Well yk as the AA your meant to take out the air vehicles. If you don’t have enough time to lock on to the vehicles than your awareness might not be as good as the opponents. Also, as a jet main, you can simply nosedive on top of the wildcat and the user won’t be able to look up and hit anyways. I agree with you though the turret speed is way to slow.

yes. there is no reason a shoulder fired AA should have the same lock on range/damage as a vehicle AA. thats the entire point to mount it on a vehicle, to have better sensors and larger payload than a person could even carry. even on a lateral target (like im on his left as jet passes low) and track him from side to side, they still just AB away before the lock is finished. so whats the point? the cannons dont do enough damage to them despite being "air burst flak"

Skills are super janky and unbalanced (and will continue to make balance in the overall game a nightmare), the "specialists as individuals" is dumb and pointless and annoying, and the attempts to tie any "narrative" to them have been a disaster as no actual narrative exists in-game outside of the bio cards.

Bring back the BFV character creator, let us create our own "character" for each specialist role. Solves a ton of the problems, especially with BF2042 feeling like "Clone Wars" seeing 10+ of the same character running around.

It's really nice! But it's also an example of how specialists screw balance to the extreme. A single Roa, if hidden, can shut down vehicles all by his lonesome which is absolutely busted as hell and makes trying to balance infantry vs. vehicles a nightmare (as we can see with DICE still struggling to even start addressing this balance)
