That error should not crash OBS, as it is a "Report only" issue, but yeah, those messages are annoying and appear quite frequently in SE Overlays.
My suggestion is that you recreate your overlay on SE overlay editor and use the new link on OBS, that should fix those annoying messages.

And in case the "Report only" messages still pop up after some time (I saw episodes of that happening some days after recreating the overlay), I would recommend that you open a ticket with the staff here.

I have, yes. Funny thing is, the error also appears in the overlay editor and the preview. It shows {countername} until I refresh either the preview page or the cache of the browser source in SLOBS. Same thing with the overlay editor

$(count variable +#) and $(count variable -#) both function as intended

Manually Removed the counter variables, Manually put in said counters. Removed commands, rewrote and replaced commands.

SE.Live is in with OBS 30. Checked File Integrity of OBS just in case.

Unless there's an issue with Integration with other applications, such as Streamer.bot, however that's just a matter of HTTP Get and Post requests, so I fail to see that being an issue, abut also attempted with Streamer.bot closed. Same issue.

While offline/not streaming:

$(getcount variable) functions as intended.

Additional:

Streamelements was removed and rejoined as well in twitch chat, so "refreshing the bot" didn't fix the problem.

Also, resigned in like you should. the whole log-out and relog-in for re-authentication with Twitch.

I've even done the whole Port check, Router Check, System's connection to the internet, having someone else do the commands, etc.

Hi I just signed up for streamelements for Youtube but I want to switch to stream on Twitch, after I installed it It won't let me start stream under Twitch using obs. I logged out out and started with Twitch and parted the bot and and then joined then did the /mod streamelements and obs is still trying to go to Youtube to stream. When I load an overlay with counters, it now shows the number instead of {countername} at first, however if I change the count in the new counters tab, nothing happens at all, the number doesn't change until I refresh the overlay but, if I change the counter via a chat command it reverts to showing {countername}.. sorry to @ you, but the support ticket rezponse I got was that counters are custom and not their problem.

First time streamer here and this is probably an easy fix. I'm doing small recordings before I try to do my first stream and I keep hearing my alerts echo during the recording in OBS. I have alerts as a Browser source and then I have my Desktop Audio. I have the game being recorded through a display capture. I figure it due to the browser source and the desktop audio going at the same time but I can't figure out how to have both with no echoes.

So it seems that there is a lot of results of people having issues setting their bot name, you can tell by searching 'bot name' in the search menu. I find this a bit disturbing as it goes a while back and it hasn't been posted to #known-issues afaik. Won't be expecting this feature to work anytime soon..

i had the issue where it wasn't using the account i created for the bot so what i did to get it to work was set it to use my name then unlinked the twitch account i made for my bot, restarted obs then reconnected my bot account and it's been working ever since

Solution is usually remove the bot, logout from Streamelements, login again, add the bot back.
This will refresh your token and SE will load your new affiliate status.

Hey Guys, I need help with an issue that I am facing with the YouTube banner. I updated the banner on my YouTube channel and then checked if its updated, and the new banner shows up. BOOM, its back to the old banner after some time. No matter how may times I have tried changing the banner, it reverts to the old one. Serious sound notification problem (alerts and widgets)
Need to be able to display the notification in the correct order

• sound alert sounds first
• after it the bot reads the text of the message
  The problem is that the notification sound and the bot sound sound at the same time, this terribly spoils the entire perception of the notification
  Need to add your own delay or wait until the notification ends and only then should the bot read out the text of the message

Just had a quick question about the latest version of StreamElements SE.live which lists as 27.2.2 obs when launched. I installed it on my Mac and when I launch it I get a popup window asking me if I want to check for updates automatically or not... neither button works. I've rebooted and it keeps popping up and asking, but neither button (don't check or check automatically) work. The window just sits there and does nothing. Preferences has check for updates automatically checked already by default, so really not sure what value a popup was anyway, but it definitely doesn't accept input. Is this just me? I was running OBS 30.0.0 before installing SE, so perhaps that's the issue? I'm new to this, so could be user error or something. Appreciate any feedback.

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

You are expected to have your scenes ready to use before starting the stream.

