hi ppl, I have some alerts that work when I hit emulate in the streamelements editor, with sound and everything... however the bits don't work when they really donate... do you know if there is some place where you have to set the minimum bits? (in streamelements I have it set to 0 so it shows all of them)

There is definitely alert issues going on lately. I've seen it happen to others. The other day, 20+ gifted subs, not a single trace of it in streamelements. The alert ITSELF worked when it happened, but anything else (activity feed/seeesion sub count on streamelements) didn't populate or reflect that it had happened. Then a couple days later, the follow and sub alerts weren't working at all. Today, it was the raid alert - and the raid didn't even appear in the activity feed.

And I keep seeing that the general response is "relog into streamelements"...everyone does it, never fixes the issue. It's like, not on our end.

Hey, I feel a bit silly asking this, but I am seeing that Follows work correctly in my Activity Feed and notifications, but for some reason Raids don't?
I've been trying to debug why this is, including testing with offline raids with someone I trust, but no matter what it shows up in the activity feed.
Emulating the raids works correctly.

for my own channel, i see people i have previously modded there. and then i added one of my friends as a mod just to test that i didn't have to manually add them on that screen. they were able to use mod commands, and did not show up on that screen. and they had level 500 per the !level command.

I think /raid is a editor thing. So if you only a mod, you cant raid, you have to be editor too. Thats a Twitch thing, not SE.

Yeah, it seems to work. However IF I remember correctly back then (1-2 years ago) when I set it up, there was such an option that I could trigger (activate) the chat and it showed the hypothetical conversations to see how it can be seen "in real stream". I guess it would be a good idea to implement such solution as this way it helps and speeds up testing the chat features without the need to go to Twitch chat.

Got some little problem with follower goal.
I added a stream package from nerdordie and loaded all alerts and overlay into streamelements and they work great, but on the site page of the widgets.

I have the follower goal widgets which is updated each time i emulate a new follower but it don't update on my obs, but i receive the other follower alerts, i have refreshed source cache and save settings but nothing.

If you mean subscribe on youtube that unfortunately is "intended by design" on their side and not something we are unable to lower. There are chances you might get something sooner but beyond that it is not guaranteed.

The new Elements system is capable of that without the approval.

On YouTube I've seen several streamers show chat messages during a stream (and even hand pick them). Does Stream elements have a function to do that?
Or is that from Streamyard or another streaming software tool?

Hi. I'm hoping someone can help me find where a command is coming from. Anytime there's an alert for Follow, Cheer, or Sub, all the stuff that is in my overlay works as it should, and in addition, the Streamelements "mod" posts a thank-you in the chat. I'm certain I created these thank-you messages, because they include the text version of one of my emotes. If you are attempting to stream to one streaming platform, but SE.Live is attempting to stream to another, please try the following:

Navigate to StreamElements menu, on top of OBS > Logout > Login

After you have logged back in navigate to File > Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Reconnect

Custom Fonts

Steps:

  1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
  2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
  3. Click on Enable Custom Font
  4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

Thank you. Now that you said that I look further into it and it looks like I was deceived by Googles search results. On the google search page YouTube is in the video titles but when you click the link for the video the word YouTube is removed from the title.

All alerts work in the stream if I emulate them via stream elements, but why don't I see any activity from a new subscriber in the activity feed? The new member Does anyone have an idea? Hello,
I have a problem with the activity feed where recent follows and recent gifted subs do not show up. They both also do not update the session data. For both of these, the overlay and alert that plays when the event is stimulated does show up, but the numbers themselves for the goals are not updated when there is a new follow/gifted sub. When I emulate the event, it will work just fine, but on stream it does not.
Is there a fix to this? Every other alert works fine, it's just follows and gifted subs that don't show up on the activity feed. This problem has been happening since end of November.

nevermind, i managed to fix it. So instead i will reply with the solution so that it can be recorded how to fix this issue for anyone in the future.

Resetting my twitch stream key, is what fixed the failed to join bot issue. logged out of streamelements after parting the bot again, logged in, invited the bot and it worked. not sure if anything is necessary other than resetting the stream key

Someone here might have had the same problem as me, I want another name for my bot, when I link the bot to my account it prints all the commands in chat under my name like it should. But when I make a account just for the bot it goes back to StreamElements instead of the bot name after I've linked them. I've tested to write with the bot account in my chat, rejoin streamelements and reconnect streamelements with the bot account but it won't print with the bot account

Everything was working fine. done multiple tests, had overlays in a browser tab and in OBS (SE.live) did a test stream for bandwidth and such - now the alerts only work in the editor wont show in a browser tab or in obs SE.live tried making a new alrt overlay that doesnt show outside the editor either.

