today, and ending on a certain date -- I know that the 'in the last 30 days option exist but the problem with that is those last 30 days are always moving) I saw that Streamelements can do this! But... the total is the amount of bits I've even gotten in the history of ever and that number is... a bit intimidating to make a goal off of since I've been streaming 5 years now... Also, the goal bar looks like the smallest silver of a percent.
Is there a way to do this based on a 'wiped' bits starting from 0? I know there's 'session' goals, but I wanted this to be ongoing throughout the month.
(First photo is the number I got portraying, vs the goal I want) (It's completed 22x times over 😅 -- Second is calculating the goal into the total so it isn't at a 100%.. it still looks ridiculous)
I love love LOVE that it says when it ends. Just not sure how to get this to function properly or if anyone knows any HTML to adjust it, a similar widget, or something.

It really seems the OBS doesn't have support for paint-order: stroke fill, and it is using fill as the primary option to draw (however, I couldn't find anything related to that).
A suggestion would be trying an alternative for a similar effect, like text-shadow (a little more verbose):

  • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
  • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Is there a way to specify a game when some have the same titles in the !setgame command? The problem I am having is, using "!setgame Delta Force" (on a Stream Deck key) sets the category to the wrong Delta Force. Presumably the first one in the drop down when you use the dash board. Depends what you're talking about.

All our overlays/elements work with all OS's.
SE.Live is windows/Mac only (though Mac version is very outdated).
Ground control works with all OS's though they haven't gotten Linux out yet due to not getting it quite tested yet (but actually is available)

Im here for some help with Merch Alerts on Fourthwall, please. I've followed all the videos, I know how to do the alert set up. But the alerts for FW purchases will not play. When i emulate an alert I made, it comes up on stream. When I play the actual purchase alert, which I can see on my Activity Feed, it wont play. Even the test merch shows on the activity feed, and when I play the FW purchase it wont play. I already watched your video on how to make the alerts and I had already done everything as Im supposed to.

You can see here they're shown separately. There isn't an option to specifically make it a FW alert, this is VERY FRUSTRATING. I felt like an idiot last night because people have to tell me theyre making purchases, and I have to go through everything to find what it is.

I currently have both alert versions up on OBS, and Emulate works on both, coming up on my activity feed as a SE merch purchase, and I can replay it. So when I go to then do the same to the purchase showing under FW from last nights stream, there's no alert.

Before I answer this question a couple things.

Yes you can merge.
Once "merged" it can't be undone and you risk losing everything on both accounts should you decide to.
Everything is separate of another and can't be combined (Alerts being primary desire along with bot commands)
Only benefit of merging is being able to quickly swap back and forth between the platforms.
Both accounts would have different usernames for their links.

If you already logged into both platforms separately you'd need to make a ticket for staff to merge them.

You can't directly delete specific users from the "Top Chatters" leaderboard on StreamElements. However, you can:

  1. Reset All Chat Stats: Go to StreamElements dashboard > "Loyalty" > "Loyalty Settings" > Reset stats (this resets everything).
  2. Manually Deduct Points: Reduce points for banned users to lower their ranking.
  3. Hide Leaderboard: Temporarily or permanently hide the leaderboard.

For a tailored solution, consider contacting StreamElements support.

I just setup SE.Pay for donations for my stream. Setup all the custom stuff. I wanted to test the alerts or how it worked so I tried to give myself a $5 donation. After entering my credit card information, it then went from my screen to a different screen with a different name, with different amounts. It still says tip CoolHwip, but only has a PayPal prompt. Keep in mind I did NOT setup PayPal, as I REFUSE to do business with PayPal, ever! Can anybody explain/help with this? I want to put this feature for my viewers but I don't know exactly what is going on here. Attached are screenshots.

Unfortunately you weren't the first person to login with an account that had the username CoolHwip and because of that you have CoolHwip-XXXX with the latter being a bunch of numbers.

Unless the other person is kind enough to change their name (or logout and back in as I can't tell which name it's supposed to be) you'll have to settle with your "ugly" user link or have support change it to something else if available.

This is more just a statement than a help request, but if SE isn't going to be fixing the "wrong name shows in activity feed if an alternative name is specified on a tip" issue any time soon, maybe y'all should just disable the ability to specify an alternate name until it is, just for safety -- the way things are right now, there's a very large chance that in cases where both the user and the streamer don't want the person tipping to be publicly identified, they'll get identified anyhow because the streamer calls out the wrong name.

I realize I can turn off the "allow alternate name" feature for my stream specifically, but the current state of things is very broken and the only way a streamer would know there's a danger there is to accidentally shout out the wrong name, at which point it's too late to undo.

I haven’t violated any terms and conditions although they say I have, and also I’ve spent my money on this campaign which is part of the bonus just to not get reimbursed. Hi guys. im using the SE overlay "Alpha Rotating Feed v1.3" Layer for showing my latest followers, tips, subs, etc. Since a few days i see a strange Letter behind the names of the people who did follow or sub or anything. It shows a H, G, X or something. It completely makes no sense and i have no idea where this is coming from. Here is a screenshot.

here it says "Timo_74 21 A" - Timo_74 cheered 21 Bits.. But what is that A ?
