After this question has been asked by many in the official BF forums but has not received any response, I will try again here. Please at any EA/Dice employee to respond to this in any form. Either by tellling us that this is coming soon or -- if not -- why this is not being implemented ASAP as it is an easy thing to do on the EA/Dice side with no effort at all an basically ALL remaining players would instantly benefit from it.

But the gist is the following proposal that would as mentioned cost basically nothing (less than a day of dev time) and would help ALL players (and most likely attract back some of us that left).

A list of problems addressed/fixed when implementing this:

- Match making every round
- Squads being ripped apart after a round
- Multipe squads from the same gaming community that spend quite some time to be able to finally join the same server being separated and having to repeat this again for the next round
- Having to play the same map multiple times (or having to cancel match making repeatedly)
- Not being able to play a desired map the whole evening, simply because you are never matched into a server running this map

Proposal:

You can solve ALL of the above mentioned problems (most likely more) by doing one simple thing; one thing we KNOW FOR A FACT is possible RIGHT NOW and that you actually DID BEFORE several times already.

The proposal would be for you to do what you did when you created the Rush playlist. But instead of Rush, do that with the current AoW game modes.

That is ALL you have to do, create an official Portal experience, give it the current default/vanilla BF2042 rules (and full XP like you can do for the offial modes), place all current BF2042 maps in the rotation and then replace the buttons in the main menu to match make players into those servers instead of spawning new instances for one match only.

That is everything you need to do to make playing the game for all players so much better. I guess this is a job one engineer can do in an hour, a day at most (not sure about the main menu part, but you did that before with Rush and the other official modes, so we know it is possible on the fly without patching the game as well).

It will not split the player base as with this change, the current BAD system with match making every round would not be used/required anymore.

So, we KNOW it is possible, we KNOW it will solve ALL the problems outlined (many are still remaining of course, but it is a start and costs you virtually nothing).

this is also a direct question to @brazen breach @coarse falcon @old eagle of course and any other EA/Dice employee that is supposed to respond to community requests/feedback

Previous games were not developed by this studio, EA Gothemburg used to be known as Ghost Games, you know, the buddies from the good NFS games after the Black box ones, the things you speak of were done by another studio, with another employees and under different cirsumstances, with that said, you do not know for a fact if said thing is possible, not only because coding limitations, but also other things such as money and production focus, which I guess is heavilly focused on S1 and the DLC content right now, as that is the next big thing for the game and was already delayed once

If we play (we stopped playing, but when we were) we play with 8-10 people and getting into ONE server together EVERY ROUND is not what I call working
With this proposal we could at least play (do the 'dance' once per evening instead once every round)

I think you need to be careful with a weapon that can damage vehicles at that rate of fire and at that range by infantry

Ground vehicles are already under a lot of pressure from larger player count with more launchers

It would be very easy for the ntw-50 to be very frustrating for tank drivers to deal with.

I like how you can disable boltes with one hit though to the engine. Makes them a slow easy target.

this map is smaller than 2042 but look at all that open space. The trenches allow for infantry to traverse areas without being as easily noticed.

The spaces are more "natural" looking because these sort of weird plateaus that nobody can get on top of without being out of bounds are completely unnatural but it's better for gameplay flow.

this player also knows that enemies pushing the control point behind him are likely going to come from that area he's aiming at because of the hills segmenting off lanes.
To his left there is a flanking route, so the enemy is not entirely closed off or forced to attack from one angle, but it gives structure to the battlefield that is lacking in 2042. In 2042 the whole view angle here would be open and you'd have to guess where enemies are likely to approach