Alright, I;m gonna post this in here one more time. I've seen others say similar and all be given the same "solution" that has absolutely no effect.

At random, over the last month or so, alerts stop working. One day, the follower alert won't work. Another, the sub alert won't etc etc. Inconsistent. That, and gift subs don't contribute to sub goals using the subscription goal labels, nor do gift subs appear in the "activity feed" on the SE dashboard.

The issue is not OBS. It's not a me issue, and as many have tried and failed, re-logging into SE has absolute zero effect. So please, can we PLEASE get confirmation that this is ACTUALLY being looked into? Cause this is CLEARLY an issue. In it's current state I literally have to migrate elsewhere because it's SO bad. So again...please...no cookie cutter responses. I know that's harsh, but I've searched and seen it suggested MANY times for the same issue, and upon talking to the original people who posted those messages, they all moved over to StreamLabs or elsewhere.

At OBS start, audio Output and audio Monitor are in sync, but over time Monitor develops increasing latency, lagging behind Output. If I switch Scene Collections and then switch back, Output and Monitor are once again in sync, and a cycle of gradually increasing latency in Monitor begins again. Within a few minutes, Monitor is a full 2 seconds behind Output. Is there a way to keep Monitor and Output in sync without manual intervention?

Has anyone else noticed that even if you have a Subscriber or Cheer count label in an overlay set to show the amount of subs by a calendar based time period that the label does NOT updated at the end of the month on the 31st as it shows in the settings?

Just a FYI, Bot is still broken at this time. Shoutout commands are giving error on twitch for last game played. Also, going on for MONTHS now, variable for username is messed up. 50% chance of it putting the moderators name instead of the username in the SO command. As mentioned, been going on for MONTHS. Also, massive delay on custom commands being complete by the bot. I know you said in known-issues that it was resolved, definitley not resolved at this time.

And big delay and error on the last game played variable. The wrong name thing though has literally been going on for half a year. I know a lot of streamers working on migrating away from stream elements just because of that and the number of outages this past year. It's been bad.

Hey folks. I'm wondering if anyone else has had the chat bot not respond to only one out of all its commands. I don't know if it's a Twitch limitation due to YouTube competition, but here's the situation: my bot has several custom commands that involve posting a link in chat or mentioning my other projects and channels. (Even followers can post links.) They all have worked perfectly since I made them about 2 years ago. I used to have a working !yt command for dropping my YouTube link. This worked for a few months but then stopped working (I wanna say half a year ago?). Sometimes I was able to trigger it through an alias, but even that stopped working not long after.

I've tried recreating the command multiple times with various names, changing permissions (SE and my custom bot name are both Moderators FYI), turning on/off custom bot name, and disconnecting/reconnecting my bot via the control panel within SE.Live OBS. Nothing has worked, so I've just been manually pasting my YT channel link into chat, quite annoyingly. Anyone have an idea what's going on here? Is it SE or Twitch holding me back? :0

Can I resize custom widgets? I have bough custom widget from Nerd Or Die and I've imported them into my overlay. But the elements are to big, I want to make them smaller. However resizing at the sides or corners just pushes the elements out of the box (see screenshot below). Is there a way to actually "resize" it?

I stream on both youtube and twitch, but I switched my twitch to match my youtube, which my youtube owns the username (which is chefiejay) so when I switched it on twitch to chefiejay, it added a bunch of random letter numbers, is there a way to edit the URL to something shorter like "chefiejay1" ? Is the bot, or the bot user, a moderator and an editor in the twitch user manager?

User level needed "Super Moderator" and you can try to use alias if needed. If it doesnt let you change the title or the game it is probably a hierarchy problem

yo guys, does anyone knows how to change my email in my streamelements profile it says blablah@mail.blah (example, not literally) but its my old email and i have new one but cant find where i can change it. !!UPDATE!! I just saw that i didnt verify my email, but just now i saw this message on top "Your email address is pending verification. Your email address will not be updated until verified. - send again", i pressed send again, went to my email opened streamelements letter and there was a big button that says verify email address i pressed it, it redirected me back to streamelements site but on bottom right it said "something went wrong verifying your email address" what should i do with that

because if yo do, you can use "AirDroid Cast" to duplicate your phone screen on your PC this option has less privacity but could be a good fix if your BlueStack not work

Question: I've done marathon timers and whatnot in the past, but I'm feeling creative and was wondering if it's possible to start a timer and then remove time based on subs/bits bought or gifted, is that possible? I know there's a way of manually subtracting time, but I'm trying to do a reverse subathon - I'll start at a high timer and have time removed. Options?
