it locks your frame rate to your monitors refresh rate, basically the amount of frames that monitor is programmed to mainly do, i sometimes have v-sync on for some games since my laptops hardware is so much advanced then my monitor it causes my game to have constant high frames, but my game starts to act weird and static me, kind of lagging you can say, so v-sync locks the frame rate with what the monitor is best at doing

honestly i dont see 2042 making a comeback, the core gameplay and mechanics isn't there, BF4 dispite having a absolute horrid launch had really good core mechanics and gameplay so people stuck with it,

However BF2042 has.no core gameplay or mechanics, maps feel extremely empty and a very noticeable lack of destruction

I've noticed the level design, it doesn't feel like battlefield at all.
I could get BF1 instead but I'm not a big fan of games set in WW1 with older guns