But you can use the Studio mode and the scene will not change when selected. You can edit and the "activate" it. The Studio mode button is near the Start Streaming button

Hey all quick question. Is it possible to make it so that if I change my alerts (new gif/video, sound, text etc...) in one overlay it makes the change in my alert boxes on all of the other overlays? I see that I can duplicate the alert box onto other overlays but I tested it and updating it in one overlay doesn't make it change in another overlay. Now yes if its big changes it's easier to duplicate the alert box and just adjust the positon in the other overlays if I need to rather than changing each one manually one at a time. However it would be nice to just be able make an adjustment to an alert in one central location and have it update the alert in all the other overlays. Anyone know if this is possible?

I just want to add my own observations in the past few days:
first it was my throwing system app not responding to new followers on Twitch
next it's streamelements overlay not reacting to new followers, no alerts, no updates to events list and recent followers list
everything else works, like raids, new subs, resubs, gifted subs, all still good so far
now my subscriber count widget is just showing zero, when my streamer dashboard on Twitch shows I have a non-zero sub count
I can only assume Twitch is doing changes in the api that causes apps and services unable to react to events
just a heads-up if the devs aren't already on top of it

Hello, I am having issues with the item redemption/store redemption widget/graphics. I have store items set up and ready to go with gifs and sounds. When I add the "Store Redemptions" widget to an overlay and hit test the default present icon does not display. When redeeming a store item nothing appears within OBS OR the overlay editor besides the notifications panel stating an item was redeemed. "Preview LIVE on Stream" is also checked under emulate.

it's the opposite for me: new followers are not showing up in my streamelements overlay widgets
raids and subs are still being reacted on by overlay widgets like alerts and events list
this started happening when Twitch announced official collaboration/integration with streamelements and other services
so I can only assume Twitch is constantly changing stuff in the background API because more issues keep popping up, like how my SE overly widget for subcount is showing I have zero subs when my streamer dashboard on Twitch says otherwise

Does anyone know a fix for the alerts not working? I did the recommended steps they said (making sure the bot was a mod, and unpairing/pairing it again), and it fixed it for my follows and raids, but anything involving subs/bits still doesn't work. It also announces that my ads are running for 0s but that's not a big deal in comparison. Does anyone know a way to fix it until they patch whatever this is? (Or did I miss something they mentioned to try? Tech is not my strong suit unfortunately.

The canvas has a set aspect ratio, you get "blank" space there because in order to keep the aspect ratio OBS cannot make the canvas wider. You can either make your side docks wider to fill the space or you can shrink whatever docks you have below the canvas and allow the canvas to expand.

I have some custom commands and I only want to see the reply from the bot, not the ! command in chat, I thought it would be the option "hide commands from public pages" when I created them, but they still appear.

That is not possible, as your command is just a normal message for Twitch. Only our bot sees is as a command. The option you're talking about is for the commands page of your SE profile. In my case it'd be https://streamelements.com/dermiepz/commands

Unfortunately not. Are you the only person to trigger commands in your chat? If yes, then a workaround may be the way to go. You can filter message per user, so you could just filter out all of your messages in your overlay:

I had the same problem and i think i figured out a solution

disconnect yourself from twitch, then click connect again. when the twitch popup opens to authorize, click "not you" and login with bot account

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active, as shown in this GIF: https://imgur.com/a/2JhJD0S

I have 2 Stream Elements accounts
Account 1 = Twitch main account + Old Defunct Youtube linked account
Account 2 = Youtube main account

I want to unlink my StreamElements Twitch account from the defunct Youtube account and link it with my new main Youtube account

Last I checked, if I remember correctly, the only way to do this was to request a deactivation of Account 1 in order to free up my Twitch account, and then link it into Account 2
Is this still what I need to do?

Yeah, you cannot unlink one account, only.
You will need to deactivate the Twitch main account and then link into account 2 as you said.
However, that will make you lose your current configuration, commands, overlays, etc etc on your Twitch one

I don't think you can add the command as a timer. What you can do from the chat is just enable or disable an existing timer.
Also, you don't need editor access. The streamer can generate a link for Bot Supervisor, these are the differences:

Can you see the bot in your Twitch chat list? If so, you can part and join the bot again to check. Also make sure the bot is not muted or banned from your channel.

It depends... You have the Streamelements alerts below many other sources, so maybe it is behind them.
Try to move it up and test again.
Also check if you test on Streamelements website > Overlays, the alerts appear.
